When the manager heard that Alan was actually Newland Krex’s cousin, his eyes imdiately opened wide, and right after Alan finished speaking, the manager quickly bowed deeply at Alan, then said respectfully, "My apologies! I didn’t know that you are Newland Krex’s cousin! Please excuse for a mont, I will imdiately go ahead and pass your words over to Newland Krex."
After the manager finished speaking, he hurriedly left the private room.
anwhile, similar to the manager, Yeon, Yura, and Sharon, all of them were shocked when they heard that Alan said that he was Anna Krex’s big brother and Newland Krex’s cousin.
Looking at Yeon, he was currently eating his food while with his head lowered, however, sweat could be seen dripping down from his forehead, the back of shirt was beginning to get wet from his sweat, and he could be seen constantly taking glances at Alan.
"What the hell?! Isn’t Alan an orphan?! So how is he now suddenly the cousin of Newland Krex?! I have no idea who Anna Krex is, but if he is the big brother of soone who has the surna Krex, doesn’t it an that he belongs to the Krex Family too?! No... Is he lying about everything, just so he could have the chance to et with Newland Krex...? No, he is definitely not soone who would do sothing dumb like that... If Alan’s really from the Krex Family, it would explain how he was able to obtain evidence of my cri... Fuck! Does this an I’m actually done for?! How am I supposed to ever have the chance to take revenge against Alan if he’s really from a high-ranking family?! Ah!!!"
No one at the table was aware of what was going through Yeon’s mind, and they wouldn’t care too even if they were aware.
Not long after the manager left the private room and closed the door behind him, Yura imdiately opened her mouth and asked with both excitent and curiosity in her voice, "Alan?! I knew you were lying to us when you said you were an orphan! I must say, I didn’t expect that you would actually co from a top-ranking family, I originally thought that you ca from a middle-ranking family, just like and Sharon! However, why is your surna Leon and not Krex? Or were you lying to about your surna being Leon, when in actuality, it is Krex?"
Upon speaking up to here, Yura crossed her arms, then said coquettishly while tilting her head to the side so that she could look straight into Alan’s eyes, "Tell now, and do not lie to this ti round!"
Although Sharon was remaining silent, mainly due to Yura having snatched her chance to be able to speak first, but when looking at the look of curiosity on Sharon’s face, it was evident that she was very curious about what Yura asked to Alan.
Faced with Yura’s questioning, Alan shook his head helplessly as he took another bite of the roasted duck on his plate, then turned around to look at Yura, "Didn’t I already tell you? I am indeed an orphan. However, it is indeed true that Noland Krex’s daughter, Anna Krex, is my little sister. Therefore, technically speaking, Newland Krex could be counted as my cousin. Which is why I feel that I have to give him my greetings before I leave the restaurant since I am now aware that this restaurant belongs to him, otherwise, I’m afraid that once he finds out that I didn’t bother trying to greet him when I was at his restaurant, he would end up thinking that I am a rude person."
In actuality, Alan was purposely making use of his identity as Anna Krex’s stepbrother to make everyone think that he possesses a strong background, which was why he purposely left out the fact that he was Anna Krex’s stepbrother, and instead said that he was Anna Krex’s big brother. After all, there was a huge difference between being Anna Krex’s stepbrother, and being Anna Krex’s big brother.
And evidently, looking at everyone’s reaction, he was indeed successful in making everyone think that he possesses a strong background.
As for what would Alan do if his lies were to be found out?
Firstly, Alan was sure that Newland Krex would co over to the private room to greet him once the manager told him that he was here at his restaurant.
After all, from the previous host’s mories, Newland Krex did appear a few tis in the previous host’s mories, and Alan was able to co to the conclusion that Newland Krex was the kind of person that would treat everyone nicely, even if it was a person who was his enemy or a person who he dislikes.
To put it shortly, Newland Krex was basically a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Thus, even if Alan was indeed playing around with words and making it seem that Newland Krex was actually his cousin, Newland Krex wouldn’t take it to mind and would actually greet and treat Alan warmly as if Alan was really his cousin, at least, for the ti being.
After all, no matter what, it was still a fact that Alan was Anna Krex’s stepbrother, and also, Anna Krex was Noland Krex’s daughter.
Before Newland Krex finds out and confird both Anna Krex and Noland Krex’s attitude toward Alan, Newland Krex wouldn’t do anything to offend Alan.
