Chapter 542: Chapter 540: Speak of Cao Cao and Cao Cao Arrives

l and Annie Helichrysum’s engagent party wasn’t particularly grand, mainly involving just family and close friends.

However, King Ares made a dramatic entrance riding a Fiery Dragon that billowed black smoke into Sumr Chrysanthemum Fortress, elevating the celebration to a whole new level of glory.

Of course,

everyone in the Helichrysum family knew very well that King Ares ca for Lord Russell’s sake. Otherwise, the engagent of a re Earl’s daughter wouldn’t have warranted a king’s presence—perhaps a wedding might have barely qualified.

After the engagent party ended,

Russell and l planned to set off in a couple of days, this ti not just with a small group of knights.

Earl Ade Riyang and his spouse, along with many relatives from the Helichrysum family, were all going to head to Shadowfla Grand Duchy to attend l and Annie’s wedding. After the wedding, Annie would officially beco part of the Rainflower Family.

Ti flew by, and the day of departure arrived.

“Quick, load the gifts onto the carriage!”

“Check the goods in the carriage to ensure nothing is missed.”

“Rember to fill the ladies’ carriage with fine black charcoal, and check the Magic Power rich gemstone sets to keep warm!”

“Philip, be careful! You’re always so clumsy!”

“Lia, the lady is calling for you, the embroidery on her favorite dress has a loose thread around the neckline; it needs nding.”

Early in the morning, everyone at Sumr Chrysanthemum Fortress was busy preparing.

Lord Russell also woke up early but found himself with nothing to do, so he simply rode the Pseudo-Nightmare Beast Dragon Senbula around the Phantom Beast Grassland. Walking was just a facade; he was actually tuning their minds to achieve perfect synchrony as soon as possible.

At eight o’clock in the morning,

the caravan was finally ready, and with a roar from Ade Family’s Bipedal Flying Dragons, they slowly set off.

Earl Ade Riyang, riding a Bipedal Flying Dragon, led the way in the sky.

Russell continued to ride Senbula, with his cousin l, who was in high spirits, at his side, followed by Willem Ginnari.

“I hope the journey back is as smooth as the trip here,” l said, looking back at Sumr Chrysanthemum Fortress wistfully. “Russell, I am about to leave bachelorhood behind.”

“Other than congratulations, I have nothing to say,” Russell yawned.

l, imrsed in love, kept talking about getting married and unwinding in front of Annie.

“Look Willem, all of us are married now, it’s just you left,” l remarked.

Russell rolled his eyes, “Willem, do you have a partner arranged for marriage yet?”

Willem, riding a “Mock-Kinari Dragon,” stepped forward and said in a deep voice, “Master, I still don’t have a marital match. After I revitalize my family, perhaps a noble lady will fancy .”

His eyes sparkled with aspirations as he calmly and eagerly spoke about his own marital hopes.

At only seventeen, he was already dreaming of marriage and children.

l laughed, “See, Willem has plans for his life while you just drift through yours aimlessly.”

“Ha, once I ride a Dragon Knight, the ladies of the world will wave at !” Russell patted Senbula’s neck and quickly moved to the front of the line, its fiery fur billowing in the wind as if it was about to take flight.

The carriage traveled very slowly, making the return journey even longer.

Russell mostly stopped and went, using the ti to practice with Senbula, perfecting their Fighting Spirit Armor and Beast Fusion Shadow.

Unnoticed,

the caravan passed through the Cat’s Eye Erald into the vast Snowfield, as the Warm Season had persisted for over a month, and the Ice and Snow Great Wall was reopened. rchant caravans traveled back and forth on this major trade route between the two nations, occasionally eting at Cold Spring Point.

They smoothly passed out of the Scorching Torrent Kingdom into a segnt of the trade route that had no influence from the Dragon’s power.

“We’re nearly back to your ho, Senbula,” Russell said.

“Rush.”

Senbula’s ho was the Black Horse Snow Forest. Of course, it was his old ho; he would soon move to his new ho—Cigar Castle.

Stopping and waiting for l to fly over on the Iron Winged Grey Crane, Russell said, “This area has lost the protection of the dragon’s power. I will go ahead to clear the path and maintain so distance from you all; you must be cautious on your own.”

“You’re the one who needs to be cautious. We only have Earl Ade, a Dragon Knight here, worth Shuang Da’s ambush,” l replied. “But you are different; you are a future Dragon Knight; Shuang Da would keep an eye on you for an ambush.”

“Ha-ha, I look forward to its ambush!” Russell laughed confidently and then waved his hand, “Let’s go!”

Senbula galloped off like a streak of black lightning on the Ice and Snow Great Wall.

He hadn’t gone far, and the caravan could still see his figure when suddenly, the Ice and Snow Great Wall seed to shatter.

A gigantic frost-white palm erged from the broken ice debris and reached to grab Russell and Senbula.

“Damn!”

Russell cursed aloud, “Speak of the devil, and he appears; I knew it, Shuang Da has been eyeing

all this ti!”

In the next mont, he communicated telepathically with Senbula: “Return ho, use Quiet Dream to go back to your old ho!”

In a flash, Senbula vanished into thin air.

The frost-white hand did not pause. It directly enveloped Russell and then clenched fiercely, attempting to crush him completely.

Following the hand, a massive body erged from the ice, forming the huge figure of the Snow Giant.

“Ah!”

The caravan, not far behind, quickly pulled to a halt, and the won scread. They saw the image of Russell being grasped by the Snow Giant’s hand.

l was also startled and then roared furiously, “Russell!”

“Go back, go back!” Earl Ade, riding a Bipedal Flying Dragon, dive-bombed down, “Everyone, turn around imdiately!”

“Russell is still ahead!” l yelled.

Earl Ade glanced at the Snow Giant crawling out of the ice and the fist it clenched. He said coldly, “I’m sorry, but there is nothing we can do. l, go back and escort the caravan!”

“No!” l clenched his teeth tightly, “It was I who asked Russell to co with !”

Just as Earl Ade was about to rebuke, suddenly a knight cheered, “Lord Russell has escaped!”

The Snow Giant opened its fist, but there were no remains of Russell.

Instead, atop the Snow Giant’s head, the figure of Russell suddenly appeared, and he had entered the full Wind Thunder Form.

Both his hands tightly gripped a three-ter long silver greatsword.

The power of wind and thunder burst forth from the blade, striking at the Snow Giant with a crackling, thunderous assault, going all out, enveloping the Snow Giant’s face.

However, the Snow Giant wasn’t overwheld by the full-on attack; instead, it raised its fists and clashed with Russell’s greatsword!

The sky began to darken, and a sudden snowstorm blew in.

This was the Frost Giant behind the Snow Giant altering the weather; the magical power in the air was in chaos, and the Bipedal Flying Dragons could no longer fly high.

“Let’s go! Retreat quickly!” Earl Ade shouted.

l clenched his fist, laughed, and said, “I knew you could do it, Russell! If you can slay the Frost Giant Ge, how could you be easily ambushed and killed by the Snow Giant!”

Then, riding the Iron Winged Grey Crane, he quickly escorted the caravan away from the battlefield.

The snowstorm grew fiercer, and visibility on the battlefield blurred, but as the knights looked back, they could still see endless bursts of lightning and wind.

“Lord Russell is so powerful!”

“Facing the Snow Giant alone, only a Dragon Knight can accomplish this!”

“Today we truly see Lord Russell’s power!”

The knights from the Ade Family marveled, while l’s accompanying knights shared in the glory: “Lord Russell is indeed a Dragon Knight!”
