Wang Qi wore a rather sly, triumphant grin as he spoke, "Smack, smack."

Smack, smack? What did that an?

It was obviously an onomatopoeia! The sound of a face being slapped.

Wu Fan couldn't help but laugh and cry upon seeing so passerby with an expression as if he had just eaten shit, "Wang Qi, isn't this a bit... excessive?"

"Excessive? Not at all. This is education, you get ? Teaching him the ways of being human!"

"Doesn't this make you seem small-minded?"

Wang Qi chuckled, "Small-minded? What's that? Can you eat it?"

A qualified top student must be eager to help others, but nowhere is it stated that a good student can only slap faces with silent facts.

I like to slap faces in person, I'm just blabbering, so what? What of it!

Faced with Wang Qi's logic, Wu Fan could only bitterly smile. Although their friendship wasn't deep, Wu Fan could tell that despite Wang Qi's eccentric ways and unpredictability, he was still a friend worth having. It's just his character...

Was this why he always claid to have "very few friends"...

After completing his counter-slap, Wang Qi no longer paid attention to that passerby and focused intently on watching the combat. However, his manner of watching the fight was utterly lacking in decorum. He kept shouting and comnting on the situation on stage, often blurting out phrases like, "Ah, too bad," and "That move's no good," as if he was itching to take their place. Wu Fan began to wonder, if it weren't for the arrays separating the dueling area from outside interference, perhaps those fellow students would jump out and take care of this annoying guy first.

Wang Qi's behavior attracted a group of people. With his knowledge from a previous life as a foundation, his perspective far surpassed those of his peers. And after grasping the Essence of Spirit Energy recently, his insight had beco quite sharp. To the new Immortal Institute Disciples gathered around, his seemingly casual comnts struck ho like pointed barbs.

To this, Wang Qi felt imnsely proud.

At that mont, an unusual commotion ca from a distance. All of a sudden, it beca quiet to the left of Wang Qi. Turning to look, he saw a Foundation Establishnt Cultivator in black, accompanied by an Immortal Institute Disciple, walking over.

The black garnt was distinctive; it wasn't the uniform of any Sect, but rather a symbol of direct allegiance to the Immortal Alliance. The fabric was profusely black, yet on the left shoulder was an embroidered silver image of the Bi'an, a mythical creature signifying the majesty of law—this was the uniform of a Law Enforcent Officer.

The Immortal Alliance, the Constitution and Law Departnt, the Law Enforcent Officer, the internal power of the Immortal Alliance.

Among the three forces directly under the Immortal Alliance, the Security Guardian, the Guardian Envoy, and the Law Enforcent Officer, the Law Enforcent Officers were the fewest, with the strictest criteria for selection. Firstly, a cultivator becoming a Law Enforcer could not have any record of violations; secondly, he must be well-versed in the laws of the Immortal Alliance; and lastly, he must be impartial. After passing multiple assessnts, the new Law Enforcent Officers have to undergo a quarter's internship at the Discipline Office of the Immortal Institute.

The Immortal Institute Disciple being ushered over was Yang Jun. For a long period, he would have to live under the watchful eye of this Law Enforcent Officer.

Wang Qi wasn't too keen on dealing with Yang Jun, but Wu Fan went over to greet him.

However, it didn't take long before Wang Qi had no choice but to deal with him.

"Wang Qi, Yang Jun, prepare at ring six, spot eight!"

Wang Qi sighed and, shaking his head, headed towards the site of the duel. The Law Enforcent Officer personally accompanied Yang Jun there.

Once Wang Qi arrived, he didn't have to wait long before taking the stage. The two Cultivators who fought before them both practiced the Thunder Technique, aiming for quick and decisive battles.

Before stepping onto the stage, the Law Enforcent Officer patted Yang Jun's shoulder as if lifting a Restriction from him. Then, Yang Jun entered the stage, and the protective Restriction around the area was quickly reactivated.

As soon as the Array isolating the interior from the outside was effective, Yang Jun managed a wry smile and said to Wang Qi, "Didn't expect to et again so soon, Senior Brother Wang."

"Heh." Wang Qi raised both fists, adopting a boxing stance, while ntally calculating a swift victory.

Yang Jun continued with a wry smile, "I know, you look down on quite a bit."

"Good that you know."

Wang Qi's retort caught Yang Jun off guard. He felt that such things wouldn't usually be said to one's face. However, he only paused briefly before continuing, "Even so, I owe you thanks for your guidance. And, about yesterday's incident... I'm sorry."

"That apology should not be directed at ," Wang Qi said.

Yang Jun's eyes dimd slightly, "Then... please pass on my ssage..."

Wang Qi impatiently said, "Are you done talking? If you keep wasting my ti, I'm going to start without you."

Even mud statues have a point of resistance. After being rejected by Wang Qi in such an incredibly impolite manner multiple tis, Yang Jun was sowhat infuriated. He said no more and began energetically circulating his ntal thod, forming several layers of Protective Gang Qi around his body.

Yang Jun's Cultivation Technique was also the Yan Cheng Xuan Di Scripture. This technique was easy to start with, had strong growth potential, and offered both offense and defense, which made it more popular among the Immortal Institute Disciples than so of the techniques from the back hall.

The Yan Cheng Xuan Di Scripture was a technique enlightened from the Shenzhou Land by predecessors of Mountain River City. It cultivated the Earth Core Divine State, imitating tectonic shifts. By absorbing a trace of Earth Fire into the Dantian, it could utilize the heat to significantly enhance the vitality of the solid Kun elent, allowing the Cultivator to wield the Mana more flexibly. The Protective Gang Qi around Yang Jun was modeled after tectonic plates, and could form mountain-raising forces; paired together, they enhanced defensive power and could emit intense vibrations to shock and injure others—naturally, this imitated earthquakes. If Earth Fire were absorbed, then the Protective Gang Qi could interweave with Fla Power, and if necessary, directly eject it.

Judging by Yang Jun's performance, he broke through to Heavenly Communication not much earlier than Wu Fan. Considering the ti, he probably hadn't yet absorbed Earth Fire. This was also why Wang Qi adopted a boxing stance rather than an ordinary starting pose—the stance looked cooler, and Wang Qi had no real intention of fighting seriously.

What was the point of another overwhelming bout?

With a bizarre battle cry of "Ah fight—," Wang Qi slid toward Yang Jun, throwing out a straight punch. It was an attack so simple it couldn't be any simpler.

Yet, Yang Jun neither dodged nor evaded but instead took a strange step forward, eting the punch head-on.

At the sa ti, a sinister smile flickered across the dark youth's lips.

You're the genius, you can look down on .

But you're destined to pay the price for your arrogance!
