Chapter 337: Demon Sovereign

Participating in the Demon God’s Cemetery was fraught with danger, but was also extremely beneficial for Divine Race members.

Ruins were scattered across the land, waiting for Weapon Masters to encounter them and unearth the precious resources hidden inside.

At the same time, the other participants also served as a source of benefits.

Their Demon Weapons and even their own corpses could be devoured, used as nourishment for one’s improvement.

Even the fight itself was advantageous, as the dangerous environment allowed the young Divine Race members to unleash their potential and break through during the battle.

All of the above meant that the competition was extremely fierce.

Many Weapon Masters died in the first few days, while hundreds of them had been severely injured.

Due to the chaos and the vastness of the continent itself, no one could possibly guess that in one of its edges, a Devil was slowly undergoing a transformation.

Or rather, it would be more accurate to say that it was a Demon Saint who was undergoing the transformation.

Surrounded by the formation, Liora controlled the black umbrella to devour the materials she had "robbed" from the Demon God.

Though only a few hours had passed, the original mountain of metals had now mostly vanished. Only a few fragmented Demon Weapons remained.

As a result, the aura exuded by the black umbrella had grown far more refined.

It was no longer sharp and fierce like a murderous sword, but elegant and silent like a slumbering Moon Elf.

Suddenly, a crashing sound reached Liora’s ears.

Fractures formed all across the umbrella as its body began to crumble, breaking into tiny pieces.

Soon, part of the umbrella was nowhere to be seen.

Only its handle remained, making it look like a cane rather than an umbrella.

Fortunately, Liora’s mind was linked with the Demon Weapon, and she could sense its state. Thus, she did not show any panic despite witnessing such a bizarre scene.

She continued watching closely, observing the process of its transformation.

The Demon Weapon did not keep her waiting for long.

Only a few seconds later, the broken pieces of the umbrella transformed into a silver light and shot upwards.

They revolved around the handle and turned into a small canopy, gradually merging into its top and taking form.

A moment later, a clicking sound rang in Liora’s mind. A silver light flashed brightly and engulfed the umbrella.

Liora felt a large amount of energy enter her body.

It was the feedback brought by the Demon Weapon, signaling that the last shackle restricting it had been broken.

Using a large number of materials, it had jumped to the Demon Sovereign realm, and the same was true for her.

Demon Sovereign—this was a realm equivalent to the Greater Devil stage.

Although they did not possess as many methods, nor the indestructible nature of Greater Devils, Demon Sovereigns were not to be underestimated.

In an instant, Liora noticed a significant improvement in both her physical strength and the demonic energy rushing through her body.

Through a quick investigation, she arrived at a conclusion:

If she could fight against Greater Devils at the first stage before, then she was now able to contend against Greater Devils at the second stage.

Though this improvement seemed small, it was in fact not.

Greater Devils at the second stage were able to easily suppress those at the first stage, as the significance of their entire bodies integrating with Indestructible Matter was massive.

Sensing her overwhelming strength, Liora was happy but did not lose her composure.

Taking the umbrella back into her body, she made a surprising decision.

With a thought, she resumed the process she had previously interrupted—her advancement to a Greater Devil.

Her bloodline was instantly activated, ready to help her advance to another life level.

However, before Liora had the time to be happy, the familiar sense of threat arrived once again, accompanied by the sound of countless overlapping murmurs.

Seeing this, Liora immediately terminated the process of advancement.

However, she didn’t show any dissatisfaction.

Instead, a look of enlightenment flashed across her face.

"I can sense that the danger has decreased a lot. Although I will still most likely die if I were to advance, there is now a small chance that I will survive."

Saying this, she nodded her head.

"It seems that my previous theory was correct."

"As long as I enhance my combat power and reach a certain level of strength, I should be able to advance without facing much danger."

Moreover, this let Liora confirm that it was specifically her advancement to a Greater Devil that brought her the danger.

Other power systems were not included in this equation.

Thus, she tended to believe that her previous guess had been correct.

Her current issue was indeed related to the rare event that was briefly mentioned in her bloodline memories.

Having confirmed this, Liora rose to her feet and deactivated the formation surrounding her.

The advancement to a Demon Sovereign had been accompanied by several visions and had made a lot of noise.

But thankfully, the formation had concealed everything.

No one had noticed that her strength had improved dramatically, nor did anyone know that a new Demon Sovereign had unknowingly been born in this land.

Lifting her head, Liora’s consciousness swept across her surroundings. Several Weapon Masters immediately caught her attention.

Although she couldn’t recognize them, their fluctuating auras made her arrive at a natural conclusion:

These people had obtained a lot from the trip to the Demon God’s Cemetery.

If they were lucky and happened to leave this place alive, it would only be a matter of time until they became Demon Saints.

"This is good. Although demons can also provide me with Indestructible Matter, hunting down Divine Race members is far more efficient.
