Gu Qianxi deliberately waited for Wang Ling’s car to disappear into the distance before restarting the engine.
Always composed and unflappable, he now felt sweat break out on his back. He frowned slightly, glancing at the silly little thing beside him, grinning like a fool.
"What’s wrong? Let’s get going already." Tong Keke’s heart felt as if it were soaring to the skies. She hadn’t expected that her uncle would... personally teach her.
An image of a boy suddenly flashed through Gu Qianxi’s mind. He knew that the boy nad Gong Ze was very interested in his Keke.
And this little one was always bold and curious. What if she really went looking for that Gong Ze...
At that thought, Gu Qianxi stepped hard on the accelerator.
The car surged forward, moving so fast it felt like it might take off.
Tong Keke was startled and quickly grabbed on to her seatbelt. But she wasn’t scared—she was exhilarated, nervous, trembling with excitent.
When they arrived at the dorm building, the two of them walked upstairs, one behind the other.
"Dean Gu, could you hurry up?" Tong Keke suddenly beca very anxious, afraid that her uncle wasn’t planning to co up and stay a while.
Gu Qianxi paused at the elevator doors, hesitating as expected.
The thought that had crossed his mind earlier was too reckless. His breath tightened, but now that he was out of the car, the cold night air had cleared his head a little.
"Keke..." He called her na softly, hesitantly.
"What is it?" Tong Keke’s small face tensed as she looked up at his handso features with wide, blinking eyes. "You’re not coming up?"
Gu Qianxi, dressed in a sharp black suit, stood tall and elegant, his refined aura commanding. He raised his hand to rub his forehead, as though struggling with an impossible decision.
He had always been calm and resolute in front of this little one, unwavering in his authority.

"If this puts you in a difficult position, I won’t force you." Tong Keke had already sensed what his hesitant words ant. A wave of sadness washed over her, as if she’d been tricked into expectations she shouldn’t have had.
With a defiant sway of her slender waist, she stepped into the elevator and hurriedly pressed the door-close button.
Gu Qianxi watched the elevator doors slide shut and then stared at the ascending numbers on the display. His mind went blank for a mont.
He turned and stepped outside. Winter had already arrived, and faint traces of the season’s first snow seed to drift down from above.
Gu Qianxi looked up, feeling the feathery coldness land on his face and lt away.
So cold—yet it could not calm the fiery turmoil within his chest.
"Damn it!" Gu Qianxi muttered a low curse in frustration.
He should never have given that little one even the slightest hope. And now... the deep disappointnt in her eyes felt like a knife twisting in his heart.
He glanced again at the closed elevator doors, then looked up at the unlit windows of her dorm room.
Still dark...
His heartbeat faltered inexplicably, then quickened.
Suddenly, his tall fra spun toward the elevator, his steps hurried and resolute.
With slightly trembling fingers, he jabbed furiously at the elevator button, an unspoken mix of anticipation and unease swirling within him.
Finally, the elevator doors opened, and he stepped in quickly.
As the elevator ascended, Gu Qianxi could feel his heartbeat racing faster and faster.
When the elevator reached her floor and the doors slid open, Gu Qianxi only hesitated for half a second before striding out decisively.
He stopped in front of her door and raised his hand... knocking lightly.
The door was imdiately opened from the inside. In the darkness, he seed to hear the sound of the little one sobbing softly.
Gu Qianxi felt his heart clench tightly. He stepped inside and closed the door behind him.
