Chapter 355: 352, look into my eyes

When Ryan finished his last sentence, he excitedly hung up the phone.

It wasn’t the first ti he had called Du Wei in his dreams.

But each ti he called, he could get confirmation from Du Wei.

Ryan’s happiness was that simple.

However, Freddy in the autopsy room wasn’t happy at all.

It was so angry it couldn’t contain itself, and the mist around it boiled over.

...

“I rember now, this voice…”

“This voice… Ryan Hal, the damn bastard who seduced my mother!”

Its reaction seed to lag, only bellowing in rage after Ryan had hung up the phone, whether out of fear or because it only then rembered.

When Du Wei heard this, he frowned, “He’s Ryan Hal? That exorcist who disappeared twenty years ago?”

Freddy roared, “Give the phone, I want to kill him, it’s him who has turned into what I am now, he must pay the price.”

With a sowhat somber tone, Du Wei asked, “Are you sure?”

If the Ryan he knew was indeed the genius exorcist Ryan Hal from twenty years ago, sothing seed very wrong.

Ryan and Du Wei were about the sa age, both young n.

If Ryan was that person, he’d be nearly fifty by now, how could that be possible?

With a ferocious tone, Freddy shouted, “I will never forget his voice in my lifeti.”

Du Wei felt a headache coming on, he no longer wanted to keep communicating with Freddy because the Marking Ability had already been triggered.

The atmosphere in the entire autopsy room beca oppressive to the extre.

One by one, ghosts appeared around the room, the indoor temperature plumted, and the overhead lights flickered…

In the corner.

Out of nowhere, a doll appeared, it was Annabelle.

But what puzzled Du Wei was that the mont Annabelle appeared, she didn’t attack him at all, but was trembling wildly as if she were in fear of sothing.

“Are you afraid of the nun? That doesn’t make sense, she’s in the dream outside the autopsy room right now, without my permission, she can’t co in at all.”

Du Wei found it inexplicable, as Annabelle’s behavior was just too strange.

Normally, she should have attacked him imdiately upon being marked.

But instead, she was fearful, as if she had experienced unspeakable terror before the Marking Ability was activated, just like a person.

“Could there be trouble at ho?”

A thought flashed through Du Wei’s mind, but then he heard the sound of a car horn outside the autopsy room.

All the marked evil spirits and those strange entities appeared in Du Wei’s dream.

It seed, though, that the location from where the Marking was triggered was off, with the timing several minutes apart.

As for the shadow, it had already appeared behind Du Wei, standing within his shadow.

A pair of bloodshot eyes swept over Annabelle and finally settled on Freddy.

“Devil… you really are a devil, you can actually summon evil spirits, you are not human at all!”

Freddy was also struck dumb by this scene, its powers useless against Du Wei. Among all the evil spirits in the autopsy room, it was the weakest.

The weak have no say.

Du Wei was also sowhat puzzled by this scenario.

Normally after the Marking, evil spirits should attack him, even those he had carefully selected himself should not be this safe…

“My luck shouldn’t be this good.”

Du Wei laughed self-deprecatingly and his right hand, transford by the evil spirit, grabbed Freddy by the neck.

Then, in an unusually gentle tone, he said to Freddy, “Look into my eyes.”

“You devil, Freddy won’t listen to you,”

Freddy scread in terror, stubbornly turning its head away, not daring to make eye contact with Du Wei.

But it was utterly pointless.

Because that sentence was precisely ant to make it believe that it absolutely could not make eye contact with Du Wei.

This was psychological suggestion.

The less it wanted to make eye contact with Du Wei, the stronger the image reinforced itself in its mind.

The longer the ti passed, the more convinced it beca of this fact.

Then, Du Wei’s voice slowly rose, “Your na is Freddy Krueger, your mother was a nun, you grew up on Elm Street, and the person you hate the most is Ryan Hal.”

Freddy struggled frantically, unwilling to listen at all costs.

But Du Wei relentlessly continued, “You desire to take revenge on Ryan Hal, and as I am his boss, the recent phone call can prove that.”

“I can offer you a chance to et him.”

“But there is a price for this, I need you to do sothing for .”

“Of course, this won’t be difficult for you, that is to kill .”

Freddy wasn’t an Evil Spirit, it could understand Du Wei’s words, but they only drove it even crazier.

It roared loudly.

But Du Wei still spoke, “You can think of it as a deal, a transaction between you and , no one else will know, Ryan is my most foolish right hand, I don’t care about his life or death at all.”

“So you don’t have to worry about this being a trap.”

In the course of this, Freddy’s struggle gradually weakened.

Eventually, it tentatively asked, “You’re not deceiving ?”

Du Wei answered with a smile, “Of course not.”

Grinding his teeth, Freddy responded while looking at Du Wei, “But I can’t be sure that everything you say is true, and after I kill you, you’ll be dead, how can you help with my revenge?”

Du Wei calmly stated, “That’s not important, what matters is that you saw my eyes.”

Outside the dream, in New York, it was nearly dawn.

Everything experienced in the dream might be very brief, but in reality, it could be a very long ti.

That’s why people might feel, after only dreaming for a short while, they open their eyes and it’s already dayti.

North Brook District.

The torrential rain continued.

A line of black sedans stopped in front of the psychotherapy clinic.

Hannibal and the others got out of the cars, each with a determined look in their eyes.

“I sll his scent, the fragrance of flesh and blood…”

Hannibal stood in the rain with his arms spread wide, his lips curling upwards, his voice barely audible.

“I can feel it, he’s right here.”

“Move in, bring him back to Europe, make him its host.”

When Hannibal lowered his head, his clothes were already drenched by the rain, and in the dark, his reflection cast three shadows.

The other Cultists burst through the door.

While Hannibal stood amid the crowd, a hunter under the state of Spirit Vision, the psychotherapy clinic gave off a cold and eerie feeling to him.

“Sothing is off about this house, it’s like a nest that nurtures Evil Spirit.”

He knew that Du Wei had the power to manipulate Evil Spirits but wasn’t worried, as any Devils appeared he would imdiately act and devour them all.

However, what perplexed Hannibal was that after the Cultists broke in, there was no sign of activity.

As the Cultists entered the psychotherapy clinic, it was as though they entered another world altogether.

Everything was isolated.

Behind the door, there was a thick fog that could only be seen under Spirit Vision, as profound and silent as the abyss.

“You no longer have the right to resist.”

Hannibal gave the others a look.

The Cultists took out their tranquilizer guns one after the other, standing behind Hannibal.

They intended to capture Du Wei alive.

Hannibal lowered his head, his eyes filled with blood vessels, a scarlet expanse.

He lifted his leg and stepped into the mist.
