The faces of the shareholders turned ashen as the three top executives of the company resigned from their posts on such short notice. They were all aware of the possible outco of this sudden turn of events.
The empress's faux apologetic voice as she filed her resignation to the board left everyone speechless. Without the empress, Gu Yuyao and Lu Tianxin, they were left with no other choice but to seek the help of the entire Tang family. Even Feng Tianhua was shocked by the sudden move made by his ex-fiancee.
"You played us well, Moyu." Elder Tang shook his head incredulously and could feel a migraine coming his way. It was one thing that Tang Moyu was chasing them out of their ho, but she had also sold half of the shares of the company to a third party.
The empress only gave him a faint smile, but her expressive eyes showed mockery in it. Her face showed no fear or grievances anymore. In fact, Tang Moyu felt better than ever. Elder Tang had been in business for generations, but he was certainly no match against his granddaughter.
"It's all thanks for you and mother, grandpa. You made like this. I couldn't have done this if it wasn't for you." Her cold gaze was enough to pierce his heart with guilt and regret.
Tang Moyu stepped out of the conference room with the arrogance of a victor. The corner of her lips lifted up at the thought that she had successfully left a deadly blow on the Tang family. The last trace of warmth and concern she had for the family was long gone.
Now, the only thing that bothered her was the truth behind her mother and twin brother's death. It couldn't be just that simple, considering how the Elder Tang and Zhang Wuying refused to talk about it at all.
She had succeeded in ruining the Tang family, but why did she feel like it wasn't enough? Was she forgetting sothing? Tang Moyu questioned herself but shook her head. It wasn't the right ti for her to overthink. Now that she was no longer part of the family and the company, she had to move on and share the burden of running Xiao Xing with her husband.
At this mont, she was bidding goodbye to everyone and thanking them for their hard work. Tang Moyu wouldn't be able to regain her status if these people hadn't put their trust in her and cooperated with every project and collaboration she had planned and secured on behalf of the company.
As the empress walked further away from her family, the sounds of her footsteps leaving gradually faded away. She was curious to see how they would be able to save themselves on the sinking boat she had just unscrewed.

Tang Moyu pulled out her phone and decided to call her husband. One of her brows lifted up when she noticed that there was a change on the contact details. Since when did Feng Tianyi change his na from 'Qin Jiran' to 'Hubby' on her contact list? She didn't even notice it!
"How was it? Are you satisfied with the results?" She heard Feng Tianyi say after he picked up her call on the second ring. Tang Moyu only humd in response and waved a hand when soone greeted her in the hallway.
"Baobao and Little Star are curious why you are on television again. It's hard to explain to them why their mommy is so popular these days." He laughed.
"Everything went well, but I need so help." She said in a low voice, not wanting anyone to hear their conversation.
"What is it?"
"I wanna go ho, but I can't leave the company building. There are so many people camping outside." She said truthfully.
"Alright. Give at least five minutes. I'll arrange for soone to pick you up. Just let know where's the safe place to et you."
Tang Moyu agreed and gave the details he needed. While waiting, she helped Cheng Ning to clean up her table at the CEO's office. The young woman looked dispirited. Cheng Ning was also not inford ahead of ti of her boss's resignation. Seeing her like this, how can the empress ignore her situation?
"Miss Cheng, I know we've only been working together for more than nine months and your contract is under Tang Enterprise. If it doesn't inconvenience you, I would like to hire you as my personal assistant. Of course, I will help you settle your contract with the company before we sign a new one."
Cheng Ning was montarily stunned as she looked at her boss. She'd been saddened by the news of her boss leaving the company along with Miss Gu and COO Lu, but there was nothing else she could do as they were firm in their decision.
Furthermore, knowing that she had signed her contract as Tang Moyu's assistant on behalf of the company, it wouldn't be easy for her to suddenly leave Tang Enterprise without paying for the breach of her contract. The price wasn't sothing she could afford in a short ti.
Working as an executive assistant for CEO Tang was one of the highlights in Cheng Ning's career. Even if it was just for a few months, she learned so much by being on Tang Moyu's side.
"I… Are you sure, Miss Moyu?" She asked with teary eyes. She hadn't expected that the empress would still want to work with her.
Tang Moyu gave her a small smile and patted her shoulder as they finished tidying up her office.
"I don't think I would be able to find a capable assistant like you, Miss Cheng. Since you are already acquainted with my family, I will be assured if you continue to work by my side."
Cheng Ning wept silently and nodded her head. At least she wouldn't be left alone here.
