When the clock hit eight in the evening, Tang Moyu and Feng Tianyi had already arrived at the location where Zhu Ziqian said they should et. Since Feng Tianyi didn't trust Zhu Ziqian one bit, he sought the police's help to secure the area that would forbid the man on taking away Tang Moyu once she successfully switched places with the two won.
Feng Tianyi waited in apprehension for Zhu Ziqian to show up while Tang Moyu calmly waited, clearing her mind from fear and doubt that might cloud her judgent later. She was still dressed in her business attire and didn't bother to change, while Feng Tianyi wore a full coat over his black business suit, standing next to her.
She planned to fulfill the promise she made with Feng Tianyi. If Zhu Ziqian wanted to kill her so badly to hurt her husband, then she needed to do sothing to change her fate.
The place where Zhu Ziqian asked to et was an abandoned building that was yet to be demolished by the new owner of the property to build a new shopping mall within the area. The couple weren't shocked to find that the man was able to hide this long from the authorities given how he managed to stay low key for the past years, waiting for Feng Tianyi's return.
"Moyu, don't forget your promise," Feng Tianyi whispered to his wife.
"I promised to spend the rest of my life with you, didn't I?" she replied.
"And you still owe our third child." He didn't forget to remind her.
Tang Moyu smiled, knowing that he was trying to lessen the pressure on her shoulders.
"Let's talk about it once this is over."
"Then I'll hold you to your word."
It didn't take long before they heard footsteps coming their way. When they turned to see who it was, they saw Cheng Ning and the old woman tied on their wrist with thick ropes and were being dragged by the man they'd been hunting for months now.
"I see you couldn't stop yourself coming here with your wife," Zhu Ziqian said as if he was also expecting to see Feng Tianyi today.
"I'm here, so please release them at once," Tang Moyu demanded and Zhu Ziqian pushed the two won in front of him.
Cheng Ning's eyes shimred with tears as soon as she saw her boss and Feng Tianyi, while the old woman was in daze, clearly too exhausted to know what was going on as the days of captivity had affected her senses.
"Not so fast, Madam Feng." Zhu Ziqian grinned at her. '"Don't dare to make any move or I'll make sure to blow their heads," he warned, pressing the end of his gun against Cheng Ning's skull.
"Miss Moyu…" Cheng Ning cried helplessly while Tang Moyu felt guilt seeing her assistant like this. She would understand if Cheng Ning would resign from her post after facing such danger because of her.
"Now, co here Madam Feng and I will allow these two to go to your husband. Don't you think we have a lot of things to talk about, right?"
Feng Tianyi's hold onto his wife's hand tightened for a mont before he begrudgingly released her to allow her to switch with the other won.
Tang Moyu gave him a nod before taking steps forward, her eyes watching Zhu Ziqian intently.
Cheng Ning helped the old woman and took the steps forward. She gave Tang Moyu a guilty look and allowed more tears to roll down her cheeks. Tang Moyu wouldn't choose to surrender herself like this if only she'd been more careful. She didn't think she would be able to face Tang Moyu and Feng Tianyi after this.
The empress was aware of the looks her assistant was giving her, but she and Feng Tianyi agreed that their safety was their priority over hers, much to her husband's discontent.
Once the three won passed each other, Cheng Ning looked back to her boss, but Tang Moyu remained focused on the man in front of her. Once she stood at least six feet away from Zhu Ziqian, the two won finally reached Feng Tianyi's side.
The mont Cheng Ning reached his side, Feng Tianyi whispered to her in a low voice to get out of the place with the old woman as soon as possible. Although he agreed to his wife to switch positions with them, he didn't agree to leave with them, abandoning her.
When Zhu Ziqian was montaril distracted, seeing the two won run for their lives, Tang Moyu and Feng Tianyi pulled their guns out at the sa ti and aid at him.
"Zhu Ziqian! I will not allow you to take my wife away! This ends here!" Feng Tianyi yelled.
When Zhu Ziqian realized his mistake, he burst into laughter but kept his gun aid at Tang Moyu's head. Seeing Feng Tianyi's troubled expression brought him imnse satisfaction.
"Ah! For once, we finally agreed on sothing! You are right, Feng Tianyi. Let's end it here," he replied with a sadistic smile on his face. "But let tell you—? you better not miss your aim,? because whether you like it or not, Tang Moyu will die here."
Feng Tianyi's jaws hardened then glanced at his wife. He was the one who gave her the gun she's holding. But he wasn't sure how good her aim was, considering he had only seen her doing brawls before.
Tang Moyu was the one who insisted they bring guns today for their own safety, but he'd never thought that she was able to predict what would happen the mont she exchanged with Cheng Ning and the old woman.
Zhu Ziqian wanted Moyu dead so his focus was on her. He didn't care about hurting Tianyi. He didn't mind being killed by him afterwards too. All he wanted was for Feng Tianyi to live the rest of his life being tornted by his failure to save his wife.
"I wonder who's faster at pulling the trigger between the three of us. I don't mind dying but I'll make sure to bring you to hell with , Madam Feng," he told Tang Moyu.
