After all, it was just a casual acquaintance.

The young girl glanced casually at Jiang Shouzhong going upstairs but didn’t pay much attention.

Upon entering the room, Jiang Shouzhong was about to remove his disguise mask and take off his clothes for a bath when suddenly, he heard a slight noise at the window. Imdiately, the window flew open, and a gust of night wind burst in.

Before he could regain his senses, a golden figure had already flashed into the room.

It was a woman dressed in a luxurious golden dress.

"Jiang Mo?"

The woman asked straightforwardly.

Startled, Jiang Shouzhong instinctively stepped back. When his gaze fell on the woman, the familiar adornnts and aura imdiately conjured images from the depths of his mory.

The woman was none other than the female expert he had seen under the ruins of Huailan Lake.

"Er Liang?"

Jiang Shouzhong looked around but didn’t see the familiar figure, a hint of concern in his voice as he asked gravely.

"No worries, she’s resting. We’ve been fighting all day; she’s a bit tired."

At these words, the corners of the woman’s mouth curved into a mild smile as she spoke leisurely.

Fighting?

Jiang Shouzhong furrowed his brows.

Luo Wanqing sized up Jiang Shouzhong, a hint of scrutiny and inquiry in her eyes as she mocked, "Still wearing your disguise, whom are you guarding against? Yet, your deanor is indeed comndable. No wonder Jiang Yi was willing to help you."

"Take to Er Liang."

Jiang Shouzhong did not wish to engage in idle chatter with her.

Luo Wanqing raised her eyebrows slightly, "Young man, I complinted you, and you can’t even say thank you? Never mind, accompany to do sothing as a thank-you gift for my praise."

Jiang Shouzhong suddenly cald down, "You are one of the queen’s people, right?"

"Sothing like that."

A flicker of jest passed through Luo Wanqing’s eyes.

The woman stood with her hands behind her back. "Jiang Mo, since you have taken up the task, you should serve the queen well. You rushed to Fengcheng this ti instead of going to Qingzhou; I thought you had uncovered clues about the mission, but you were just dealing with personal matters. Do you realize how grave the consequences could be for delaying the queen’s business?"

Jiang Shouzhong responded gravely, "I haven’t actually undertaken any task from the queen?"

He took out an envelope and said, "This is what Dean Ge Yulong tricked into believing was a task from the Liushan Division."

Luo Wanqing’s expression turned sowhat ugly.

That Ge Yulong, claiming Jiang Mo took up the task joyfully, when in fact it was all a play.

Good, good, go back to guarding tombs then.

Expressionless, Luo Wanqing waved her sleeve and said indifferently, "Anyway, now that I’m here, you better work properly for the queen. If you disagree, I’ll have to force your agreent, as my patience is limited."

"Lady, I know you have high cultivation, but how high can it be? Sanctum Ascension? Sorry, I’m really not afraid."

Having mounted a Sanctum Ascension expert before and with Sanctum Ascension ngniang secretly protecting him, Jiang Shouzhong, as a Great Profound Sect Master, had started to get a bit carried away.

Sanctum Ascension, not taken seriously.

"Slightly higher than that Snake Demon secretly protecting you."

Luo Wanqing parted her vermilion lips slightly, "Just a... minor Feathered Transformation Realm, that’s all."

"Feathered—"

Jiang Shouzhong was stunned, then imdiately clasped his hands together and said solemnly, "It would be an honor to serve the queen. Whatever tasks the queen has instructed, just command ! I will climb the knife-laden mountain and descend into the sea of fire without hesitation!"

"Ah, quite sensible, aren’t you? Good."

Luo Wanqing smiled.

Jiang Shouzhong secretly grimaced.

Damn it, an immortal of the Feathered Transformation Realm has co, what can I do?

"I complinted you, why don’t you thank ?"

Luo Wanqing’s gaze shifted subtly as she spoke softly, "Since that’s the case, you owe a thank-you gift."

Jiang Shouzhong’s lips twitched.

After hesitating for a mont, he asked, "Lady... ah no, thank you, what do you plan to have do with you now?"

"Go kill soone."

"Thank you... who?"

"Luo Mingtang."

"Thank you... who!?" Jiang Shouzhong was astonished.

Wasn’t Luo Mingtang already dead?

Smiling, Luo Wanqing stepped closer and said, "Did I not make myself clear? Tonight, you and I will go kill the queen’s father... make sure to do it thoroughly."

Jiang Shouzhong remained dazed for a long while, confirming that she was not joking, then asked doubtfully, "Thank you... isn’t Luo Mingtang already dead?"

"Can’t you stop saying thank you?" Luo Wanqing frowned.

"Alright, thank you."
