Feng Tianyi wasn't sure if he heard his brother-in-law correctly, while Tang Moyu stared at her twin brother in confusion. Neither of them could understand what Zhang Jiren ant, and why he was telling them this. However, from the way Zhang Jiren sounded, it was obvious that this wasn't also easy for him to say.

"I don't understand…" It was Tang Moyu who voiced their puzzlent.

Zhang Jiren understood that it wouldn't be easy for them to understand what he was saying, given that he and Tang Moyu didn't know Feng Tianyi back then.

"It's just what I said. The person, who was responsible for the car accident Feng Tianyi got involved in seven years ago, is none other than ," he repeated.

Feng Tianyi finally had a gist of what his brother-in-law was talking about, and why Zhang Jiren was acting like this at the mont. For Zhang Jiren to co here under such circ.u.mstances, it was either sothing ca up or he needed to tell Tang Moyu sothing important that couldn't wait any longer.

"Why don't you tell us what happened from the start, so Moyu and I can understand you better," he suggested, before placing a hand on top of his wife's.

Tang Moyu glanced at him and he gave her an assuring look. At tis like this, she knew that she could rely on him—? but what about her twin brother? Since their father's death, Zhang Jiren didn't have anyone to rely on.

Zhang Jiren's hand tightened on the tea cup in his hand. Ah, he really ssed up this ti, and no matter how much he apologized for it, what happened in the past could never be changed.

"It started when I ca back here after my long stay in Beijing. I was supposed to be back a year earlier, but Zhang Xianzhe asked to clean up the ss his son left in Beijing. The mont I ca back here, I realized I ca back too late." He paused and glanced at his twin sister's impassive face.

"I heard that my sister was humiliated by Feng Tianhua and has been forsaken by the Tang family to save themselves." He shut his eyes and the grip on his cup tightened. He really hated what Feng Tianhua did to his sister, and wanted to teach him a lesson so badly for bullying Tang Moyu.

"I wanted to beat him into a pulp— teach him a lesson he would never forget after what he'd done to my sister." Just the re thought of what Tang Moyu suffered because of Feng Tianhua was enough to make his blood boil with anger.

No matter how many years had passed, he still couldn't forgive what Feng Tianhua did to her. There were several occasions when he had t the man while attending business conferences, but Zhang Jiren would always steer clear, not wanting to be in the sa place as Feng Tianhua.

Now that the world knew what kind of cheap woman he married, did Feng Tianhua finally realize how he wronged Tang Moyu? Did he regret choosing Xing Yiyue over the empress?

The answers to these questions, Zhang Jiren didn't care to hear at all, because in his eyes, Feng Tianhua would never be worthy to beco his brother-in-law.

"That bastard. Who did he think he was for treating Tang Moyu that way?" This ti the anger and hatred on his eyes were seen by the couple in front of him. His anger was so strong; it surprised Tang Moyu to see him like this.

"Did he really think he's worthy of my sister's hand? After all the things she had done to help him manage Feng Conglorate, who gave him the right to kick Tang Moyu to the curb once he deed her worthless?"

Her sister's pitiful state as she left the Tang Estate after being denied by her own family was the last ti he'd seen Tang Moyu before she left the country with Li ili.

"I hate him. I really despise that man down to the core, but I hate myself even more for being a useless brother." The thoughts he kept on his own, Zhang Jiren finally let it show.

"If only I ca back a little earlier, she wouldn't have to suffer like that. Dad and I should have taken her back…" His voice trailed off, his gaze eting Feng Tianyi. "I wanted to teach your little brother a lesson but I didn't know I made a crucial mistake," he confessed to his brother-in-law.

Zhang Jiren didn't need to say more as Feng Tianyi and Tang Moyu understood what he was implying. To think that he was able to sche like this against Feng Tianhua only for Feng Tianyi to suffer in the end, they were both lost for words.

"I understand if you will hate because of this." Zhang Jiren was really ashad of what he'd done. "None of these would have happened if it weren't for what I've done in the past."

How could he stay still and pretend that he was innocent when lives had been lost because of what he'd done? While it's true that he hated Feng Tianhua, he'd never expected that there would be collateral damages from his sche.

Zhang Jiren was aware of what could happen after his confession. Tang Moyu would hate him— bla him for hurting her husband and for losing Tang Beixuan in the revenge that should have been aid at him instead.

Once Li ili found out the truth, he also knew the possibility that she might co to hate him too. He wouldn't be surprised if she demanded for them to divorce even before the two years of their contractual marriage was up. It would break his heart to let her go but he would respect her decision.

"Dad warned not to act recklessly. I really should have listened to him and reined in my anger. I shouldn't have let my anger cloud my mind." He admitted that he was truly the wrong one here.

"I ca here to clear things up and for Feng Tianyi not to bla himself for what happened. It was never his fault. The bla is on ."
