Huo Tianfeng returned ho and walked straight into his study. In a fit of rage, he shoved an invaluable antique off the desk, sending it crashing to the ground.
After planning for so long, such a ticulous setup, Yan Ting was so close to eting a tragic end. But unexpectedly, he managed to narrowly escape. A flawless assassination plan had now gone up in smoke. How could Huo Tianfeng not be furious?
"Consider yourself lucky!" Huo Tianfeng ground his teeth in hate, then let out a cold snort, "You escaped this ti, but there will always be a next ti. I refuse to believe your luck will hold out forever!"
Huo Tianfeng made a call to Chu Younan to inform him about the changes in Yan Ting’s schedule.
"So coincidental? Could he have sensed sothing?" Chu Younan sounded worried, as his current position was extrely sensitive. If Yan Ting truly found out this matter was connected to him, it could jeopardize his plans for next year’s presidential election.
"I don’t know if he caught onto anything, or if he’s just that devoted to his little fiancée. In any case, my father has already agreed to let him stay ho to accompany his fiancée. This trip to Country Y will be taken over by instead!" Huo Tianfeng gritted his teeth in frustration.
"I really hope he hasn’t realized what’s going on and that it’s purely a coincidence. Otherwise, why don’t you test him out?" Chu Younan suggested cautiously, still uneasy.
"How exactly would I test him? It’s better to tread carefully with this. Let’s cut down on contact for a while and find another chance to act." Huo Tianfeng was reluctant to test the waters because he knew Yan Ting all too well. The man was truly terrifying.
When the ti ca to be ruthless, he was crueler than anyone else.
"Fine then, we’ll wait for another opportunity. Let’s let him off this ti for now." Chu Younan could only sigh in quiet disappointnt.
Gu Family!
In the morning, sunlight poured into the bedroom.
Gu Qianxi, who had spent most of the night dealing with the restless little thing in his arms, was still fast asleep at this mont.
anwhile, there was a small figure lying next to him, half-propped up on her elbow. One tiny hand supported her chin as she stared intently at the sleeping man, her gaze filled with fascination.
Uncle really is so handso!
Tong Keke thought to herself that her little uncle was the most attractive man she had ever seen. His features were flawless, and more importantly, he carried a refined and noble charm that was both gentle and irresistibly masculine.
As Tong Keke looked at the man’s slightly pursed lips, she couldn’t hold back her urge.
So, she leaned in with her small mouth and planted a soft kiss on his lips. The kiss lasted barely a second before she quickly pulled away.
In his sleep, Gu Qianxi felt sothing soft, warm, and sweet pressing against his lips. He woke up with a start, his eyes flying open. The first thing he saw was a beautiful, adorable little face gazing back at him with a mischievous smile.
"Keke..." Gu Qianxi’s handso eyes widened in disbelief.
Tong Keke blinked her big eyes and called out sweetly, "Uncle, ti to get up! I’m going to be late for school!"
Gu Qianxi suddenly rembered that she had school today. His grogginess instantly lifted as he propped himself up. "Why didn’t you wake up earlier?"
"I didn’t have the heart to wake you. Uncle, didn’t you sleep well?" Tong Keke batted her lashes and asked with a playful smile.
Gu Qianxi looked at the little troublemaker’s deliberately cheeky expression and gave her a teasing pinch on the cheek. "No more coming to my bed to sleep from now on. You’re going to make lose even more sleep!"
Seeing her uncle’s slightly embarrassed reaction, Tong Keke was overjoyed.
Gu Qianxi pulled back the covers but, in the next second, scrambled to grab a piece of clothing from the side to cover himself as he dashed toward the bathroom.
Behind him, Tong Keke laughed even harder. Was her little uncle embarrassed?
