Indeed, from her young age, ng Yanran's father had exposed her to the craft and had been surrounded by precious gems. That was why, it wasn't easy for other people or her peers to deceive her eyes whenever they brag about the expensive jewelry they got from their lovers or families.

ng Yanran had never thought that she would be able to use the teaching her father had passed on to her in the future. Her mother had refused to allow her to take over their family business when it started to go down.

No matter how hard she tried, her efforts were just invalidated by her mother. If Tang Moyu hadn't ntioned it, ng Yanran would never consider following in her father's footsteps. Although it was a little too late, it was better late than never, right?

ng Yanran weeped silently as she took her things one by one, cleaning her table and packing everything she owned in a large suitcase she brought with her.

'Daddy, even now that you are gone, you are still able to help .' She thought.

The mory of her sitting on her father's l.a.p when she was young, spending ti together, him showing her the different gems and diamonds he had on his hand. Her father would then crack a joke, trying to make her laugh by telling her that she was more beautiful and precious than any gems he'd seen in this world.

'You are like a bright star in my life, Yanran. You are my lucky charm, princess.' Her father used to tell her.

eting the fallen empress, ng Yanran realized that it had beco a good turning point in her life. She might have lost a husband and a mother, but there's a promising life waiting for her, only if she was willing to let go of the bitterness in her life.

She tidied up her room, making sure everything was clean before dragging her suitcase down the stairs to bid goodbye to the couple who had welcod her to their ho.

Qin Jiran and Tang Moyu were already waiting outside. Mister Rong had removed the cover of her black rcedes and cleaned it up while they were away earlier, knowing that she would be leaving with their guests.

"Ready when you are." Tang Moyu said before opening the trunk of their car while Feng Tianyi, who was already seated inside, contemplated his life with the empress.

Tang Moyu couldn't wait for them to return ho. Not even two days and she was already missing her little buns. Anyway, whatever Feng Tianyi's problem was, it could wait until they had so ti to themselves to sort the issue, whatever it was this ti.

"I'm ready. I'll drive behind you. Don't worry, you won't lose on the road."

Tang Moyu had explained her living arrangent to her once they arrived in Shenzhen. She would temporarily be staying at a hotel before she flew off to oversee the production in two weeks. She didn't need to worry about anything, as everything had already been settled by Xiao Xing.

ng Yanran still didn't have any idea that the real reason why the two ca to the town was only to check on her. Who would have thought that the empress was able to convince her to return with them. Anyway, the bill was in Li Yuanyi's na whether he liked it or not.

ng Yanran nodded at the empress and followed her lead, loafing her heavy suitcase into the trunk of her car. She closed it before turning to bid goodbye to the old couple.

"Miss ng, please take care of yourself, okay? Give us a call whenever you need soone to talk to. I hope that the next ti we see you, you'll have a genuine smile on your beautiful face." Madam Rong said, cupping the side of ng Yanran's face.

ng Yanran tried to keep her tears at bay and nodded in response. She promised the old couple that she would never run away recklessly again, without knowing where she was going.

After bidding goodbye, ng Yanran looked around for the last ti, before sliding inside her car, igniting its engine that had been ignored for weeks. The car Tang Moyu and Feng Tianyi were in had already pulled out of the garage, the two waving their goodbyes to the old couple.

"Bye, Miss Tang! Mr. Qin! Please take care of Miss ng for us!" Madam Rong waved a hand as she stood next to her husband.

The drive back to Shenzhen would take around three to four hours, but since they would need to stop for breaks, ng Yanran estimated that they would be able to reach the city by eight in the evening.

A little late, but better than going head to head against the heavy traffic that would be waiting for them if they chose to travel tomorrow instead, ng Yanran thought.

Throughout their drive, Feng Tianyi's words to the empress were limited, only responding to her questions with his monosyllabic responses of yes or no. A little more and Tang Moyu was so ready to pull her hair out in frustration.

Why was the devil acting like a teenage girl on her period? For the love of god, she couldn't understand what was going on in his mind. Couldn't he just tell her what she had done wrong this ti rather than giving her a silent treatnt?

Seeing that her attempt to talk was pointless, Tang Moyu chose to be silent and focused on her driving instead. If Feng Tianyi wasn't willing to tell her what was bothering him, then so be it!

She would not be playing a mind reader of sorts just to understand his actions. She couldn't rember saying or doing anything wrong to be treated like this. For the first ti, the empress realized that she hated it when Feng Tianyi was giving her a cold shoulder. Well, she didn't think anyone would like to be treated like this.
