It turned out that the small package that Tang Moyu received yesterday ca from an institution the Tang Enterprise helped during Tang Moyu's managent. Although it was Lu Tianxin's idea to allow the company to do so charity work, Tang Moyu was the one who personally visited the place for inspection.
The very next day, Feng Tianyi found himself standing just outside of a shelter for holess people with Tang Moyu by his side. His wife didn't wear her usual clothes and dressed casually in a loose white shirt and fitted denim pants that allowed Feng Tianyi to ogle a little over her figure.
He was a little skeptical going to a place like this, since he'd never been to one before. But the face Tang Moyu had when she smiled at the small notes of birthday greeting inside the package told him that she had a soft spot for this place.
Feng Tianyi wasn't aware that such a place existed here in Shenzhen. From what he knew, this was the part of the city where immigrants and factory workers resided. As to how Tang Moyu ca to know of this place, he had no idea.
Tang Moyu stepped inside the building, not paying attention to his hesitation. With a deep sigh, Feng Tianyi followed her. Since he agreed to co with her, there was no point in turning back now.
The place was old, but surprisingly clean in Feng Tianyi's opinion. He had thought that this would be a dirty place, considering how many holess people were here. One of the walls had a huge bulletin board that was filled with job advertis.e.m.e.nts that could help so of the holess and jobless people.
He followed Tang Moyu to the second floor of the building until they were greeted by an old woman in her late fifties.
"Miss Tang! It's so nice to see you after so long. We heard from Miss Lu that you already left Tang Enterprise." The old woman said with a sigh before her eyes caught Feng Tianyi, who was standing behind the empress.
"So who's your companion today?" She asked with a teasing smile on her face, making the wrinkles on her face more apparent.
Tang Moyu's lips curled into a smile and took Feng Tianyi's hand in hers.
"Madam Ning, it's nice to see you as well. This is Feng Tianyi, my husband. He will be coming here with to assist you from now on." She said with a smile, while Feng Tianyi was smiling like an idiot. He was so happy that Tang Moyu introduced him as her husband for the first ti.
Madam Ning gasped and covered her mouth in shock.
"Oh my goodness, we didn't know you were already married, Miss Tang!" She exclaid.
Tang Moyu shook her head.
"It's alright, Madam Ning. Not everyone is aware of it. We aren't keeping it a secret, but would like it if you keep it from everyone in the anti. Tianyi and I would love to have so privacy to ourselves."
"Of course. Of course. That's no problem with , Miss Tang. As newlyweds, it's normal to want so extra ti to yourselves. I wish you a happy marriage." Madam Ning eyed Feng Tianyi, her eyes turning into inverted moons as she was happy to see that the empress had finally found a man who could be with her. She just hoped that this man would take care of Tang Moyu.
"Thank you, Madam Ning. Moyu and I appreciate your concerns for us." Feng Tianyi chid in their conversation. "We also ca to thank you personally for the small presents you sent to Moyu for her birthday."
"Oh, Mr. Feng. That's nothing compared to the things Miss Tang and Miss Lu did for our little shelter here." Madam Ning gestured her hand around them. "If it wasn't for the Tang Enterprise's help, we wouldn't be able to help more people than what we could before."
"Enough of that, Madam Ning. Tianxin and I only did the best for the shelter. Anyway, where's everyone?" Tang Moyu tried to divert the conversation as she wasn't comfortable receiving such complints from others.
"Ah, well, we are about to serve lunch. Why don't you two follow and help the others?" Madam Ning said before leading the two to the other set of stairs, which led to the kitchen of the shelter.
Feng Tianyi was shocked to see that the place wasn't as unruly as he initially thought. Perhaps he should stop overthinking and have faith in his wife. He should know better than doubting his wife's magical hands. Tang Moyu liked to organize things and he should have expected that this place would be near, if not already reach, her standard.
"Are you surprised?" Madam Ning laughed as she looked at Feng Tianyi. "Miss Tang implented a rule that patrons should get a shower first before coming here to eat. After that, they would have a choice to repay the shelter by doing so nial work like cleaning here. Have you seen the bulletin downstairs?"
Feng Tianyi nodded in response. It was impossible not to notice it since there were people scurrying around to see it.
"That's where we posted job listings we received from companies who mailed us for recruitnt. Miss Tang and Miss Lu have used their connections to help others find a job that could improve their lives."
"Oh.." Feng Tianyi felt a little ashad that he was easily read by the old woman. Tang Moyu didn't explain anything about what he should expect on this visit, but he understood that his wife was one who didn't make it a habit to brag about what she'd contributed to others.
It made him smile at the thought. He could already imagine her bashful expression once people started to talk about it. It made him fall deeper in love with his wife. He had never t a woman who was willing to help others to such an extent.
