Inside the house.

Billy looked at Du Wei in front of him, and the feeling of resistance in his heart quietly lessened a lot.

Du Wei continued, "When I was younger than you, my parents had already passed away. I'm an only child. I've faced all the problems you're facing now, and even worse ones, but I know things will get better. That's why you think my life is so comfortable, that's why you think I can't empathize with you."

Billy retorted, "But you think I'm sick. In reality, I am not. I really saw that thing, like a clown, it ate my brother."

Du Wei said indifferently, "The last ti we t, our relationship was that of doctor and patient, so I didn't believe what you said. But now it's different. I have joined the church and have beco the exorcist in charge of the Evil Spirit incidents in New York."

After confirming the abnormal situation with Billy, revealing his identity as an exorcist had no downside.

Suddenly.

Billy gritted his teeth, "You're not lying to , are you?"

"Why would I lie to you?"

Du Wei directly took out his exorcist's certification and showed it to him.

Billy was just a teenager. He didn't know how to identify the authenticity of an exorcist's certificate, but children of this age aren't usually so particular about things.

Therefore, he imdiately believed it.

Looking at Du Wei, Billy said with so excitent, "All those adults don't believe what I say. They think I'm just scared by the town's legends, that I'm trying to shirk responsibility."

"Responsibility?"

Du Wei frowned, it seed that last ti Billy hadn't told the whole story.

And just at that mont.

Gena ca over with a pot of coffee, speaking with a hint of sadness, "Alright Billy, your brother's death wasn't your fault. Don't bring it up again."

As he spoke, he walked to the coffee table, placed the pot of coffee on the kettle's base, and pressed the heating button.

Then he apologized to Du Wei, "Billy has always been very self-reproachful about his brother's death. It's also very painful for , but I don't really want to talk about this anymore. There's no need to talk about these things for a dical follow-up, right?"

But as soon as he finished speaking.

Gena noticed the exorcist's certificate in Du Wei's hand and his eyes widened in shock, "My God... are you a church exorcist?"

Du Wei said seriously, "Mr. Gena, as you can see, I am indeed an exorcist, and my purpose here is not simply to conduct a visit for dical follow-up, but to deal with the clown that Billy has been talking about."

Gena swallowed, "I... I don't know what to say. This is beyond my understanding. Weren't you a psychiatrist?"

Du Wei explained, "I joined the church last month, but that's not important. What matters is the trouble Billy is encountering."

Gena asked in confusion, "What do you an? The trouble that Billy is encountering?"

Du Wei answered, "Yes, Billy has also been targeted by sothing, possibly the clown-like creature he ntioned, or let's say Pennywise."

Gena's expression changed slightly, "Isn't that just a horror story?"

Du Wei said flatly, "In a way, it is indeed just a horror story, appearing once every twenty-seven years. Every ti it appears, it preys on young children."

Gena shook his head, "It's true that our town has such stories, and so people claim to have encountered Pennywise when they were children, but many others have not had such experiences. I have always thought it was just sothing to scare children with."

Hearing this, Billy interjected discontentedly, "Dad, but I really saw it."

Gena said with a headache, "Okay, okay, you saw it."

Clearly, he didn't particularly believe Du Wei's words; he was just going along with his child.

And Du Wei wasn't disappointed either. After all, not many people in this world believe in the existence of Evil Spirits.

The world view that has been established for a long ti isn't so easy to break.

Unless the person sees it with their own eyes.

But according to Pennywise's behavior, it seems that no ordinary person can see it, except for children.

Even for those who do see it, there has to be a specific ti condition.

It only appears once every twenty-seven years.

Thinking of this, Du Wei rushed to ask Gena, "You didn't have any similar experiences of seeing Pennywise twenty-seven years ago, right?"

Gena sighed and said, "Yes, and at that ti, I was studying in New York City and rarely ca back to town."

Du Wei nodded, indicating that he understood, then pondered for a mont before saying, "I need to ask Bill so questions. You can think of it as about his illness, so would you mind not interrupting us until we're finished?"

"Of course, Dr. Du Wei..."

Gena breathed a sigh of relief. For him, whether Du Wei is a psychologist or an exorcist, he would give him the due trust.

Even though he didn't quite buy into Pennywise, he would believe what Du Wei said.

After all, no one would deny a person who ant well to them.

Seeing this,

Du Wei turned to Bill, who had opened his heart, and asked, "Tell about the clown you saw. It's best if you recount it from the beginning to the end."

Bill umd, gathering his courage and said, "That day was rainy, and I was playing at ho with my little brother, but he was very young and naughty. He insisted that I buy him a balloon because his classmate at elentary school also had a big balloon."

"Dad and Mom were not at ho, so I could only go to the nearby supermarket by myself to see."

"But I couldn't find one. I could only go ho and explain to my little brother that we would go to the amusent park in town to buy him one when the weather cleared up."

"But my little brother said sothing strange to ."

Bill bit his lip; his breathing beca slightly rapid, his chest heaving erraticly.

Du Wei quickly reminded him, "Take deep breaths, stay calm, you can take your ti."

Bill nodded heavily, took a few deep breaths, and then cald down.

His face was very pale, with a trembling voice he said, "I rember very clearly, at that ti my little brother said, 'Bill, I want the balloon from the uncle outside.'"

Du Wei narrowed his eyes, "Outside?"

Bill swallowed hard, "That's what I asked him, and he told that there was a clown uncle standing outside the door, holding a big red balloon."

"I turned to look, but I saw nothing."

"I thought my little brother was trying to scare , so I didn't take it seriously. After talking to him for a bit, I went to watch TV."

"But at night, my little brother said he saw the clown again, right under the bed. He said he was really scared." Explore stories at My Virtual Library Empire

"We slept in the sa room. At that ti, I got scared and comforted him not to think nonsense. To keep him from being frightened, I even checked under the bed myself, but there was nothing."

"The next day, the rain let up a bit, so I took my brother to the amusent park in town to buy a balloon."

"The balloon seller was a clown uncle too, with funny makeup. My little brother said it was hilarious, but I just felt scared."

"I got a big red balloon from that clown, but when I turned around, my little brother was gone."

"The clown was gone, too."

"Then after that, I kept searching for my little brother. Coincidentally, a downpour started, and everyone in the amusent park left, the staff also began helping look for my little brother."

"In the end... I saw a red balloon hung up in a tree."

"I was so excited at the ti, thinking my little brother was under the tree, so I hurriedly ran over there."

"But when I got there, I saw that clown-like thing... it took my little brother..."

At this point, Bill couldn't hold back any more and broke down in tears.
