Tang Moyu wanted nothing but to bla herself right then, but she knew what her husband said earlier was right. They cannot waste their whole life blaming themselves for sothing they couldn't change anymore.

But, it still pained her to think that her twin brother had committed such a mistake because of her. How could she overlook that part, and not bla herself? Tang Moyu found it hard to convince herself that she was alright. How could she be alright, knowing that her brother hurt other people because of her? Whether she knew him then or not, Zhang Jiren had done the deed because of her.

Based on Zhang Jiren's personality, it wasn't hard for her not to understand that this was the real reason why he wanted to keep his distance from her, not daring to reveal his identity as her twin brother even when she ca back here in Shenzhen two years ago.

Just like what she had told her husband months ago, she didn't want anyone to commit a cri or mistake just because of her. That was why, although Feng Tianyi was reluctant, they sought the authorities' help to track Zhu Ziqian instead of doing it on their own.

She wanted to do this the right way, and didn't want her husband to taint his hands with another man's blood. If she could help Feng Tianyi change his ways for the better, proving to everyone that he wasn't the sa horrible man that he was several years ago, then Tang Moyu was willing to do her best.

As for Zhang Jiren…

"Is this why you didn't bother to reveal yourself to ? If my husband didn't stumble over the fact that you were investigating our mother, were you planning to keep your distance from ?" she questioned him.

Zhang Jiren felt that he couldn't really lie in front of his twin sister. She managed to co up with such a deduction after hearing his confession earlier.

"En," he affird. "After what I've done to your husband, I didn't think I was worthy enough to beco your brother. I am ashad of myself."

Compared to Tang Beixuan, he was a horrible brother towards his sister.

Zhang Jiren was ready to live the rest of his life away from her. If Feng Tianyi hadn't confronted him, he wouldn't have dared to let his identity be known to his sister. It was his way to atone for his sins, but who would have thought that Tang Moyu would eventually find out and he would end up marrying her best friend?

Tang Moyu rested a hand on her forehead and shut her eyes. Since the deed was already done years ago and Feng Tianyi had forgiven him, who was she to hold resentnt against her brother, when in fact, she was the reason why he'd done it?

"Is there sothing else I need to know?" she asked him.

Zhang Jiren froze; his back straightened as the thought of Li ili crossed his mind. Tang Moyu waited for his answer, watching him intently as she rested her chin over her clasped hands.

"I…" He lowered his gaze. "I like ili."

Tang Moyu's brows shot up. She wasn't expecting to hear such a confession coming from her twin brother. Although she and Li ili were very close since they were young, she never interfered or dared to comnt about whom she was dating at all.

Although she did rember beating so of her exes a long ti ago, she respected Li ili's decision. Even when she started seeing Tang Beixuan, she had given them her blessing.

However, with Zhang Jiren, she knew the implications of such feelings he held for her best friend. Tang Moyu didn't want to see him nor ili get hurt. She knew that this contract marriage between them was a bad idea in the first place, but she wasn't able to stop Li ili making such a drastic decision with her twin brother.

"You know, this wouldn't end well. ili sees you as a good friend she can rely on," she told Zhang Jiren. Also, she didn't think that her best friend would be able to accept his feelings, as Li ili was obviously not over Tang Beixuan yet.

"I know. That's why I'm allowing her to divorce once the two years are over. It's not her fault. It's who developed feelings when I wasn't supposed to," he said in defense.

Of course, he was aware that he would never be able to replace Tang Beixuan in her heart, that was why it was fine for him to keep his feelings to himself so he wouldn't confuse her. The last thing he wanted was to hurt Li ili and Leyan. He didn't want to see Li ili shed a single tear again, especially if he was the reason for those tears.

"Feelings aren't sothing you can easily forget," Tang Moyu insisted. "I don't see why you have to say sorry for this. If you like her, then you like her. To be able to love, you need a lot of courage, but to stay brave after knowing your love isn't reciprocated is also needed. You have to know where to draw the line to make sure you won't over step your limit."

"I'll keep that in mind. Thank you."

To stay brave and accept that Li ili would never co to love him? Ah, perhaps Tang Moyu was right.

Silence ensued as Zhang Jiren waited for his sister's to speak. He was still waiting for her judgnt over his part in her husband's accident years ago. Would she be able to forgive him like Feng Tianyi did? Zhang Jiren suddenly thought that it was hard for him to know what his twin sister was even thinking.

"I'm really sorry. I know no words would be able to change anything now, but I truly regret what I've done, Sister." He looked away, not daring to et her gaze when he knew he was at fault.

"Stop apologizing already." This ti Tang Moyu stood up and wrapped her arms in her midsection. "The important thing right now is that Feng Tianyi has forgiven you. It wasn't whom you wronged, but him. As for , please promise you'll never do such a reckless thing again. I don't want to hear you doing sothing dangerous because of ."

Zhang Jiren was surprised. He was not expecting her to let him off with just a scolding.

"I give you my word, Moyu Jie. It will never happen again."
