Finally, the day of the inauguration ca and the guests arrived one after another. With so many reporters and dia camping just outside Xiao Xing, it was impossible not to notice this grand event that hadn't been seen in Shenzhen for years. What made it more intriguing was Feng Tianyi's involvent in the company.
It had been more than six years since he disappeared from the public eye. Everyone was curious as to what he was up to, and if he was still the sa Feng Tianyi who terrorized other businessn for his own entertainnt.
Well, he did manage to beco part of the news lately as he single handedly acquired Zion Inc., one of the rival companies of Qing Tian Group. His arrogant approach to suppress Zion Inc. and other companies' attacks had reminded everyone that they were still a force to be reckoned with.
Feng Tianyi and Tang Moyu, along with their children, were already in the company building since afternoon. The suits and the dresses they were going to wear for the event were already delivered in ti.
As they waited for the event to start, Tang Moyu busied herself with so workload while the twins were busy coloring the drawings they made after having lunch earlier. The two were very pleased with how spacious and huge their mother's office was. It looked so much better than the last one they visited so months ago.
"Mommy, what ti will Mommy Fen arrive? I wanna see her." Little Star lifted her head and looked curiously at her mother.
"She'll be here soon, honey." Tang Moyu brought down the papers she was reading. Since Song Huifen confird her attendance today, it was impossible for her not to show up, unless she fell sick again.
Their attention was taken when they heard a slight knock on the door, then they saw Cheng Ning at the doorway.
"Miss Moyu, Lady Song is here to see you." She inford Tang Moyu. Behind her, Song Huifen appeared wearing a simple but elegant cream colored evening gown.
"Are my cute little grandbabies already here? I'm missing our Xiao Bao and Little Star already." She said.
The two little buns's faces lit up the mont they heard what Cheng Ning said. They imdiately pulled themselves back to their feet to et their grandmother.
"Mommy Fen!" The two exclaid in unison as they ran towards Song Huifen to greet her. They clung to her side and held her hand, pulling the woman inside Tang Moyu's office.
"Thank you, Miss Ning!" Little Star grinned at her mother's assistant, which earned a giggle from Cheng Ning. She really loved her lady boss' cute babies. She didn't think anyone would have the heart to dislike these children.
"It's nothing. Please excuse as I need to get back to the banquet hall." She said before turning to leave.
"Moyu? You are still working at this ti? You should get so rest. You know how busy you can get once the party starts." Song Huifen comnted once she took a seat on the couch across Tang Moyu's desk.
The empress sighed and leaned her back against her seat. She knew her mother-in-law was right. She needed to save her energy for later. No doubt people would be shocked once they found out that she collaborated with Feng Tianyi in starting up Xiao Xing, plus the news of them being husband and wife.
"I understand, Mom. I will listen to you." She replied to her mother-in-law.
Song Huifen nodded, pleased that her daughter-in-law was at least agreeable, unlike her only son who had always insisted on doing whatever he wanted. Speaking of Feng Tianyi, she wondered where he was.
"Where's Tianyi? I thought he said he's already here with you?" She asked Tang Moyu.
"He's with He Lianchen and Song Fengyan at his office right across this room, Mom. I think they are discussing what to do next with Zion Inc., since he managed to secure a considerable share of the company." Tang Moyu answered.
"Ah, so it was like that. It hasn't been a week but President Cai already admitted defeat? I never thought we would be able to acquire Zion Inc. this easily." Song Huifen allowed Little Star to rest her small head on her l.a.p and gently run her fingers over the little girl's long tresses.
"It's because Tianyi threatened the other companies that Qing Tian Group wouldn't be associated with them if they dared to show support on Zion Inc. So of them were traders and suppliers that had so sort of a partnership with President Cai." The empress explained, stretching her legs beneath her desk to relax.
"Is this sothing you told him to do?" Her mother-in-law chuckled, amused that her son easily took his first win ever since he ascended to his current position.
"No, Mom. I wasn't aware that Tianyi would do sothing like this. It was He Lianchen who told about it the other day."
While it was true that forcing Zion Inc. into a purchasing war was her idea, Tang Moyu hadn't taught her husband to pressure the other companies that had partnersh.i.p.s with Zion Inc. to withdraw their support. She should have known that he would do sothing big to secure their win and make Zion Inc.'s downfall possible.
"Well, at least he contributed sothing. I know his pride wouldn't allow himself to accept his win if the only thing he did was execute your ideas." Song Huifen comnted. She believed that this experience would be able to teach her son how to deal with problems like this in the future. She was also glad to know that Feng Tianyi knew how to be responsible now and didn't act as recklessly and selfishly as he did before.
"Anyway, since he has already settled the problem with Zion Inc., it's your turn to make those naysayers shut up and eat their words, Moyu. Don't let them have the last laugh this ti, especially the Fengs."
"I know, Mom. I know."
