"The famous ’henpecked husband’, his company’s boss is actually his wife." Leng Yan glanced at Wang Xing’s back, spoke lightly, then looked at Ji Wei: "You should just go ho, for occasions like this, it’s enough to just show up, you don’t need to stay until the end."

"Once you’re ready, you should head back. The nanny car should be arriving soon..." Ji Wei nodded, lifted her wrist in front of Leng Yan, and sighed: "Looks like I’ll have to trouble you to rewrap it, let’s go, all my things are in the nanny car."

Leng Yan nodded, chatted laughingly with Tan Qing and a few friends for a while, then walked back to the place where Wen Nuan was sitting, squinting his eyes again. Ji Wei urged him, and he glanced in Wen Nuan’s direction before leaving.

Wen Nuan’s eyes, half lowered, suddenly lifted after Ji Wei and Leng Yan left, put down the wine glass in her hand, and followed them.

Wen Nuan walked to the doorway, saw them getting on the nanny car one after the other, then turned back around.

A self-mocking smile spread across her lips.

"What’s with you today, drinking so much?"

Tan Qing initially wanted to chase after her but saw her return, pick up another glass of wine, and his brows furrowed tightly: "Stop drinking, is sothing wrong at ho? Tell , I’ll help you solve it."

He still rembered when Wen Nuan ca to MT, she ntioned not being able to graduate in France due to family reasons. Seeing her drinking in silence now, he naturally thought along those lines.

"I’m fine, Tan Qing, go answer your call, I’ll sit here alone for a bit." Wen Nuan heard Tan Qing’s phone ring and waved him off.

Tan Qing glanced at the number, his face darkened slightly.

It was Qu Min’s, the prospective daughter-in-law his parents found for him, a classic beauty. They’ve known each other since childhood, too familiar with each other, he couldn’t bring himself to like her.

"Is it Qu Min?" Wen Nuan, a bit tipsy, smiled at the sowhat blurry Tan Qing in front of her: "Go ahead, she must have sothing urgent, being so persistent."

Tan Qing looked at her helplessly: "You can be happy even when it’s her calling?"

He thought she would be jealous, but this little woman really was carefree. Does he need to express himself more clearly to prove that the person he likes is her?

"Should I act very angry?" Wen Nuan shrugged and spread her hands, cute and innocent.

"Are you pretending to be clueless or just oblivious?" Tan Qing gritted his teeth in frustration and flicked her forehead hard. The phone kept ringing, as if it wouldn’t stop until he answered. In the end, overwheld by the phone’s persistence, Tan Qing went to the backyard to answer it.

Wen Nuan looked at Tan Qing’s retreating figure, shook her head, and stumbled toward the door.

Aside from Leng Yan, she’s oblivious to other n. But today, she kind of understood Tan Qing’s words. What she said earlier was because she was drunk. Yet, she was also sowhat clear-headed.

She didn’t want to beco the trouble in Tan Qing’s life as he ntioned.

She had no romantic feelings for Tan Qing or for any other man besides Leng Yan.

Erging out, seeing the tightly enclosed nanny car, Wen Nuan managed a bitter smile, bypassed it. She walked to the roadside and hailed a taxi.

"Where’s Wen Nuan?"

Getting off the nanny car, Leng Yan entered the venue. So guests had already left, and Tan Qing was frowning while drinking red wine.

Qu Min was on a trip with her parents, and after a brief conversation, Qu’s father and mother started talking again. Out of courtesy, Tan Qing could only answer reluctantly. After all, the Qu Family and the Tan Family are prominent families, and the Qu Family had even helped the Tan Family in the past. Even though he disliked Qu Min, he couldn’t just hang up coldly.

But when he returned, Wen Nuan was nowhere to be found, and she didn’t answer when he called her. He had thought she went with Leng Yan, but seeing Leng Yan co in, a sudden panic surged in his heart.
