??Chapter 592: Chapter 590 Hope like a Dream

Chapter 592: Chapter 590 Hope like a Dream

“Agreed,” Russell did not refuse Fred’s offer.

He sheltered Fred and his people, and naturally, they owed him a demonstration of their fealty, in accordance with the laws of Dragon Sleep Continent, “At that ti, I will grant you a Bipedal Flying Dragon and a Warm Enclave to help you establish a new family.”

They discussed the trade for a while.

Fred had no more reservations about joining the Shadowfla Duchy.

At this mont, Fred suddenly opened the small box he carried with him, held it out with both hands, and solemnly handed it over to Russell, “Sir, thank you for coming to pay your respects at the first opportunity. On behalf of the ltingfire Dragon Blood Family, I present this to you.”

“What is this?” Russell took the box with so confusion.

Fred said, “This is the hope left behind by the ltdown Dragon. It is now pointless for it to remain in the hands of the ltingfire Dragon Blood Family. To you, Sir, perhaps it can guide you to a new pinnacle on the Way of the Knight.”

“The hope of the ltdown Dragon!” Russell’s eyes widened.

He had never seen the hope treasured by the dragons, dating back to ancient tis, and furthermore, the Shadowfla Dragon had just been deprived of this very hope.

In an instant, the box felt as heavy as mountains.

Nevertheless, Russell calmly accepted it, as Fred had said, it was pointless for the ltingfire Family to hold onto the hope of the ltdown Dragon.

“This offering is too precious,” Russell resisted the urge to open it imdiately.

Fred shook his head, “The ltdown Dragon has fallen in battle… Its hope remaining is aningless, let alone whether it’s considered precious or not.”

Having said this, he sighed deeply and his spirits visibly dampened, “Your Grace the Grand Duke, I will take my leave now.”

Once Fred had left.

Russell took a deep breath, called for Polly, and then carefully opened the box made of a special tal. The box itself was an Array, with special Magic Power patterns etched upon it.

As he lifted the lid of the box, bright light imdiately burst forth from inside.

Once the light dimd, Russell could finally see what was inside. It was a substance that seed like air yet was akin to a ball of water – transparent and clear, constantly changing shape, and speckled with tiny points of light.

Like the glimring ripples on a water surface.

“Very peculiar!” Russell reached out a finger to touch this “hope,” but he couldn’t feel anything – his finger simply passed through the “hope,” which continued to ripple like water without any disturbance from his touch.

However.

When Russell poured the “hope” into his hand, even though there was no sense of touch, the “hope” didn’t fall through his palm to the ground.

Instead, it floated in his hand like an irregular water balloon, rippling back and forth.

“Is this the hope that dragons treasure as preciously as life itself… the hope that dates back to ancient tis?” Russell couldn’t comprehend its existence.

Polly couldn’t understand it either, “It seems like it’s not a material substance; it’s like so kind of… energy body, no, not even like an energy body, it seems more like so kind of… spirit body, a kind of existence like spirit or soul.”

Russell shook his head, “It’s baffling; I can’t feel its presence at all, I can only see it, but I can’t touch it.”

This “hope” was like a dream.

As though experienced, yet as if never truly felt, whether Russell held it in his hand or placed it back in the box, he never actually touched it. It did not react with anything at all, a complete “insulator.”

“Polly, it seems we can’t solve this mystery… But then, it’s no wonder, given the imnse power of the dragons and even the assistance of an entire country behind the Dragon Knights, if they can’t decipher its secrets, let alone the two of us.”

“Let’s offer it to Shadowfla,” Polly suggested, “and perhaps we should exchange it with the Scorching Torrent Kingdom to retrieve Shadowfla’s hope.”

“Indeed feasible, but first we should let Shadowfla experience it,” Russell said, as he moved to close the tal box.

But at that mont,

the M-shaped mark in the palm of his left hand suddenly burst into flas, and the “hope” within the box lightly fell into Russell’s palm, rging with the M-shaped mark and transforming into a half-human-high fla.

“Ah!” Polly exclaid!

She couldn’t see the M-shaped mark, but she could witness the mont “hope” blood into fla, flickering not in red but in magnificent, multicolored hues, each containing endless mysteries.

It was too much for her eyes to take in.

But it was Russell who felt it most profoundly.

The mont the fla rose, his thoughts seed to be pulled into the brilliant colors, and then he “saw” a scene beyond description.

It was an ocean, a resplendent forest ocean, where each tree was abstract, abstract in shapes, and abstract in heights; most abstract was their kaleidoscope of colors, as chaotic as a child’s scribbles.

And constantly changing.

Suddenly, a dragon flew over the forest, as abstract and as colorfully shifting as the forest below.

The dragon flew closer and closer until it was right before Russell.

Seemly having noticed him, it turned its head and fiercely spat out a breath of Dragon Fla at Russell, the fla too was an abstract mix of many colors.

Boom!

Engulfed by the Dragon Fla, Russell instantaneously snapped back to reality, the scenes before his eyes had dispersed, the fla of “hope” returned to a single mass, and the fiery M-shaped mark dissipated into flecks of sparks.

“Russell, what happened?” Polly asked in their shared mind.

“Did you see it, the vision just now? That forest of many colors, and that multicolored dragon!”

“No, I just saw hope turn into a bundle of fla, and the colors of the fla were very dazzling, profound. I saw nothing else.” Polly replied, clearly, the vision was visible only to Russell.

He placed the “hope” back into the box and closed the lid.

He exhaled a tainted breath and said, “It must have been Ice Cream, aiding

to peer into the mysteries harbored within this hope, but Ice Cream hasn’t truly awakened, and I cannot communicate deeply with it. rely a glimpse is not sufficient to understand the aning of hope.”

The abstract forest, the abstract dragon… what did they represent? He and Polly discussed for a long ti but could not conclude their aning.

Eventually.

Polly sumd up, “Russell, let’s not puzzle over this anymore. If Ice Cream could trigger this hope, maybe it will return to the ancient past… or maybe Ice Cream itself is a more powerful dragon and has already returned to the ancient tis.”

“Yes, Ice Cream is extraordinary!” Russell nodded, not dwelling any further, “Let’s continue to comprehend this extinct volcano instead.”

The hope of returning to the ancient past, a mystery that dragons need to realize.

He and Polly are just Phantom Dragon Knights; at this stage, the most crucial thing is to grasp the Dragon Fla Power and solve the mystery of the volcano.

Perhaps by solving this riddle, he and Polly could advance even further.

For seven days straight, Russell resided within the ltdown Volcano, but he was not unaware of the outside world; Fred ca every day to report the affairs of Changting and the information transmitted from Thunder Sound Station.

Several countries had already installed Thunder Sound Stations.

They had joined the “Thunder Sound Chat Group,” communicating where necessary to collectively face the imminent crisis of Frost Star’s descent.

“Your Grace the Grand Duke, the magic construction of the Demon-Hunting Tower has already comnced, but the enthusiasm for building it is not high at this stage due to unrest among our people,” Fred reported during his visit to the volcano, “Moreover, the nobles willing to migrate with

to Shadowfla Duchy are few.”

“The matter of migration is entirely voluntary; just try to take as many commoners as possible,” Russell instructed.
