Tang Moyu felt disgusted as she stared back at the old man. How could she not know? It was the look of a man pining after a woman who couldn't return his affection. She'd seen enough n sporting the sa look in the past. But to think that Zhang Xianzhe had extended a hand to kill the woman he seed to love surprised the empress.

"Forget it. I don't want to know," she scoffed, ignoring the old man seated on the other side of the glass wall in front of her. How cheap was his love for Yan Qiuyu? If he truly loved her, he would have done his best not only to save her from death but also protected her.

Was it because he was upset that Yan Qiuyu couldn't love him back? The empress wondered but decided that it didn't matter anymore. Yan Qiuyu had long been dead. The old man's crooked infatuation was sothing she didn't care to delve in further.

"How long have you known?" Zhang Xianzhe asked the younger Tang. He'd never thought that the person he took in and raised as his own would be the one who would cause his family's demise.

When he first found out about her, he'd been curious as to what kind of woman Yan Qiuyu was for Tang Lixue to vehently refuse his engagent with his sister. It was only after he t the woman in person did he understand why Tang Lixue was willing to turn his back to his family for her sake.

"Long enough for to et my real father," Zhang Jiren replied, paying attention to the old man's words and expressions. After years of living under the sa roof with Zhang Xianzhe, how could he not know what the latter was thinking at the mont?

"Hah… Are you expecting that I would have sympathy with you because you are worried that you wouldn't be able to convince the shareholders and investors to stay with the company?" Zhang Jiren looked at the old man with contempt.

That imdiately made Zhang Xianzhe shut his mouth in an instant. Since in legal papers, he took Tang Lingjun as his son, the company would eventually fall in Zhang Jiren's hands if his other sons failed to secure their positions in the company.

Zhang Xianzhe was not only the head of the Zhang family, but he was also the pillar of the Zhang Corps. As this rate, he wouldn't be able to clear his na as Elder Tang's accomplice in the murder of Yan Qiuyu. Feng Tianyi and Zhang Jiren expected that the Zhang Corps would crumble on its own in due ti.

"But I want to know sothing. This has been bugging since I heard the police reports. If I am Tang Lixue and Yan Qiuyu's youngest twin, just who was the dead kid you left with our mother?" Zhang Jiren asked.

Did Zhang Xianzhe purposely deceive Tang Lixue to think that he'd truly lost not only Yan Qiuyu but also his son to drive him insane?

That also piqued Tang Moyu's curiosity. If Yan Qiuyu wasn't found with a dead child with her, Tang Lixue would never have assud that Tang Lingjun was still alive sowhere. Their father would have done his best to find his son. The death of his beloved had left a detrintal trauma on him.

"It's not that hard to find a dead child sowhere, especially if his mother didn't care about him."

It was hard for Zhang Xianzhe to find another child's body to replace Tang Lingjun. If Elder Tang knew that he saved Yan Qiuyu's son, he was sure that the old man would kill his grandson to make sure that the ties between the two families wouldn't be severed by Tang Lingjun's existence.

What they hadn't expected was that the older twin was more dangerous and capable than the younger twin, if they had known that Tang Moyu would pose a threat to the Tang family, Zhang Xianzhe wouldn't be surprised if Elder Tang also deed her as an obstacle to his plans.

Tang Moyu didn't want to waste ti here anymore. She had dreaded to et the old man, the person who not only betrayed her father but also ruined her and her brother's lives.

"That's enough." She wasn't surprised to hear that Zhang Xianzhe was willing to use another child to cover his tracks. It only made him look more despicable and vile in her eyes. At least, the Zhang family was being consistent with their nasty attitude.

Zhang Jiren agreed with her. No matter what Zhang Xianzhe said now, it wouldn't matter as he and his twin sister would make sure that the Zhang family wouldn't be able to recover from this. As long as they could keep the Old Man Zhang behind bars, Zhang Corps' stocks would continue to plumt until it reached its bankruptcy.

"Are you sure about this?" Zhang Jiren stopped his sister, knowing what she was feeling about their eting with Elder Tang.

"What is to worry about? We are his grandchildren, after all. Shouldn't we pay him a visit?"

With the investigation ongoing, they expected that Zhang Xianzhe would face a life imprisonnt as his sentence if he was able to avoid the capital punishnt. The sa couldn't be said to Elder Tang. The murder that happened over thirty years ago earned a massive public disturbance.

"It's madness. He's a murderer! How could he kill the mother of his grandchildren?"

"Tang Moyu must be disappointed right now. Her own grandpa killed the woman who gave birth to her."

"Would that an Zhang Wuying was the other woman who got between her husband and his lover?"

"What do you think? The world of the rich people is more complicated than what we think."

Several rumors and baseless stories about the empress and Zhang Wuying flooded the internet, which were easily suppressed by Feng Tianyi using his influence. It was enough that people knew that his wife wasn't blood related to that crazy old woman.
