"Marry . You won’t lose anything, and you can enjoy all the glory and benefits that co with being the young mistress of the Feng Family. If you give birth to my child, the rest of your life will be worry-free. Don’t you think these two things are every woman’s dream?" Yan Ting’s expression was cold and aloof, once again becoming that high and mighty, ruthless man. His speech was slow, yet it carried an invisible sense of oppression.
It was as if no one could refuse the conditions he proposed.
But Banxia imdiately rejected him: "No... I won’t sign this agreent because I don’t want to marry you, nor do I want to have your child. I don’t need you to support for the rest of my life."
Banxia had thought it through very clearly. She was rely borrowing Yan Ting’s power to take revenge on the scum man and woman who hurt her, to protect the pear garden—nothing more. She had no other demands. She didn’t covet the splendor and wealth of the Huo Family, nor did she lust after the beauty and charm of the man before her.
Yan Ting’s face instantly darkened. He hadn’t expected this woman to decline him without even giving it a second thought.
"Lin Banxia, are you sure you’ve thought this through?" Yan Ting’s eyes turned icy, his voice laced with mockery.
Banxia responded with certainty: "Yes, I’ve thought it through. I can sleep with you, but I’m unwilling to marry you or have your child. I’m sorry. Could we revise this agreent?"
"There will be no revisions. This is the agreent I’ve set. Your pear garden, your secret crush, your father’s billion yuan, and even your own life are all tied to this agreent. Whether you sign it is up to you. If you don’t, then every promise I’ve made to you will imdiately be null and void." Yan Ting was truly enraged by her response. No woman had ever dared to defy one of his decisions.
This woman had audacity—did she really dare to refuse to marry him?
Banxia’s face turned as pale as snow. She stared in disbelief at the man who had suddenly transford into a cold, ruthless devil before her.
Every word he spoke was a dangerous reminder of how grim her fate would be if she didn’t agree to his terms.
"Lin Banxia, don’t test my patience, and don’t mistake my indulgence for tolerance. Either you beco my wife, or you die. You’ve never had any other choices. Do you understand?" Yan Ting’s eyes were icy, and his tone was frosty.
Banxia was utterly stunned. Suddenly, she found Yan Ting before her to be horrifyingly unfamiliar, like a stormy sky that could engulf her at any mont with torrential rain and snow.
"You want to marry , but not because you love . Then why?" Banxia questioned him through her sadness and pain.
"My grandfather is pushing to get married quickly. My grandmother is desperate to see a grandchild. Besides, getting married and having a child soon would only benefit my career without any downsides. That’s the reason I want to marry you," Yan Ting replied coldly, his words devoid of any romantic sentint.
Upon hearing this, Banxia seed to understand. Then, she curled her lips into a cold sneer. "If this is your purpose for marriage, then can I add one more clause to the agreent?"
Yan Ting stared at her deeply before nodding. "Go ahead. What do you want to add?"
"After three years, we divorce!" Banxia declared resolutely.
"What? Say that again?" Yan Ting was instantly furious. He stood abruptly, his strong hands slamming down hard on the table. His tall fra leaned toward her, his eyes blazing with fire, as though they were about to consu her whole.
