When Tang Moyu woke up the next day, the sun was already high up in the sky and the man who slept next to her last night was nowhere to be found. She g.r.o.a.n.e.d as she realized that she had overslept again. This was one of the reasons why she was reluctant to sleep with Feng Tianyi, she didn't like that her work was being compromised by their intimacy.
She sat up and saw that the other side of the bed was empty, her heart tightened in her c.h.e.s.t slightly before Tang Moyu forced herself to calm down. Was she already used to having Feng Tianyi around to the point that she had started feeling uncomfortable when she wasn't with him?
There was no trace of their clothes on the floor from last night, so she assud that he had already cleaned up before he went out to make breakfast for their children. Thinking about it, why couldn't they do things linear?
She took a robe that Feng Tianyi left on the bedside table and decided to wash up and dress herself first before going out to look for him. When she stepped into the living room, she saw Feng Tianyi in the open kitchen, cooking sothing over the stove.
His back was facing her and Tang Moyu had an urge to embrace him from behind, which she did, catching the devil off guard. Feng Tianyi had a spoon in one hand as he took a quick taste of the food.
Tang Moyu then thought that he was quite dashing when he was cooking. She never thought she would like a man who could cook good food. She then took a peek at what he was cooking and saw sothing simring on the pot.
"Morning, sleepyhead. You overslept again, didn't you?" Feng Tianyi grinned at her. This was the second ti it had happened and it was obvious that Tang Moyu wasn't pleased with it. At this rate, the empress would force him to go for an extended fasting until she was able to clear her schedule again.
"And once again you didn't bother to wake up!" Her eyes narrowed at him with suspicion. She got a feeling that the devil had intentionally chosen not to wake her up earlier for work.
"Don't worry, I already called Miss Cheng and Lu Tianxin. They don't mind covering for you today. You're the boss. Why should they question you for not appearing for work?" He told her.
"This shouldn't happen again. It's really unprofessional, Tianyi." Tang Moyu scowled at him before her stomach grumbled from hunger. "What are you cooking?"
"Pasta." He answered her before gesturing to the dining table, which was already laid with so other dishes he had prepared earlier. "I know that you would wake up late today, so I dropped the twins at school and prepared our al."
The empress was surprised that he was able to prepare als within such a limited ti. It was already eleven in the morning and almost lunch ti.
Feng Tianyi smiled wickedly at her reaction. How can he waste such a good chance to tease her?
"Didn't you get a great bargain when you got as a boyfriend?" He winked at her shalessly. "I'm not only good in the bedroom, but also in the kitchen. Don't you think that I'm also husband material?"
Tang Moyu gave him a pointed glare before releasing him. She decided to eat as she was already starving. It was only natural for him to compensate her, since he was the one responsible for her current state.
"By the way, Fengyan and I will be leaving this Friday to oversee the production at Xiao Xing. Don't miss too much." He kissed her cheek as she busied herself with her al, not paying attention to him.
"You were saying sothing?" Tang Moyu raised a brow at him when she noticed his unusual silence as he sat next to her at the dining table, watching her eat to her heart's content. She clearly hadn't taken his words seriously and didn't comnt on his boasting.
Ah, to be bullied by his own wife! Was this the devil's karma? Feng Tianyi wondered.
"I said Fengyan and I will be leaving this Friday to oversee the production, just in case you forgot." He said with a scowl on his face.
anwhile, Tang Moyu wondered why he was having a mood swing right now. Didn't he want to go with Song Fengyan? But wasn't he the officer-in-charge at Xiao Xing right now? Even if she wanted to go herself, she cannot leave her work at Tang Enterprise easily.
"Then take care and good luck. Call if you need anything." She told him.
"What if I say that it's you that I need?" The devil said without batting an eyelid. "I want you, Moyu."
His words caught the empress off guard as she stared at him with wide eyes. Suddenly, her cheeks burned with a blush as her heart felt overwheld with this sweetness she wasn't accustod to.
She looked away and chastised herself. They already have children and had spent many nights together, so why was she acting like a teenage girl being teased by her crush? Her mind still hadn't grasped the reality that he was truly the man who fathered her twins.
As uncertainty followed the sweetness she was feeling, Tang Moyu wondered if what they had right now was enough for her to consider marriage with him. Glancing at his face, she knew he would agree to it.
"I can't go with you. You know this." Tang Moyu avoided his gaze and pretended that she wasn't moved by his words. "Would you be alright traveling and moving around?"
"Fengyan would do most of the inspections. I only need to take a seat and join the etings." Feng Tianyi shrugged.
