"What should we do then?" Leng Yan frowned.
"We can only go to the hotel." Ji Wei shrugged helplessly, "Aren’t you going back to see Wen Nuan anyway? It’s on the way."
"Yes, let’s go."
He was just about to go back too, as he and Wen Nuan had agreed to stay there tonight. Besides, Wen Nuan had so very important docunts left in the room, so she would definitely go back.
"I’ll pack these things up." Ji Wei smiled, placing the things on the ground into a bag. When she picked up a final box, she bit her lip, opened it for Leng Yan to see: "Does it look nice?"
Inside was a brooch with an elegant and dignified design, studded with diamonds. However, it didn’t seem suitable for a young lady to wear.
He nodded and said directly, "It’s beautiful, but it doesn’t quite suit you."
"It wasn’t ant for in the first place." Ji Wei smiled bitterly, "I specially bought it for Aunt Li, I just don’t know when I’ll be able to give it to her."
Leng Yan looked at Ji Wei with so guilt, "When I have the ti, I’ll explain everything to my mom. She has always just misunderstood you."
"I hope to resolve the misunderstanding with her soon." Ji Wei stood up with her bag and walked forward with Leng Yan, "I really like hearing her call Weiwei. My mom passed away early, and I’ve always regarded her as my own mother. I really love her cooking. She uses very simple ingredients, but it always tastes like a delicacy..."
She spoke with a smile, but her voice was choked with emotion: "But just because of that one incident, all of this has beco a luxury..."
A pang of pain tugged at Leng Yan’s chest: "Don’t be like this, Ji Wei. When she knows the truth, she’ll love you as she did before."
"Let’s not talk about these things, let’s go to the hotel, Yan, I’m still a bit sleepy. Uncle Wang must have put a lot of sleeping aids in it."
Her eyelids were heavy, as if she could fall asleep at any mont.
They chose the sa hotel, but just changed to a room not far from his. After settling her in, Leng Yan went out to call Wen Nuan.
It was late, and he was worried about her coming back alone. He wanted to pick her up.

They called a taxi back to Tong Xi’s place. Tong Xi, drunk, fell asleep during the ride, and it took a lot to wake her. She was still groggy as she walked. Near the apartnt building, she lost her balance and fell into the shrubs. Wen Nuan struggled to pull her out, exhausted and panting, "Xixi, you drunkard, you’re not allowed to drink again. You’re wearing out."
"Don’t scold , Nuannuan. You should feel sorry for right now; my knee’s scraped." Tong Xi, a bit more clear-headed from the bump, clutched her knee, crying out in pain.
"Ah? Let help you upstairs and put so ointnt on it." Seeing Tong Xi’s wound, Wen Nuan took a breath in sympathy. It was already red and swollen from the bump. She gently blew on it and helped her walk upstairs.
"Is it feeling better?"
Wen Nuan took so cotton balls and hydrogen peroxide from Tong Xi’s dicine box to clean her knee, then carefully applied a band-aid, softly asking.
"Much better, just my head’s uncomfortable."
Tong Xi fished out her phone, looked at the ti, and complained gloomily, "Oh no, I have to shoot a scene tomorrow morning, and Uncle Wang is going to scold terribly again."
"Serves you right! You know you can’t handle alcohol, yet you insist on going out drinking!" Wen Nuan pinched her cheek in exasperation, then suddenly noticed the phone in her hand.
"Oh no, I left my bag downstairs." She dropped it in the bushes while helping Tong Xi.
"Go get it quickly." Tong Xi urged, trying to get up and go to the bathroom, feeling dizzy and almost falling.
"Let help you, and make sure to brush your teeth and go to bed."
"Nuannuan, why don’t you stay here tonight? I’m so annoyed being alone." Tong Xi looked at her pitifully, "What if I feel unwell in the middle of the night, and no one’s here to take care of ?"
"Alright, I’ll stay with you." Wen Nuan agreed with care and affection. She helped her into the room, squeezed so toothpaste for her, and ran downstairs quickly.

"Why isn’t she answering?" Leng Yan frowned at his phone; he had already made a dozen unanswered calls.
Grasping the phone in his hand, he rembered he forgot to pour Ji Wei so water, so he turned back, poured a glass of water, and brought it to her, only to be startled by the sight on the bed.
"Don’t co over, don’t co over!"
Ji Wei’s eyes were closed, her eyelids twitching nonstop. Her hands gripped the quilt tightly, her forehead was covered in cold sweat, and she whispered constantly in her sleep, "Yan, where are you? I’m so scared..."
