Tang Moyu took this chance to dash forward, giving him a hard punch to his gut before disarming him. She kicked the gun away from him, making sure he wouldn't be able to retrieve it unless he beat her in a hand-to-hand combat.

"What? Loss for words now? Did you just underestimate , Zhu Ziqian?" she asked with a voice dripping with sarcasm. She had enough of this nonsense already. If Zhu Ziqian thought he could manipulate them by threatening their lives, then he was deluding himself.

"You dared to humiliate my husband in front of ? Do you not feel any sha at all? Compared to my husband, you are worse! Your wife must be rolling in her grave right now, ready to deny her affinity with you!"

Feng Tianyi wasn't even sure how she managed to disarm Zhu Ziqian this fast, but he should have known better that his wife would never yield easily to anyone. But to think that she would go to this extent to protect him…

"If you want to die so badly then go to hell on your own." Tang Moyu was obviously annoyed; the previous tension and nervousness she was feeling had already dissipated.

Now, her blood boiled with rage as she rembered her brother's final monts with Feng Tianyi and Zhang Jiren. She didn't even get a chance to talk to him one last ti.

As if it wasn't enough, she gave Zhu Ziqian another kick on the stomach. This sc.u.m not only dared to try to hurt her husband through her, but also led her younger brother to his death. How could she let this man do as he wished?

While Zhu Ziqian writhed in pain on the ground, Tang Moyu appeared above him and stepped on his wound. She tried to contain the anger in her heart but the more she thought about the pain her brother suffered, and how Feng Tianyi repeatedly blad himself without saying a word the more she gave in to her emotions.

Just who did he think he was?!

"Moyu!" Feng Tianyi knew that she wasn't her usual self. Had his wife sohow lost her cool and finally released all her pent-up anger?

Feng Tianyi was confused and worried seeing her like this. Tang Moyu looked different. His wife that had always kept her calm and collected persona was now acting more like the devil than him, the actual devil.

"Do you think I will allow you to die easily? No way! Death is the easiest way to avoid taking responsibility for all the cris you have done. Do you think I will allow you to join your loved ones in the afterlife after what you did?" She stepped on Zhu Ziqian's injury making him scream from intense pain.

"Do you think you are the only one who was suffering? Do you think my husband didn't suffer as well after the accident? When you hurt people, have you ever considered that they would lose their lives— robbing them of a future with their loved ones?" Tang Moyu continued to rant. "Just because you see a person smiling doesn't an he isn't in pain!"

She knew that with how much Zhu Ziqian's mind had already been twisted he might or might not understand her words, but it didn't matter. She just wanted to vent. For her, many people had already been dragged into this so-called revenge and it had to stop.

"You want to die to escape this life and follow your loved ones? You aren't worth it!"

By this ti, the authorities had co inside after hearing the gunshots earlier. They were shocked to find the man they have been tracking all this ti being pinned down by Tang Moyu's foot on the ground.

Feng Tianyi took this chance to go to his wife, taking the gun away from her hand, and pulled her aside to allow the police to apprehend Zhu Ziqian. Tang Moyu tried to break free from her husband's hold but with Feng Tianyi's larger and taller body, her struggle was futile.

"Baby, it's alright. It's alright. Please calm down." Feng Tianyi tried to hush his wife, hoping she would co back to her senses.

It took so ti for Tang Moyu to realize what was happening. She then saw Zhu Ziqian being dragged away by the police. She didn't even notice that tears ran down her face as she trembled from the rage that coursed through her body.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I should be the one who should protect you, but you ended up saving once again." Feng Tianyi couldn't help but feel useless. He was the man— her husband but repeatedly, Tang Moyu was the one who always managed to clean up the ss he started.

He hated himself even more. If only he was strong enough, brave enough to stop Zhu Zhiqian himself, Tang Moyu wouldn't have to lose her younger brother. Now, she even risked her life to defend his honor.

"It's my fault. It's my fault. I'll make it up to you, Moyu."

He had once promised to protect her in the future, but he kept on failing her each ti. He didn't have any pride to face her right now.? As he held her in his arms, Feng Tianyi wondered if he could ever return the favors Tang Moyu had done for him.

Since the problem with Zhu Ziqian had been resolved, the only thing he could do to repay her kindness was to find the truth about her mother's death. Feng Tianyi swore in his heart that he wouldn't fail her this ti, even if it ant that he had to use all the resources he had.

When they left the area and followed the police, they filed an official case against Zhu Ziqian, who was gravely injured by Tang Moyu. Through it all, the empress remained silent, leaving Feng Tianyi to make decisions for the two of them.

Once done, they went to the hospital where the old nurse and Cheng Ning were brought after being saved from Zhu Ziqian. Cheng Ning was relieved to see that the couple were safe and wondered what had happened after they left.

Even after their visit, Tang Moyu kept her silence as she held his hand. At least, she wasn't rejecting him as Feng Tianyi thought she would do.
