It only made Tang Moyu even more confused, while Feng Tianyi's eyes widened with realisation when he suddenly rembered what had happened in the past. How could he have forgotten?!
How could he forget that when he went to Guilin with his Uncle Yang and Song Fengyan, it was during the ti when he and his cousin let their hair grow long. His hair had gotten so long that it grew past his shoulders giving him a girly look.
"Ah.. yes. I think I rember now." Feng Tianyi admitted out loud, while Xiao Bao's brows shot up, hitting his fringe in curiosity.
Eh? Mommy and daddy had t before? How co they don't recognize each other? The little boy wondered, cupping his chin like what his mommy always did out of habit.
Even Little Star looked at her parents curiously. Her eyes twinkled, wanting to know how her parents t each other for the first ti. Her young mind, thinking how her mommy and daddy were ant to be together from the beginning.
They might have missed the first and second ti eting each other, but because she and her Yu Gege worked hard to set them up together, her mommy and daddy did eventually end up together.
"Huh? So you've t before? How co I don't rember anything?" Tang Moyu asked her husband, who was bashfully blushing beside her. This was one of those rare tis for her to see him like this.
What could have happened in the past that made him act like this?
Feng Tianyi fell silent as the mories of the past ca to his mind. Since he t his twins and started seeing Tang Moyu, he tried thinking of and rembering his past, in fear that he might harm his wife and his children if he forgot to be cautious.
*Flashback*
"Young Master? Young Master, where are you? Your Uncle is looking for you!"
Feng Tianyi heard the butler looking for him, but he had no intention to be found, as he wanted to be alone for the anti. His mother had stayed in Shanghai and had allowed him to go on a short trip with his Uncle Yang and his cousin, Song Fengyan.
Song Fengyan was too full from their lunch earlier and decided to take a nap in his room, leaving Feng Tianyi on his own. Feng Tianyi hid behind the tall pillar of the patio leading to the gardens and kept quiet.
Watching the butler go, Feng Tianyi slowly walked towards the opposite direction, avoiding everyone. He arrived at the deserted part of the villa leading to the woods that separated the estate from their neighboring properties.
Feng Tianyi laid under the shade of the tree, resting for the ti being. At least he did not need to see his father and stepmother fawning over his half brother. For the longest ti, he had been treated as an outcast in his own family, his own father forgetting about his existence.
He sighed and looked up at the blue sky, watching the drifting clouds above him. The weather here in Guilin was nicer than Beijing and Shenzhen. But as soon as the sad mories ca to his mind, he covered his eyes with one arm and bit his lower lip tightly.
Why did his father forget him in favor of his bastard son with that woman? Why did his father betray him and his mother? Just where did it go wrong?
"Why did my father decide to pass the company to him? As his father, the business should be mine!"
His father used to hold him responsible, raising him with an iron fist. Feng Tianyi never understood what those words ant before. Each ti his father said those words, it made him feel like he was blaming him for sothing that Feng Tianyi couldn't understand.
"You have to listen to as you are the next head of the Feng family. Do you understand, Tianyi?"
Young Feng Tianyi could only nod obediently while his mother was feeling helpless at the thought. It was a few years later when Feng Tianyi finally realized that his grandfather had refused to hand over Feng Conglorate to his father and had skipped a generation, naming him as his successor instead.
He loved his father and sympathized with the unfair treatnt of his grandfather to him. Feng Tianyi owed his life and whatever he had to his father. However, it took him so ti to understand that in his father's eyes, he was nothing more than a disappointnt. A thorn engraved deep inside of him.
Feng Tianyi wanted to do sothing for his father, that was why no matter how hard the training he needed to endure to beco the rightful successor of the Feng family, he proceeded without complaining.
He loved his father but…
When he ca ho one afternoon, he heard his father arguing with his mother. It was improper of him to listen to his parents' conversation, but he couldn't help it. He learned sothing he wished he never knew.
Feng Tianyi wasn't born out of love, but out of the obligation to produce an heir. He wished that he could remain ignorant of the truth, pretend that nothing had changed, but he couldn't.
Was this why his father never ca to love him?
"Let's get divorced. I can't do this anymore. Give my son to ." Song Huifen said with a hint of distress in her voice. "You think I wouldn't know about that woman and your bastard son? What do you take for, Feng Zuyi?"
"You want to have Tianyi's custody? Never!" Feng Zuyi sneered at his wife with contempt. If it was not because he was forced to marry this woman, he would never have to leave Wang Ruoxi and hide his other son.
Wang Ruoxi, a commoner, had continued her affair with his father even though he was already married. After years of hiding their relationship from the public, Wang Ruoxi gave birth to their son, Feng Tianhua.
