Chapter 111: Dandelion [1] - Baron Bloodshield Puppet
Life Infusion was an ability that Alpha had awakened after devouring the Unknown’s remains, prompting her to undergo a transformation.
By activating Life Infusion, Alpha could temporarily enhance the spirituality within objects, turning them into her puppets that she could control for a short period of time.
This ability provided its user with a variety of uses, some purely auxiliary and others that could be used during battle too.
For example, Alpha could use Life Infusion on her enemy’s weapon and control it to attack them in the middle of the battle, catching the opponent off guard.
Though this ability was relatively simple, it could be said that its potential was endless.
Despite knowing so, when Alpha heard Liora’s instructions, she was left stunned.
It was clear to her that Liora was telling her to use Life Infusion on the corpse of Baron Bloodshield, obviously wishing that she turn him into her own puppet.
Alpha instinctively wanted to say that this was impossible and it would never work, but upon further thought, she discovered that she might have fallen into a misunderstanding.
Indeed, she could use Life Infusion on all dead objects. So, what was stopping her from doing the same to a corpse?
Thinking of this, Alpha swallowed the words that she was about to say.
Perhaps because of her trust in Liora or perhaps because she felt that it made sense, she chose to give it a try.
With a thought of her mind, the skin in her palm parted slightly, revealing a huge, seemingly endless dark hole hidden beneath it.
From that hole, a thin white thread shot out and, following Alpha’s commands, rushed towards the Baron’s dead body.
After it drilled into him, the thread disappeared as if it had been erased from existence—signaling that the connection between the two of them had been established.
At first, nothing happened. But only a few seconds later, Alpha sensed her connection with the corpse and, through it, passed her instructions.
Seated on the side, Liora was observing every single one of Alpha’s movements.
Thus, she witnessed the thread coming out of her body, as well as the process of Baron Bloodshield turning into a puppet.
A second later, under her eyes, the dead Baron slowly rose to his feet.
His movements were stiff and awkward, lacking any sense of balance and elegance. If he were an ordinary person, he would have long fallen down and sprawled to the ground.
Yet, as if a batch of invisible threads were keeping him standing, the Baron remained upright.
"It actually works!
