"Even I’m not allowed?"

Leng Yan sat down on her bed, a teasing smile carrying a hint of displeasure: "My room, I never said you couldn’t enter."

Wen Nuan lowered her eyes, unsure how to respond to his words.

He hadn’t said it, because it was supposed to be their new ho. But, sadly, in the new ho, the newlyweds were rely left with an empty room.

On their wedding night, he used tenderness to humiliate her, and yesterday, he didn’t return to that house at all, let alone that room.

The oppressive silence made her feel uncomfortable. After a long ti, Wen Nuan lifted her head: "Didn’t you say you weren’t coming?"

On the note he left her, it was clearly written in black and white that he wouldn’t accompany her back to her family ho, yet suddenly he arrived at the Wen Family with her, leaving her puzzled.

Leng Yan’s smile slowly faded, and a cold snort ca from his nostrils: "Did you think I wanted to co?"

He didn’t want to co at all, but Leng Siyan seed to already know his thoughts. While he was still sleeping in the hotel bed before dawn, he received a call, instructing him to go to Wen Family with Wen Nuan.

"It’s getting late, you should go ho."

She knew he wouldn’t co voluntarily; soone was forcing him, and he did it reluctantly.

The coldness in his eyes pierced her; Wen Nuan closed her eyes briefly, leaning against the dressing table, gripping the little bear in her hand tighter.

"What about you?"

Leng Yan stood up, took a few steps toward her, and coldly stared into her eyes: "You want to stay?"

"It’s the weekend tomorrow. Pengfei will be at ho, and I want to help him with his howork."

His coldness made her afraid to et his gaze. She lowered her eyelids and spoke.

She couldn’t consider the Leng Family her ho. She wanted to quietly think in her little room about the path she should take in the future.

Living such a contradictory life, her naturally lively spirit feared she might go insane one day.

Moreover, she had clothes to make for Tan Qing, and there were necessary tools and equipnt in her ho, which made things more convenient.

"Helping Pengfei with his howork?"

Leng Yan’s lips curled into a slight smile, the irony in it painfully obvious.

He tapped the dressing table intermittently, mocking her by exposing her lies: "As far as I know, Pengfei’s grades are good enough to get into a top-tier dostic university. He could even attend a prestigious university abroad. With such excellent results, does he need your tutoring?"

Wen Nuan was taken aback, not expecting him to know Pengfei so well, and her face flushed red.

**

Lying woman!

Disdain flickered in Leng Yan’s eyes, yet he appeared refined and polite while bidding farewell to Wen Qingyan.

"Dad, I will treat Nuannuan well. We get along happily, isn’t that right, Nuannuan?"

He tightened his grip on her waist, whispering close to her ear and smiling affectionately.

"Yes."

No one knew besides them; it seed like he was hugging her, but he was pinching her waist so hard it nearly brought her to tears. Still, she forced herself to endure, smiling warmly: "Dad, take care of yourself. Pengfei, study hard."

You must study well and manage the Wen Family’s company diligently. Only by becoming strong can you prevent others from bullying you.

Unlike her... bullied by him...

"I will, sister. By the way, I didn’t get to wish you happiness for your wedding yesterday, so I’ll make up for it today." At the Wen Family ho, Pengfei was well-protected. He didn’t understand sches nor could he see through them. He sincerely wished Leng Yan and Wen Nuan well, oblivious to the tension in the air. He also held Wen Nuan’s hand tightly: "Sister, with a brother-in-law who loves you so much, you will definitely be happy."

Happiness...

So unattainable.

"I will." Wen Nuan smiled sweetly, yet her head instinctively lifted to gaze at the sky.

Her waist and heart hurt so much that tears nearly flowed. They say looking up prevents tears from falling, and she wanted to try.

But she was so useless that the mont she turned her head, tears flowed uncontrollably. When Pengfei waved goodbye, she couldn’t even turn back to wave him off.
