Then ca the day when he actually began the experint.
Aside from Hu Buxue and You ngran, there were another two or three Tianling Ridge disciples as observers. The subjects involved in the experint were only those thirty or forty Little Demons Wang Qi himself taught. He first called roll, and then based on these little ones' species, age, and Spirit Wisdom levels, divided them into two experintal groups and one control group.
"First up is the True Beast Class... Starting with the most nurous, the Carnivora, the cat family. Big Cat!"
"ow!" A joyous black cat ran out from the midst of the beasts. After half a year of education, this little cat had gained so Spirit Wisdom and could understand human commands.
Wang Qi first conducted a preliminary survey on it using Chen Feng's questionnaire, and then he put the driver on the little cat. Everyone watched intently, so even holding their breath, fearing they might disrupt the experint.
As the mory body was inserted, an obvious change occurred in Big Cat. It first appeared very confused, shaking its head and moving restlessly. Then, it noticed Wang Qi, its eyes lit up, and it ran over in a stumbling fashion. "ow, ow-ow, ow, ow-ow-ow, ow-ow!" It jumped around Wang Qi, calling out eagerly, with a cadence in its "voice" that was markedly expressive.
"This is…" Wang Qi patted his head, "Sorry, sorry, I forgot you can't speak yet."
Spirit Awakening Demon Clans' throats and tongues were not adapted for human speech without special training. However, Wang Qi was well-prepared for this. He placed his hand on the little black cat's head, and then powerful Soul Power enveloped the cat's head.
The Dream Building Technique, a type of Illusion Technique. For Yangshen Pavilion Disciples, this spell was mandatory training. Not every creature could grasp the concept of "dreams." Many notions that seed obvious to humans were beyond the understanding of animals. For instance, nurous animals couldn't comprehend "reflections," unable to distinguish their own mirror images.
Asking whether it understood "illusion" was essentially inquiring about its awareness of "consciousness" and "self."
"Dream... ow? Big Cat can dream?"
The little black cat's computational and thinking abilities had been boosted by the mory Body, and Chen Feng had embedded so knowledge into it. Now Big Cat was roughly equivalent to a two or three-year-old human child, capable of stamring out a few words.
For a toddler, focusing on a question for an extended period was obviously difficult. Quickly, it abandoned worrying about "dreams" and started gleefully circling around Wang Qi.
"Big Cat, co here... don't pounce! Behave!" Wang Qi scolded the little black cat a few tis before asking it other questions.
After completing his observations, Wang Qi ended the dream and returned to reality with Big Cat. Exhausted from the dream, Big Cat was handed over to Hu Buxue for care. Then, he called out the second na on the list: "Third Cat!"
After inserting the mory Body, Wang Qi once again entered the dream. Upon learning it could speak, Third Cat didn't hesitate and leaped onto Wang Qi: "Teacher made talk ow, ow, I can talk, I can talk now."
"Get off !" Wang Qi picked up Third Cat by the scruff of its neck, then began the interrogation. However, unexpectedly, Third Cat exhibited a natural talent in the domain of Illusion Techniques, instinctively discovering the knack for enlarging itself. It transford into a three-foot-long cat and energetically rubbed against Wang Qi's face.
One by one, as they were tested, each Little Demon displayed affection towards Wang Qi within the dream.
Of course, there was the rare impatient little creature that obtained too much strength and struggled with control. With the Ghost King mory as an external Magic Foundation, it could provide mana whose quality was equivalent to the worst at the Early-Stage Foundation Establishnt, and the quantity was comparable to the Qi Cultivation Late Stage. Wang Qi only barely managed to suppress these Little Devils. Fortunately, after entering the dream, the troubleso kids cald down after just bumping Wang Qi's belly.
Once the experint concluded, Wang Qi looked at the sleepy Little Monsters scattered on the ground and felt a wave of warmth recalling the small devils in the dream calling him teacher.
