"Yeah, it’s . Looks like you’re doing quite well with your task."
Wu Han used his eye as a dium to observe the surroundings, and it seed the Erald Cloud Eagle had done its job properly. It had even used the spare ti to strengthen itself.
As expected of his subject.
"Thank you for the complint, Master. What matter brings you to today?" Theron was linked to him at a certain level. He had gained part of Wu Han’s intellect and understood his personality. Without a reason, his master would never contact him.
"I have soone I want you to hunt," Wu Han said, using the imperial contract as a dium to send the target’s identifying traits to Theron.
With that, he activated part of the bond within Theron and cast a spell through him.
5th level spell: Scrying, modified.
Normally, the spell could search the entire world for the target’s location, but since his output was limited by the vessel, the range was now around five hundred kiloters, which was more than enough once the result returned to him.
’There you are.’ Since her departure was recent, she was resting at a relay station about two hundred kiloters from the city. ’Kill her!’
"Yes, my master." Theron spread his wings, accelerated, and shot into the sky like a pillar of light.
The clouds parted into a spiraling wake as a ray of light tore past the mountains in an instant.
With a near limitless supply of qi from his master’s runes, combined with the dense wind energy high in the sky, up here he was king.

In a quiet bamboo forest, the old woman, Luo Mianyu, sipped tea from her flask while she waited for the carriage to continue its journey.
"That old fox Luo Phen. We’ve been at odds for a long ti, but I’m not stupid. Can’t he trust a little more? We’ve known each other for a hundred years." She took another bitter sip. Thinking about him only made her angrier.
"I know when soone steps out of line. Luo Chen no longer puts the clan first and is ready to throw everything away for his daughter. If he’s willing to go that far, why not befriend Wu Han too?" She sighed.

After arguing with the faction opposing Luo Chen’s leadership, she finally understood how she had managed to hold on for so long while he focused almost entirely on his daughter, leaving her to face two enemies in court.
One of them was just a pawn. Luo Fai was nothing more than a foolish woman, lucky only because her father had been an elder before her.
The only one calling the shots was Luo Phen. As the saying went, two tigers could not share the sa cave. She chose to step away and handed her position to Luo Bo, another pawn Luo Phen had picked for himself.

"The horses are ready, Miss Mianyu," the driver said politely.
"At the very least, I hope he’s smart enough to favor Wu Han. Having the Miracle Doctor’s disciple in our sect could raise us from rely the top town in the city to finally gaining recognition in the region." Luo Mianyu closed the lid of her flask and climbed back into the carriage.

"At least I get a free vacation. I heard they have good spas, don’t they?" she asked the driver. The town she was heading to was Evernight Mist City, one of the best travel destinations, controlled by a group of unorthodox cultivators.

"Yes, Madam, but I heard there has been so activity from demonic cultivators around the area, so please be careful," the driver said with concern.
"Ha! Did you forget? Even at my age, I’m still a ninth-stage Qi Condensation cultivator. I’ve kicked more asses than the number of horses you’ve ridden, boy."
The reason she had taken an elder seat in the first place, and later beca the head of education overseeing the training facilities and the technique library, was her martial knowledge and skill, sothing even Luo Chen had to respect.

"Go!" The driver snapped the reins, urging the carriage forward, while Luo Mianyu breathed in the fresh air and enjoyed the view.

But the horses began to act strangely. Instead of moving straight ahead, two of them turned erratic and pulled in different directions. They scread and bolted, spinning the carriage before the whole thing overturned.

"What happened?!" Luo Mianyu leaned out of the carriage and shouted. Then a boom cracked across the sky, like thunder striking in broad daylight.
She looked up. The heavens burned with erald light as a massive shadow descended toward her.
Erald Tornado Dive!
BOOM!!
Wind scread as it struck the earth.
Trees snapped like twigs and were ripped from the ground. Soil and stone blasted upward in a rising ring.
The carriage shattered at once, torn apart before the sound even finished forming.
The shockwave carved a crater into the forest floor while spirals of green light pierced the sky and burst outward in a violent bloom.
Luo Mianyu reacted on instinct.
Her qi erupted from her body, forming layer after layer of protection.
It broke.
Blood sprayed from her mouth. Her ears rang.
She felt her bones rattle inside her sleeves as she tumbled across the ruined ground.
"Erald Cloud Eagle?!" She stared upward in disbelief. A beast of this level usually hunted in territories filled with spirit creatures.
Why was one here?
And why was it so strong? She had fought one before inside an illusion beast array, but it had been ten tis weaker than the monster in front of her.
Theron did not answer. His target was still alive.
Light gathered around his talons. Then he beca a blur.
He swept past Luo Mianyu in a blink, faster than her mind could catch up.
"Im...possi...ble..."
His massive talon pierced her chest. She died instantly, her heart crushed.
’Target eliminated.’
He took the corpse with him.
And before anyone could find out what had happened, the eagle had already ascended back into the sky and vanished into the sea of clouds.
