Chapter 399: 397, you should thank Ryan quickly.

“Bishop Ryan, you stay out of this, don’t interfere with our lifesaving efforts.”

Matthew cast a cold glance at Ryan, his tone laced with warning.

Ryan opened his mouth wide, beginning to rant in an exaggerated fashion, “Sure, now you’re questioning ? I, Ryan, am the most professional doctor here, the director’s right-hand man, how dare you…”

“You’re finished, I’ll never treat you again!”

Ignoring Ryan, Matthew said to the others, “Go save the person.”

The group hurried into the house.

...

Then Matthew rely looked coldly at Ryan, silent.

This made Ryan feel provoked as he pointed at Matthew, “Old man, you fucking mute, pretending to be aloof with ?”

“I’m telling you, I am determined to save Jas today!”

Saying so, Ryan pushed Matthew aside and swaggered toward Jas’s room.

But Matthew reached out and grabbed Ryan.

“Don’t cause trouble!”

No sooner had he spoken.

A handgun appeared in Ryan’s hand.

The barrel was pitch-black, exuding a chilly aura.

Matthew’s pupils shrank, “Wasn’t that gun confiscated? Where did you get it?”

Ryan said impatiently, “The director always carries a gun with him, of course I’d have one too, why are you asking such stupid questions?”

With that, Ryan’s eyes widened as he had a sudden revelation, “I get it now, you’re changing the subject, you… you’re so bad, you want to stop from saving Jas, you want to dock my year-end bonus!”

“Heartless capitalist! Heartless capitalist, indeed!”

“Director, soone wants to steal Ryan’s hard-earned money, co help !”

Matthew felt even more of a headache with all the commotion.

He felt like he was going to explode.

“I… I will give you a year-end bonus, you can have as much as you want, but before that, tell who gave you the gun?”

Matthew tried to stay calm, knowing that Ryan was a ntal illness hunter, individuals easily frad by others.

The gun might have been given to him by so lurking vermin.

The goal was to create chaos through Ryan’s hands.

And this was the second ti.

Is there going to be a third? A fourth?

It must be said.

The information Matthew pieced together was very logical, but he had no idea about Ryan’s true Evil Spirit Transformation Ability; otherwise, he might even have wanted to kill Ryan.

Plus, this was the closest he had ever been to the truth.

Thrilled upon hearing this, Ryan exclaid, “That’s what you said, I want a hundred billion.”

Matthew’s face went green, “A hundred billion? Are you out of your mind?”

With disdain, Ryan said, “You’re the one who’s out of your mind. As Doctor Ryan, only second to the director, is it too much to ask you for a hundred billion?”

Looking at Ryan, Matthew felt a headache coming on.

He should never try to reason with a madman.

Thus, he forced a smile and said to Ryan, “A hundred billion, huh? That’s not much, I’ve already transferred it to your bank account. Now, can you tell who gave you the gun?”

Ryan nodded and was about to speak.

Matthew’s eyes brightened with hope, and many nas of hunters from Dusk Bell fluttered through his mind, ready to cross-check with the na Ryan was about to reveal.

But suddenly.

Ryan hesitated, “I need to check if the money is actually in my bank account first. What if you’re lying to ?”

Matthew chuckled and shook his head.

He might not know Ryan inside out, but he was very clear about his experiences and past.

This patient from Hill Psychiatric Hospital didn’t have a bank account at all.

Neither had one been arranged for him after joining Dusk Bell.

A madman remains a madman…

It was ridiculous.

However, in the very next second, Matthew’s eyelids twitched uncontrollably.

In front of him, Ryan pulled a bank card out of his pocket and shook it near his ear.

The breeze blew his hair aloft.

Ryan’s face changed dramatically as he pointed at Matthew and cursed, “You lied to , you didn’t transfer any money, I thought you were a heartless capitalist, but you’re actually a broke-ass!”

“I, Ryan, will rember you. Unless you pay twenty billion, I’ll never forgive you.”

With that, Ryan turned and left, bursting into Jas’s room.

Matthew stood there, his face dark as if it were about to drip with water.

He really wanted to kill Ryan, but considering that Ryan might be a pawn of so people, he didn’t want to startle the snake by striking the grass.

“Just you wait, the next ti you give sothing to Ryan, I will definitely catch you!”

At this point, the room was already in chaos.

The people who had just entered all had ugly expressions on their faces.

“Damn it, the sll in this room reminds of a public toilet, it’s really too foul.”

“That’s not right. Jas has been unconscious for more than two days. Even if he’s been vomiting and suffering from diarrhea, he shouldn’t have produced such a strong sll.”

Gradually, these people realized that sothing was off.

They discovered that, apart from being mixed with so odors, Jas’s body didn’t seem to have soiled himself.

And his clothes were clean.

Soone couldn’t help but say, “Could it be that soone peed in Jas’s room after he passed out?”

Soone imdiately denied it, “How could there be such a despicable person?”

At that mont, Ryan strutted in with a gun in one hand and the other hand in his pocket, looking extrely arrogant.

“Everybody get the hell out of my way, Doctor Ryan is about to heal.”

So people turned and glared angrily.

But seeing the gun in Ryan’s hand, their expressions changed slightly.

“Damn it, how did you get a gun again?”

Ryan scratched his head: “How would I know?”

Saying this, Ryan excitedly pushed forward.

The person lifting Jas said coldly, “Don’t ddle, we need to get him out of here, move aside quickly!”

Ryan cocked his head and pointed the gun at the speaker.

The man, frightened, let go and kept backing away, “Calm down, Ryan, Jas is really dying, can’t you see we’re trying to save him?”

Ryan said disdainfully, “I can’t see that. I only see that after my treatnt, your condition has sowhat stabilized, but it hasn’t completely improved, and yet you dare to impersonate a doctor?”

“Do you have , Ryan, in your eyes?”

As soon as he finished speaking,

Ryan pointed his gun at the others, “Put Jas down, the bonus for curing him must be mine, this is… um…”

He struggled to find the words.

Muttering to himself several tis, Ryan then shouted, “This is what the director said.”

The people, being aid at with a gun, had no choice but to put Jas down on the ground.

Their image of Ryan was still that of a special Evil Spirit with the ability to dismantle hunters and turn them into ordinary people.

Getting involved with such a ntal illness hunter was sothing nobody wanted to provoke.

Ryan, however, didn’t care at all. After walking over to Jas, he suddenly found himself in a dilemma.

He thought to himself, “Eh, the director never taught how to save soone, did he? All I know how to do is prescribe dicine…”

“No, that can’t be right. I’m so professional, how could I possibly only know how to prescribe? It doesn’t make sense!”

Suddenly, a light bulb went on in Ryan’s head. He rembered cursing at Freddy in his dream the day before yesterday, and when he beca tired, he watched a TV show where doctors were resuscitating patients with defibrillators.

So, Ryan coughed and dragged Jas, who was lying on the ground, towards the power strip in the room.

During this process, everyone looked at him with puzzled eyes.

But what happened next left them all dumbfounded.

Ryan stuck Jas’s hand directly into the socket of the power strip, and instantly Jas’s body began to tremble, hair standing on end.

And Ryan was completely unaffected by the electric current…

Incredible.

What stunned them even more was that, following that, Jas opened his eyes and rolled them back, trembling.

Ryan kicked Jas away.

The latter convulsed on the ground, a sorry sight, but indeed he had woken up.

Even Jas himself started gasping for air, speaking hurriedly, “What… what happened to ?”

Ryan looked down smilingly at Jas, “You’re awake, I’ve cured you, I’m your lifesaver!”
