201 From Uncle to Daddy 1
"Aren't you going out with Lianchen tonight? Why are you here?" He questioned.
The devil loved spending his evenings with Tang Moyu and the little buns. However, these days Gu Yuyao had been spending more ti with them, casually obstructing his private ti with Moyu.
Gu Yuyao snorted. She wasn't the only one who ca here tonight. She brought Li ili, didn't she? So why was the devil only chasing her away and not Li ili?
"You really don't like each other, do you?" Li ili laughed seeing the sour expression on the devil.
"You have no idea, Miss Li." Feng Tianyi muttered before eyeing the empress who was busy tending to her children.
"So on the scale of one to ten, how bad do you think your relationship is with each other?" Li ili asked the two of them.
Gu Yuyao rolled her eyes before downing her drink in one go.
"Bold of you to assu he can count that high, ili." She taunted the devil, who was already glaring daggers her way.
"Ten is seriously low balling it, Miss Li," he countered.
"Hey, no fighting in front of your als." Tang Moyu shot them a fierce glare. "Baobao and Little Star are here to see you."
Gu Yuyao mouthed a quick apology to the empress before resuming her conversation with Li ili, but not before giving Feng Tianyi a kick on his leg under the table, as if blaming him for being chastised by Tang Moyu.
Tang Moyu felt a headache coming her way. Both Feng Tianyi and Gu Yuyao were consistently arguing whenever they were in the sa place. Was it too much for them to act like grown-ups in front of her children?
"Sorry, Moyu. I'll try not to get upset with Gu Yuyao next ti." Feng Tianyi said once their dinner was over as he helped the empress clean the dirty dishes in the sink.
This had beco a part of their routine in the evenings, while the twins were having a bath assisted by their newly hired nursemaids. Ever since the accident at the pond, she and Feng Tianyi decided to find soone who'll look after them whenever the two of them were caught up with sothing and were too busy to look after the little buns.
"Haven't you considered replacing the toy robot you and Song Fengyan ruined? Yaoyao must still be upset that she wasn't able to keep one of the last gifts her brother had given her." Tang Moyu suggested.
Feng Tianyi shrugged. He hadn't really given it a thought. Had he known that that was the only way for him to make peace with the woman, he would have asked Song Fengyan to find that limited edition toy robot.
"I'll see what I can do." He sighed dejectedly, "but I cannot promise that she would stop bothering after that."
"Do you need help?" Feng Tianyi asked as he followed her to the porch where they usually accept their guests and have tea together.
Tang Moyu placed the tray with the tea kettle and cups on top of the table before taking her usual spot.
"I'm still thinking of the right words to say. I'm not sure how they would take this news." She admitted.
Feng Tianyi automatically reached out to steep the tea and set the tir. He glanced at her face and saw a conflicted expression on her beautiful face again. Sighing to himself, he took her hands in his and patted it lovingly.
"I'm sure Baobao and Little Star would understand. Give them the benefit of the doubt. Who knows, maybe they had already assud we're together."
Feng Tianyi was briefly reminded of how the little buns called him "Daddy" during the incident at the pond. It seed that the two didn't mind him being with their mother, or they might have not taken him as a father figure even though they had spent a lot of quality ti together.
Having them as his children? The devil didn't mind it at all. In fact, he didn't care that the two didn't co from him. Even if their biological father showed up and stake a claim for custody of the little buns, he would surely fight alongside Tang Moyu to make sure they wouldn't be taken away from them.
As they pondered how to break the news to the little buns, they arrived at the porch, already dressed for bed.
"Mommy?" Xiao Bao called for their mother's attention before his pattering feet went to her, climbing on her lap. "You said you wanted to tell us sothing important. What is it, Mommy?"
Little Feiyu assud that this was about the kindergarten talk again. While he and Little Star were still wary if they should agree, they both understand why their Mommy wanted them to go.
His twin sister decided to go to their Daddy Ji instead. Feng Tianyi willingly welcod her to settle on his lap, which was covered with a blanket.
"What is it, Mommy?" Little Star asked, her round eyes landed on their Daddy Ji first before shifting to her mother. Lately, she and Yu Gege had noticed that their Mommy and their Daddy Ji were spending more ti together and there were tis when they caught both of them discussing sothing in low voices, which usually ended up making their Mommy's face turn red.
"Mommy…" Tang Moyu hesitated, but Feng Tianyi gestured to her to go on. Taking a deep breath, she mustered all her courage and faced her children.
"Mommy and your Uncle Ji are together now. Do you understand what Mommy ans?" She asked her little buns.
