Chapter 26: AND SUDDENLY I BECA A PHYSICIAN 2

I knelt beside Master Fu, my heart heavy as I looked at the blood soaking through the cloth around his legs. This was not just pain from an old wound. The injury had torn open again.

"Fu Tong, Fu Sheng," I said firmly, "help

lay him on the ground. Slowly."

They did not question . Fu Sheng supported his father’s upper body while Fu Tong carefully held his legs. Together, they placed Master Fu flat on the ground. His breathing was rough, his face pale, and his jaw trembled as he endured the pain.

Mada Fu broke down completely. She knelt beside him, crying softly, her hands shaking as she clutched his sleeve. Fu Fei was also crying, wiping his sweat again and again, but the cloth was already soaked with blood. Fu Teng stood beside them, holding both won and quietly comforting them.

I took a slow breath and tried to think clearly.

anwhile, Li Manman stood in a corner, carefully watching what was going on. Her face looked as though she was disgusted by the scene before her.

But just then, sothing struck her.

This scene felt familiar.

"If I’m not wrong..." she whispered to herself, "then according to the original story..."

In the original plot, this was the mont when the female lead ran into the forest to look for dicinal herbs. She found the right plants, stopped the bleeding, and saved Master Fu’s life. Because of that, the Fu family began to value her deeply, and Fu Sheng’s feelings for her slowly changed.

She smiled widely. This was her chance to gain the attention of Fu Sheng and the Fu family. Without hesitation, she slipped away and made her way toward the forest, in search of sothing only God knew what.

I slowly stood up and looked at everyone.

"I’ll be back," I said quietly. I needed so dical products, and that was sothing only the system could help with at tis mont.

Before I could take another step, small hands suddenly wrapped around my legs.

I froze.

Little Jun had run toward . His tiny hands clutched my clothes tightly, his body trembling as he looked up at

with tear-filled eyes.

"Please... step-mama," he whispered, his voice breaking between sobs. "S-s-save grandpa..."

My heart lted instantly.

I looked down at him, and for a mont, I forgot everything else. His face was wet with tears, his lips trembling as he tried so hard to be brave.

I slowly lifted my head and t Fu Sheng’s gaze.

He was staring at .

There was pain in his eyes deep, silent pain that he did not bother to hide. In that mont, I understood how heavy this night was for him.

I looked back down at Little Jun again.

The more I looked, the more I realized it.

The two of them looked so much alike.

I bent down and gently stroked Little Jun’s smooth hair, my voice soft and steady as I reassured him.

"Don’t be afraid," I said gently. "I will help Grandpa. I promise."

Little Jun nodded weakly, still holding onto

as if letting go would make everything fall apart.

Only then did I gently loosen his hands and turn toward the forest.

This ti, I did not hesitate.

I walked deeper into the forest until the faint glow of the campfire completely disappeared behind . The sounds of crying, hurried voices, and restless movent slowly faded, leaving only the quiet rustle of leaves and the distant chirping of insects. Hidden by the darkness, I finally stopped, certain that no one could see or hear

here.

I took a steady breath and lowered my voice.

"System."

A soft light appeared before my eyes, and the familiar presence answered .

[Greetings, Host. How may I assist you today?]

"I need access to my dical storage," I replied calmly.

A blue, transparent screen opened in the air in front of . Rows of neatly arranged dical items appeared, all of them rewards I had obtained during my first mission. My eyes moved quickly across the screen as I considered Master Fu’s condition. His old wounds had reopened, his muscles were torn, and the bleeding would not stop. If I made even one wrong choice, his condition could worsen.

I focused and began selecting what I needed.

I selected dicine that could quickly stop the bleeding, reduce inflammation, and prevent further damage. I chose pain-relief dicine to ease his suffering, along with an ointnt designed to repair torn muscles. To prevent infection, I added antibacterial dicine and clean dical bandages. Finally, I selected a recovery pill that would help stabilize his body and restore his strength.

One by one, the items vanished from the screen.

[All selected dical supplies have been successfully transferred to your bundle.]

I let out a quiet breath and nodded, feeling a sense of relief settle in my chest.

"Is there anything else you require?" the system asked.

I shook my head.

[Very well. I wish you success, Host.]

The blue screen slowly faded away, and the forest returned to its silent darkness. my expression firm and determined.

Now that I had everything I needed, it was ti to return and save Master Fu.

I turned back toward the camp and hurried through the forest. When the faint glow of the fire finally ca back into view, my steps quickened. As soon as I reached the resting place, I went straight to my bundles without wasting a mont.

I crouched down and searched through them carefully, opening one after another until I finally found the bundle the system had prepared. When I saw the dical supplies inside, my heart settled slightly. I took everything out and stood up.

As I walked toward Master Fu, everyone instinctively stepped aside to make way for . Their eyes followed my every movent, filled with worry and hope. Fu Sheng stood up at once, his gaze fixed on , his tense expression easing just a little.

I stopped beside Master Fu and gave him a small, reassuring smile.

"Father," I said gently, "are you ready? This is going to hurt a little."

Master Fu looked at

with tired eyes, then nodded weakly.

Before I could begin, Fu Fei looked at the items in my hands and asked anxiously, "Sister-in-law... what are those?"

I did not hesitate.

"I asked my parents to prepare so dicine for ergencies," I said calmly. "It should help Father’s injuries."

The mont my words fell, Mada Fu covered her mouth as tears stread down her face. This ti, they were not tears of fear, but tears of gratitude. She bowed her head repeatedly, unable to speak, her shoulders shaking as she cried.

I took a steady breath and knelt down beside Master Fu.

Now, it was ti to begin.
