Tang Moyu soon found herself in the study with Song Huifen. The older woman had requested a word with her in private, which she easily complied to. She could only assu that Lady Song wanted to talk about her little buns, now that the truth about their relationship with Feng Tianyi had co to light.

She wasn't sure what Lady Song's stand was in this new revelation, but since the older woman had known the truth even before she and Feng Tianyi found out about it, it was impossible not to think that Song Huifen already had sothing in her mind about the twins' future.

As long as Feng Tianyi and his mother didn't try to take her little buns from her, fighting for their custody, Tang Moyu didn't mind discussing their plans about her children.

"Moyu, I heard from Tianyi that you already know…" Song Huifen's words trailed off, but the empress had understood her loud and clear.

"Yes. This is quite… shocking to be honest." She admitted. Until this day, she couldn't believe that Feng Tianyi was the one who fathered her little buns. The truth was just starting to sink in her mind and she had to admit that she felt like fate was being an to her.

"I see. That's understandable." Song Huifen slightly nodded and clasped her hands together over her mahogany desk, her eyes never leaving Tang Moyu.

"I hope this doesn't change your mind about Tianyi. He can be stupid and extrely selfish at tis, but I hope you'll try to understand his shortcomings." She paused as if she rembered sothing.

"Moyu, aren't you going to ask why I kept the truth from you and Tianyi?" She questioned.

Tang Moyu regarded her for a mont and tried to find the right words to express herself. She was a person who wasn't good at expressing her feelings, but she needed to answer Song Huifen's question with all the honesty that the older woman deserved.

"Because like , you are a mother, Lady Song. Even if your relationship with Tianyi wasn't good before, I know you deeply care for him, even at this age." She saw Lady Song gently smile at her remark.

"Motherhood never ends. It is forever- no matter how old your child is and I know you also know this, Lady Song. You wanted to protect not only Tianyi, but also Baobao and Little Star." She continued.

Tang Moyu wasn't sure how long Lady Song had known that truth, but she knew how the older woman genuinely loved and cared for her little buns she had just beco acquainted with recently.

"It isn't only them, Moyu. You too." Song Huifen corrected her. "Do you know? You reminded so much of my younger years and I don't want you to commit the sa mistakes I made, Moyu. I want to save you and Tianyi from unnecessary heartbreaks."

The empress frowned and took a seat across Song Huifen. She wasn't sure what Lady Song was talking about.

"Say, Moyu. Are you considering getting married? Do you see yourself as a wife?" Song Huifen suddenly threw questions, one after another.

Tang Moyu contemplated on how to answer it. Indeed, marriage had occasionally crossed her mind these days, but she wasn't quite sure if she was ready for it. After her engagent with Feng Tianhua ended, she had never seen herself as a wife of another man, not until she t her ex-fiance's older brother.

She was startled upon realizing how much power and influence Feng Tianyi held over her now. That only being with him for a few months was enough for her to think that she cannot be without him in this lifeti. That she couldn't imagine life without him by her side.

"Yes." She admitted to her boyfriend's mother. "I did consider marriage, but I also have to admit that I haven't found enough reasons to get married yet." She said with all honesty, not shimming away from the older woman's inquisitive gaze.

"I see. If you wanted to get married just because of the twins, I wouldn't approve your union." Song Huifen said, her tone was one filled with absolute authority that not even the empress could question.

"Having children together would never be enough reason to be together and make your marriage work. You would only put Baobao and Little Star in such an awkward position that neither of them asked for. Do you get my point, Moyu?"

"Partly yes, Lady Song," said the empress, who earned a smile from Song Huifen by how honest this woman could be.

"When you're caught up in the excitent, it can be hard to imagine that you and Tianyi might not live happily ever after. Sharing your life with another person can be a challenge, Moyu, especially if you don't have a lot of experience with relationsh.i.p.s."

The empress nodded at that, understanding what the older woman ant now.

"With work and family responsibilities, I know that it can be easy to lose the romance factor between the two of you. Even now when you aren't married yet, you are having trouble keeping everything in balance. It would be harder once you are married, but to what extent could you hold out to make sure that you would be able to save your relationship?"

Tang Moyu didn't have an answer for that, but she did know that sooner or later, she would need to make a drastic decision for the sake of her children and Feng Tianyi.

"Moyu, you must be willing to put ti, effort and thought to nurture your marriage. Your children would also greatly benefit if your relationship with their father is strong."

After all, children tend to feel secure when they know their parents love each other.

"I learned this the hard way, Moyu. Don't repeat the sa mistake I made with Tianyi's father. Baobao and Little Star deserve better than that. So if you are going to marry, please make sure you are ready to be committed."
