Yan Ting’s mood inexplicably improved after hearing her words.
"Are you saying that if I had co to pursue you earlier, you would have fallen in love with ?"
Lin Banxia’s small face turned bright red, her voice soft and faint: "I only know that right now, whoever treats well, I’ll like them."
"What if I don’t treat you well?" Yan Ting listened to her childish words and couldn’t help but feel amused.
Lin Banxia looked genuinely startled. Her small face snapped up, and her two big, dark eyes stared at him.
Yan Ting found it hard to suppress the storm of emotions inside him. He reached out with his fingers, gently lifted her small face, and once again sealed her slightly parted, soft lips with his own, kissing her furiously and possessively.
Lin Banxia’s mind was in complete chaos. She hadn’t expected him to avoid giving her a clear answer but instead kiss her so intensely that her breath faltered.
She instinctively resisted, her small hands reaching out to push him away.
What did he an earlier when he said he wouldn’t treat her well?
If he wasn’t going to treat her well, then why was he kissing her?
Yan Ting noticed the force in her resistance and reluctantly pulled away from her warm, sweet lips. His voice was hoarse as he asked, "What’s wrong?"
"Explain yourself clearly!" Lin Banxia’s two small hands were still pressed against his chest as she lowered her head, breathing heavily.
Yan Ting thought this woman had a fiery temper at tis, like a little wildcat, capable of scratching right at his heart.
"If I don’t treat you well, who else would I treat well?" Yan Ting realized he might have gone too far with his teasing and upset her.
Lin Banxia glared at him angrily and turned her back on him. "Then why did you say those things to provoke earlier?"
"I just like seeing you angry, you look so cute," Yan Ting said mischievously.
Lin Banxia grew even angrier and pushed away his outreaching hand. "If you keep scaring like this, I swear I’ll stop talking to you."
Yan Ting’s heart sank slightly in panic. He quickly pulled her tightly into his arms again and sighed, "Don’t ignore , okay?"
Lin Banxia heard the gentle pleading in his voice, and the resolve she had just built up softened like mush again.
"Have you talked to Leng Weichen? What did he say?" She leaned back into his embrace, speaking sullenly.
Yan Ting’s gaze imdiately darkened with frustration. "He refused."
"Even you talking to him didn’t work? Why won’t he let go?" Lin Banxia’s heart began to race anxiously. Could it really be like her past life, where she would get entangled with Leng Weichen again?
"I suspect he likes you," Yan Ting said, his intuition as a man sharp.
Although Leng Weichen claid he pitied Lin Banxia for being abandoned and wanted to give her a career,
a man wouldn’t pity a woman unless there was first a spark of interest. Otherwise, there are plenty of won more unfortunate than Lin Banxia on the streets—why doesn’t he pity any of them?
Lin Banxia’s heart skipped a beat as she guiltily asked, "Why do you say that? Did he say sothing to you?"
"No, but I feel like he has a different kind of sentint toward you, Banxia. Haven’t you noticed it yourself?" Yan Ting thought this woman could be sharp at tis but also clueless, leaving him uneasy.
How could Lin Banxia admit that she had noticed it a long ti ago but chose to ignore it?
"I’ll talk to him again tomorrow. If I need to pay a penalty fee to terminate the agreent, I have money saved up—I can pay it," Lin Banxia also began to realize the seriousness of the situation. Leng Weichen clearly intended to keep her.
"Alright. Go directly and ask him if he likes you. If he says no, then tell him to let you go. If he cannot give you an answer, then co back and tell ..." Yan Ting thought that if Lin Banxia asked him personally, Leng Weichen would have to reveal the truth.
Lin Banxia laughed bitterly, "Isn’t it a bit embarrassing for a woman like to ask sothing like that?"
