After discussing the engagent gifts, the old lady went back, and Banxia sat on the bedroom sofa, waiting for Yan Ting to return.
She promised the old lady not to ntion the matter, so she decided not to bring it up.
If she did, it would only trouble Yan Ting, and besides, Qing Lin had already paid for his actions.
It was past eight when Yan Ting returned, dressed in a tailored suit, exuding an indescribable elegance.
As soon as Banxia saw him enter, she felt an urge to throw herself into his arms, to feel his warmth.
Seeing her rush over, Yan Ting opened his arms and held her tightly.
"Did you miss ?" His deep voice beside her ear was filled with affection for her.
"Yes!" Banxia, having let go of her shyness, completely unleashed her emotions in front of this man.
"Did you take a shower? Slls nice!" He kissed her neck and smiled as he spoke.
Banxia closed her eyes, enjoying his kisses, then stepped back a bit from his embrace: "Go take a shower!"
Yan Ting couldn’t help but pinch her cheek: "Wait for on the bed! I’ll be quick!"
Banxia obediently responded with a hum and lay on the bed to wait.
Over ten minutes later, the man erged in a gray bathrobe, his muscular figure appearing even wilder and sturdier beneath the fabric.
Banxia shyly looked at his physique, her face flushing with heat.
Yan Ting sat beside her, wrapping a long arm around her, pulling her into his embrace.
"How was it with my grandma today? Did you encounter any trouble?" Yan Ting asked casually.
Banxia’s beautiful eyes froze montarily before she gently shook her head: "No, how could I encounter any trouble? Your grandma is treating very well now!"
"That’s good. Did she talk to you about the engagent gifts?" Yan Ting, busy with work, had delegated the preparations for the gifts to the old lady.
"She did, the amount of gifts was astonishing. Yan Ting, do you regret marrying ?" Banxia couldn’t help but ask. Regarding the gifts, she truly hadn’t given them much thought; money had lost its aning to her now. All she wanted was to give back to her mother, for giving her life.
Yan Ting’s brow furrowed slightly: "Why ask such a question? Have I ever shown any regret?"
"Not now, but that doesn’t an not ever!" Banxia thought, as over half a year had passed and she had only two and a half years left. Yan Ting had spent so much money to marry her, yet she might leave him and their child, going to another world. The thought made her heart ache.
"Never will!" Yan Ting pressed his lips to her forehead: "Don’t say things like that again."
Banxia had to keep quiet about it; as long as she didn’t think about death, her days remained fulfilling and joyful.
The next morning, Yan Ting and his grandfather took the engagent gifts to the ng Family.
The whole family of Cheng Roning was at ho, and seeing Old Sir Huo arrive, they were sowhat nervous.
Old Sir Huo, upon seeing Cheng Roning and ng Bowen, imdiately offered a kind smile: "Mr. ng, Mrs. Cheng, today is a happy day for both our families. I hope that as we beco relatives, we can often support and interact with each other!"
Cheng Roning smiled at Old Sir Huo, gratefully saying: "We are thankful that the Huo Family appreciates my daughter, and in the future, we will rely on you to take care of her."
Yan Ting imdiately smiled and replied: "Auntie, taking care of Banxia is my responsibility. Please rest assured."
