The mournful voice was filled with pain. Leng Yan stiffened his back, closing his eyes to avoid looking at her.
Ji Wei held him tightly from behind, sobbing quietly, "Talk to , Yan. Just talk, okay?"
"Let go!"
Leng Yan frowned deeply, forcing his heart to harden.
Three years ago, he had also held her, pleading with her not to leave. But what about her?
Today, why should he stay?
Ji Wei’s heart trembled, yet she remained stubborn, "No, I won’t let go. Yan, even if you call despicable, I won’t let go."
She wouldn’t let go; she had let go once before and knew how much she regretted it now. How great it would be to choose again.
"Yan, I love you." She whispered and hugged him even tighter.
"Ha, love?"
Leng Yan suddenly chuckled lightly, forcibly prying her fingers open one by one. He turned to look at her, the corners of his mouth lifting in a mocking smile, "What a joke. I once mistakenly thought you loved , but you woke from that dream with one sentence."
He deliberately dragged his tone, the deep black eyes tinged with bitter pain, "As you said, your feelings for were re pity, not love. I was just soone you pitied. If you truly loved , would you have left so resolutely three years ago? Ji Wei, rember, I don’t need your pity. I didn’t need it then, and I don’t need it now."
Tears flowed even more freely down Ji Wei’s face, and she pressed her face to his chest, "It’s not pity, Yan. I love you, I always have. I left because I had my reasons."
Reasons?
Leng Yan’s thin lips twitched, clearly not believing her, as he pushed her away, "Why didn’t you tell three years ago?"
"I left not because I didn’t love you, but because I loved you too much."
Ji Wei’s voice carried a deep-seated affection, she looked at him, sighing softly.
Leng Yan raised an eyebrow, "Ji Wei, can you not be so pretentious? I can’t understand what you an."
How ridiculous, not because of love, but because of too much love. Love enough to leave him, no matter how he begged her to stay?
"Three years ago, I was raped..."
Ji Wei’s voice was gentle as she spoke, and Leng Yan’s steps suddenly faltered. He steadied himself against the bedpost, his voice filled with trembling disbelief, "What did you say?"
Ji Wei stared at him, already wiping away her tears, her lips pale as she looked at him without speaking.
"I asked what you said?"
The shock was overwhelming. He unconsciously tightened his grip on her wrist, his deep, dark eyes filled with pain, shouting, "Who, tell who?"

"Xixi, what’s wrong with your foot?"
Wen Nuan parked the car and went straight to Tong Xi, squatting down where she sat to check her foot injury.
She had just co out of the restaurant with Tan Qing when she received a call from Tong Xi. She said her foot was injured and it was hard to get a taxi in the area, so Wen Nuan left Tan Qing and ca over.
"My foot is fine." Tong Xi pulled her foot back, "Nuannuan, I was afraid you wouldn’t co out, so I lied to you. Co, let’s go find soone."
"Find soone?" Wen Nuan was surprised. This was a high-end neighborhood, not far from their villa, and besides her, Tong Xi hardly had any friends. Looking at her expression, she seed furious. Could it be that soone had offended her, and she was bringing her as backup for revenge?
"Yes, find soone!" Tong Xi angrily pointed at a car not far away, "Look at the Range Rover up front, isn’t that your husband’s? He’s eting a vixen here secretly, and I brought you here to catch him in the act!"
