Since then, Zhang Jiren had been eting with his father discreetly. He never ntioned anything about them being father and son and maintained his facade as a filial child to Zhang Xianzhe. He and Tang Lixue had agreed that it was best for him to stay with the Zhang family to keep an eye on their plans in the future.

Tang Lixue was also worried that his son would be targeted by Zhang Wuying and whoever was responsible for Yan Qiuyu's death. If the Zhang family was responsible for it, they had no other choice but to keep an eye on them from the inside.

So many years had passed since then and even if they managed to find the culprit that caused the destruction of their family, Tang Lixue knew that it was impossible to send them behind bars.

The only consolation he had right now was knowing that his son had sohow survived and soon his twins would be reunited once he settled the problems within the Tang family.

Today was Tang Moyu's flight, Tang Lixue had taken his daughter to the airport and allowed her to spend so ti with Li ili before her departure. So many years had passed since Yan Qiuyu's death, and his children had grown up in the blink of an eye.

"Are you sure you don't want to tell your sister yet? I'm sure Moyu would be glad to know that she has a twin brother." Tang Lixue told his son as he accompanied Zhang Jiren, who was dressed up in a business suit, his hair styled differently from his usual one as he pretended to be his father's bodyguard for this day, so he would be able to see his sister discreetly.

He also put on dark sunglasses to cover his eyes, just in case soone was able to recognize him.

"Sis doesn't know she has a twin. If she'd known that she isn't Zhang Wuying's daughter, she would be broken." He replied to his father.

Tang Lixue's face fell when he heard the reply. Tang Moyu still had no idea that the woman that raised her wasn't her birth mother and that she had a younger twin brother. He wasn't even sure that he would be able to receive her forgiveness one day, when everything finally ca into light.

"It's my fault. I shouldn't have let them raise Moyu in my stead." Tang Lixue sighed. He should have fought tooth and nail against his family for Moyu's sake.

Alas, there was no dicine for regret. His daughter's mind had already been poisoned by his estranged wife, the woman he despised the most. It took him so ti to convince his daughter to leave the country and pursue her studies overseas in an attempt to lessen Zhang Wuying's influence over Tang Moyu.

"There's no point wallowing in self pity now. The only thing we could do is to protect Sister Moyu." Zhang Jiren comnted.

"What about you? What do you plan to do now?" His father questioned him.

"I'm going to attend a university in Beijing, just as 'father' had arranged for . We shouldn't waste such an opportunity, right?"

The Zhang family, especially Zhang Xianzhe, had no idea that the young boy they adopted and grood with the intention to use against the Tangs, was now leeching on their resources. Dare to use him? Zhang Jiren would let them taste their own dicine.

Zhang Jiren stared at his sister from afar and watched as she tried to placate her crying best friend. He was glad to know that despite her cold personality, Tang Moyu was able to find a good friend in Li ili. At least, she wasn't truly alone on her own, unlike him.

"When will you leave?" He heard his father ask. They had only recently been reunited and yet they were about to be parted from each other once again.

"In about a week. Don't worry about , Dad. This ti, I'll do my best so I can help you and Sister Moyu in the future." Zhang Jiren replied. Now that he finally knew the truth about his family and how they had suffered, he couldn't pretend that he knew nothing and turn a blind eye on his sister's suffering.

They cannot return the years that had passed, and he still couldn't reveal himself to her at the mont. In due ti, Zhang Jiren hoped that he would be able to introduce himself as Tang Lingjun, not only to his sister, but also to everyone.

"Then, take care of yourself." Tang Lixue said with a hint of sorrow in his voice. His twins were leaving his side, but it was for their own good. "Call on my private line if you need anything."

"Yes, I will." Zhang jiren was glad that he finally had a father he could truly rely on. This was sothing he had never shared with Zhang Xianzhe, no matter how the latter tried to treat him fairly in front of his children.

Heh, those arrogant fools would surely vomit blood once they find out that the person they were bullying all these years wasn't truly a Zhang, but a son from the Tang family. Zhang Xianzhe had made a mistake if he thought he would be able to use Tang Lingjun.

"It's almost ti for your sister's departure. Let's go and send her off." He heard Tang Lixue say before turning to leave, not waiting for his response.

Zhang Jiren adjusted his coat and followed shortly after his father. He walked a few feet behind Tang Lixue, but still close enough to hear the conversation between him and his sister.

"Moyu, do you have everything you need?" Tang Lixue asked his daughter. Looking at Moyu's face, he was proud of the woman she beca, in spite of the nasty things Zhang Wuying tried to imprint on her.

"Yes, Father." Tang Moyu replied and patted Li ili's back, who was still crying.

Zhang Jiren didn't miss the formal tone his twin sister used with their father. It seed that she purposely distanced herself from Tang Lixue.
