"Give a reasonable explanation for why you won’t accept the work arrangent I’ve made for you?" Leng Weichen stepped in, and after taking only a few steps, he suddenly turned around. Lin Banxia, unable to stop in ti, almost bumped straight into his chest.
"No reason, I just don’t want to work here anymore." Lin Banxia bowed her head and quickly stepped back several paces, trying to maintain so distance from him.

Originally, she just wanted to find a job, working as a receptionist at the front desk. She thought that wasn’t too bad. But after Huo Anya’s scene today, she had drawn Leng Weichen’s attention. Now, not only did he graciously help her out of the awkward situation, he was offering her an ideal position. Thinking back over all these occurrences, Lin Banxia’s heart couldn’t help but beat faster with unease.
She was genuinely afraid that Leng Weichen was being too good to her.
"President Leng, please don’t be angry. I’m still very grateful for your help, but... due to personal reasons, I’d like to leave." Lin Banxia bowed her head, her voice small and soft. There was no way she could bla Leng Weichen for any of this.
"You signed a three-year contract with my company. If you quit midway, you’ll have to pay a penalty fee for breaching the contract." His voice still carried a trace of anger.
Lin Banxia suddenly raised her head, staring at him in disbelief. "I signed a contract, but it clearly stated it was a probationary contract, didn’t it? Could it... actually be the formal contract?"
Leng Weichen’s gaze cooled slightly. "You’re really incredibly naive. Didn’t you check the contract carefully when you signed it?"
"I... I did!" Lin Banxia stamred, practically losing her ability to speak. She did look at it, but... not carefully enough.
She was dood. Would she truly be trapped here, unable to leave even if she wanted to resign?
"President Leng, for the sake of us knowing each other from before, can you grant one more act of rcy and let leave?" Lin Banxia imdiately forced a smile and pleaded, hoping he would let her off the hook.
"And what if I refuse?" Leng Weichen suppressed the surge of frustration in his chest. The thought of this woman being so desperate to escape from his side irritated him to the extre.
Lin Banxia froze for a mont. "Why won’t you agree? I’m not so irreplaceable talent. Keeping here doesn’t do you any good; I won’t be able to fulfill any value you expect from ."
She was on the verge of fainting. Lin Banxia hadn’t expected resigning from a job would be more difficult than getting hired in the first place.
