Lin Banxia drove to the café and parked her car before heading upstairs with her bag.

Inside a private room, she saw her father sitting with another middle-aged man. Next to the middle-aged man sat a young man who appeared to be his son.

"Banxia, you’re here!" Lin Kunhuai quickly stood up upon seeing her, smiling as he introduced, "Boss Liu, this is my daughter, Lin Banxia."

The middle-aged man, who referred to himself as Boss Liu, raised his head to size up Lin Banxia. Then he turned to his son and asked, "What do you think?"

Boss Liu’s son had initially looked uninterested, but as soon as Lin Banxia stepped in, his eyes lit up with excitent.

"Dad, since this is a blind date arranged for , why don’t you and Uncle Lin leave first? I’ll spend so ti with her." Boss Liu’s son, Liu Dong, had a roguish deanor. Presently, his interests revolved solely around won, and Lin Banxia, being young and beautiful, perfectly suited his type.

When Lin Banxia heard the words "blind date," her expression instantly changed. She turned her gaze toward her father, and Lin Kunhuai hurriedly explained, "Banxia, this is Liu Dong, the son of Uncle Liu. Their family is renowned in the construction materials business. Liu Dong is their only heir. You’re both young and have plenty to talk about, so why not sit down and chat for a while?"

"Dad, is this why you called over? How could you ask to go on a blind date?" Lin Banxia felt stifled and angrily questioned him.

"I never said it was a blind date. I rely wanted to introduce the two of you. Treat it like making a new friend. Just spend so ti with Liu Dong. I’ll head back to the company with Boss Liu now." With that, Lin Kunhuai swiftly ushered Boss Liu out, leaving space for the two young people to be alone.

Lin Banxia felt on the verge of exploding with fury. She should have known—if her father sought her out, it was bound to be trouble.

But she hadn’t expected it to be sothing this despicable.

Liu Dong gazed at her with great interest and laughed, "Your na’s Lin Banxia, right? Could it be that you’re the one who recently made headlines for divorcing the eldest son of the Huo Family? I asked your dad about it earlier. Though he didn’t confirm directly, I figure that must be you. You’re quite beautiful—it’s no wonder the eldest son of the Huo Family was smitten with you. Sit down and let’s talk. What would you like to drink? I’ll order it for you."

Lin Banxia’s face grew cold at the man’s rather rude words. She mocked, "Judging by what you’re saying, are you looking down on for being ’discarded’?"

"What? I’m stating facts, and you’re upset about it?" Liu Dong hadn’t expected Lin Banxia to have such a strong temper and was montarily dumbfounded.

"Even if it’s true, it’s not your place to say it to here. I was tricked into coming here by my father. I’m leaving now." After speaking, Lin Banxia stood to make her way to the door.

However, Liu Dong moved even faster, blocking the door and slamming it shut. His slightly overweight body leaned against the doorfra.

"What are you doing? You’re not letting leave?" Lin Banxia hadn’t anticipated that this man would be so shaless as to barricade the door.

"Lin Banxia, stop pretending to be innocent. Everyone knows you’re nothing but ’second-hand goods’ after being discarded by a wealthy heir. Why are you putting on airs for ? If not for my dad’s connection with your dad, do you really think I’d be interested in you?" Liu Dong imdiately shed his prior polite facade, revealing his true colors. The refined deanor he had displayed earlier was rely an act for Lin Kunhuai.

Lin Banxia was utterly disgusted by this man. What right did he have to talk about her like this?

"Liu Dong, is it? Let warn you—step aside right now, or you’ll regret it." Lin Banxia showed no fear. She was furious. Did being abandoned really make her so pitiful? Did it really an she was inferior, a target for others to trample on and humiliate?
