"What is it?" He questioned.
"The chanic who checked on his car said that the engine was sowhat tampered and the wirings weren't properly installed in their rightful place. It seed that soone was trying to play a prank on him…"
"Or testing him?" Zhang Jiren finished Feng Tianyi's words.
"I don't know about that, but since Tang Beixuan had frequently visited us these past few days, that's probably the reason why he was targeted," which was awful and too low in Feng Tianyi's opinion.
If the perpetrator wanted to plot against him and Tang Moyu, Tang Beixuan should be spared from it. He couldn't help but feel a little guilty that he was the one who put Tang Moyu and her siblings in danger. Because of him, his wife had lost her beloved brother.
There were no words that could describe how painful it was for him to see his wife in such a broken state. Even Li ili now was far from the jolly and energetic woman he was accustod to. Tang Beixuan's death really left an impact on them.
"So what do you plan to do now?" He heard Zhang Jiren asked.
"I need your help." Feng Tianyi said with a straight face. "Before we can go into an all-out war, we should know who our opponent is."
Zhang Jiren could see that the devil was determined to put an end to all of this. He also didn't want to drag this issue any longer. The sooner they could stop the perpetrator, the better.
"How can I help you?" He asked. He had to give credit to the man, given how fast Feng Tianyi was able to collect details he needed in a short span of ti without leaving Tang Moyu's side.
Compared to Feng Tianyi who had a vast amount of influence and resources, Zhang Jiren was lacking much. So what could the devil do that he couldn't?
"Actually, I ran a check on how Tang Beixuan spent his ti for the past weeks leading up to his death. There isn't anything unusual with him. But once in a while, a man is caught tailing behind him. Based on the reports I received, it's like once every three days. The place where his car was usually parked also didn't show any disturbances. I'm trying to find out when and where the perpetrator struck him."
Zhang Jiren had given it a good thought. Feng Tianyi didn't need to voice out what he truly wanted from him because he already knew. Since he was the current CEO of Zhang Corporation where Tang Beixuan worked, it should be easy for him to request copies of the CCTV recordings of the company building.
"I'll see what I can do, but I can't promise you anything," he told Feng Tianyi truthfully. They wouldn't be able to bring back Tang Beixuan to life, but at least they would be able to seek justice for his untily death. Even now, it hadn't truly sunk in their minds that Tang Beixuan had really died in front of them.
The devil nodded. He understood that Zhang Jiren was trapped in a pit full of snakes. He needed to be careful so his 'father' would not suspect that he was planning to destroy the Zhang family from the inside. Only half of his plans had been executed and Zhang Jiren couldn't afford to commit a single mistake that could ruin all his hard work for several years.
"I understand. I'm just trying to make sure I didn't overlook anything. Don't worry about Moyu, but you should be careful with the Zhangs. I don't think Zhang Liang would make your life easier now that he's back." He warned him.
"I know." Zhang Jiren let out a chuckle. Obviously, that idiot Zhang Liang hated him down to the core and was surely trying to find sothing that he could use against him. Zhang Liang was Zhang Xianzhe's firstborn son, yet a bastard like him was the one chosen to succeed the company.
"Is Tang Moyu going to stop working for the anti?" He asked Feng Tianyi. He could look after himself, but that didn't an he wasn't worried about his twin sister. More than anything else, he also wanted the perpetrator to be apprehended as soon as possible. He wanted him to pay for harming Tang Moyu and killing Tang Beixuan.
"Yes, that's the plan. She will stay at ho with the twins. Xiao Bao and Little Star will be hoschooled for the anti, until we can put an end to this problem. I can't allow anyone the chance to harm them until I eliminate all the dangers outside."
"I see…" Zhang Jiren could see how angry and frustrated Feng Tianyi was. His face showed an unconcealed ferocity that was enough to scare a normal person. However, this didn't faze Zhang Jiren, he wasn't called "The Second Devil" for nothing.
"That's all. I'll call you once I find anything." Feng Tianyi was about to turn to leave when they heard a loud crashing sound coming from the main hall where Tang Beixuan's funeral was being held. It was followed by a loud scream of a woman, which imdiately alerted him and Zhang Jiren.
"No! Beixuan, No!"
The two looked at each other and imdiately rushed back to the main hall, knowing very well who the owner of the voice was. They saw Zhang Wuying weeping, holding onto the casket helplessly as she cried her heart out seeing her son in such a state.
Feng Tianyi had expected that Zhang Wuying would arrive, but he also knew that he cannot deny the woman to see her dead son for the last ti. He could only hope that she won't cause a scene and bring sha to the Tang siblings.
Feng Tianyi returned to his wife's side and held her uninjured hand. She looked lost in a daze, ignoring the pitiful cries of the woman who had tornted her childhood. Her eyes cast low, refusing to acknowledge Zhang Wuying's presence while Li ili glared furiously at the old woman.
