"Your brother and I already made so preparations, Moyu. So don't worry anymore and let us handle this problem this ti," Feng Tianyi assured her. The last thing he wanted was for his wife to get stressed over the Zhang family and her grandfather.

Tang Moyu remained silent and Feng Tianyi felt it would have been better for him if she showed other reactions aside from this. It was hard for him to know what Tang Moyu was thinking at the mont.

Tang Moyu could already assu what her brother and her husband were up to. She wouldn't be surprised if Feng Tianyi was helping her twin brother get even with the Zhangs. There were rumors circulating around, saying that Zhang Wuying had lost her mind ever since Tang Beixuan's death two years ago, but Tang Moyu didn't dare believe it unless she'd seen that old woman with her own eyes.

"Leave my grandfather to ," she told her husband. "Since he was the one who ruined our lives with his own hands, Jiren and I deserve to know the details from his own mouth."

Feng Tianyi agreed easily to her request. To be honest, he was treading carefully against Elder Tang since he didn't know the old man personally. Initially, he was planning to leave him to Zhang Jiren later when his brother-in-law recovered from his surgery.

The unusual silence of Tang Moyu persisted until the next day. When she ca back to visit her brother at the hospital, she was told that Zhang Jiren had been moved to the private ward for his recovery. She found her brother holding Leyan on his l.a.p carefully while the little girl patted his face with both hands.

"Leyan, look who's here." Li ili took her daughter from her husband and balanced the girl in her arms. The girl cried, annoyed as she was taken away from her father. "It's your Auntie Moyu."

Little Leyan lifted her head and reached out her arms once she spotted her aunt, wanting to take Tang Moyu's attention.

Tang Moyu put down her purse and took her niece from her best friend. Leyan giggled and grinned widely at her, making her forget the sadness she had in her heart after finding out the truth about Yan Qiuyu's death.

"You are growing fast, huh, Leyan." Tang Moyu gently poked her niece's nose. Leyan's face reminded her so much of Beixuan's and she couldn't help but miss her brother.

Li ili sighed and took a seat next to her husband's hospital bed. Now that he was out of danger, the only thing that worried her was his upcoming radiation therapy. It might save his life and treat his illness but she knew that it would still have side effects.

"She loves to eat, Moyu. I have no doubt I wouldn't be able to lift her up soon." She laughed at her daughter's innocent facade as Leyan smiled at what her aunt said. "Don't let her deceive you. Leyan knows how to make you feed her."

"Isn't that because Jiren spoiled her?" Tang Moyu raised a slender brow at her brother. Stern and cold Zhang Jiren might be, but when it ca to Little Leyan, he would never say no to her.

"Why is it my fault now? If Leyan wants to eat, let her eat. Young children like her shouldn't know what hunger ans," Zhang Jiren said in defense. He g.r.o.a.n.e.d a little as he adjusted on the bed.

Who cared if people thought he was spoiling his daughter? Can't they see how lovable their Leyan was? Even if he wanted to ignore her, Zhang Jiren knew it was impossible. How could he say no to her when his daughter pointed at sothing she wanted to eat?

"Right. Right. Leyan is the real boss in our ho." Li ili laughed behind her hand. It's really amusing to see how her daughter easily won the hearts of those who were close to them.

Her daughter also behaved whenever she was with Tang Moyu. Perhaps it was because Tang Beixuan adored his sister so much that their daughter felt at ease whenever she was held by the empress. Zhang Jiren, being Tang Moyu's twin brother, who resembled her a little might also be the reason why the girl liked him so much.

Tang Moyu spent an hour or two with her niece before Leyan left with Li ili to go ho, giving her the privacy she needed with her twin brother. Once the two left, she took the seat her best friend vacated and remained silent.

"Feng Tianyi told you. Am I right?" Zhang Jiren asked. It pained him to see his sister like this. The sadness in her eyes was the sa thing she had in the past before she left the country with Li ili.

"You've seen it too, right?" she asked back.

Zhang Jiren nodded but he didn't care about their grandfather. The only thing he wanted right now was to put the old man in jail for forcefully separating him from his family. How dare that old man subject him and his twin sister to such ntal anguish?

How could that old man pretend everything was alright, watching as his son wilted with every day passed, and seeing his granddaughter being wronged by his daughter-in-law? Was the money and influence the Tang family could get from the Zhang family more important than his kin?

"I don't bla you for feeling betrayed, Moyu Jie, but Elder Tang is nothing to ," Zhang Jiren said with all honesty.

Tang Moyu chuckled and smiled weakly. If only she could say the sa thing about their paternal grandfather.

"That old man always has a gentle smile on his face, always talking to as if he knew better. How could he bear to look at our father as he slowly broke right in front of him? How could he call himself a father, a parent if he was the one who killed his own kin?"
