Chapter 307: Divine Projection

Though the man showed signs of communicating and no other abnormalities, Liora had never let her guard down.

Thus, facing his sneak attack, she reacted immediately.

Attacked from both the left and the right side, she didn’t choose to evade, nor defend.

Instead, her right hand blurred, and she unsheathed her saber before several crimson lights flickered.

The two serpents’ forward momentum suddenly halted.

The next moment, a thunderous bang echoed, and they exploded like fireworks, soon dispersing into nothingness.

But Liora did not have the time to celebrate. The moment the two serpents vanished, another, equally terrifying attack came.

The man flashed beside her and punched her on the abdomen, as his right hand transformed into a black snake, with two green eyes blinking continuously.

As she stared into their indifferent pupils, Liora felt herself go dizzy.

However, a loud clang suddenly echoed inside her mind and jolted her awake.

An illusory crimson saber appeared beside her soul, and waving on its own, tore the snake’s influence apart.

The man failed to realize this. His fist continued unabated, and the serpent opened its mouth, ready to swallow Liora’s existence whole.

Liora would not miss such an opportunity.

The saber in her hand slashed forward, and a trickle of blood followed as the opponent’s hand was cleanly separated.

Next, Liora aimed at the opponent’s neck.

Caught in surprise and immersed in the pain of having his hand cut off, the protector had no time to react.

The edge of the blade sliced through his neck with ease, causing his head to shoot up and for blood to splatter.

However, this surprisingly did not spell the end of the fight. Though his head had fallen to the ground, his body did not collapse.

Instead, it took a few steps back, opening some distance with Liora.

A golden light emerged across his neck, and the flesh began to granulate.

Before Liora could stop him, the man had completely recovered.

A new head had grown onto his neck, looking exactly the same as the one lying on the ground not far away.

Liora was stunned.

Not because the man could recover from such injuries, but because of the method he used.

Although it was somewhat different, she noticed that the power that healed him closely resembled the Indestructible Matter that only Greater Devils possessed.

This made her curious, but most importantly, excited. She felt that this world had much more to offer than she originally predicted.

Liora was full of thoughts, and the middle-aged man was also the same.

"Aren’t you a Warrior?! How can you hurt me?
