Sylvie's first task upon returning to Winterfell City was to install four magic cannons on the city walls, one for each wall.

Why only four?

This was because Carl Bloodhoof had pleaded desperately, even offering his own beef as leverage, and shalessly managed to keep one magic cannon and two boxes of magic crystals for himself.

He was no longer just a Minotaur Warrior of the Bloodhoof Clan; he was now a brand new unit type—a Minotaur Magic Cannon Soldier!

Sylvie found this both amusing and exasperating, but he had to admit that having a magic cannon on his side during a skirmish in the wild would be incredibly uplifting news.

The Earth Knight's head couldn't be sent to Amper's domain, but last night, Sylvie discreetly left it at the chaotic gates of Buton City.

He believed that the Viscount of Buton would naturally help him complete the next step.

As Sylvie expected, this morning, the foolish system indeed confird that he had completed the task.

The compensation fund had already been arranged for the knights to distribute, and after this battle, most of the knights had completely reversed their attitudes towards the militia. Claremont even apologized to Sylvie for his previous thoughts.

Once everything was on track, Sylvie leisurely returned to his office to begin the second important task of the day.

"System, draw a prize!"

"Ding! Detecting that the host has completed all daily tasks, drawing a reward for the host..."

"Ding! Congratulations to the host for receiving a unit reward: Hellhound... Ding! Triggering reward critical hit, upgrading to special unit: Hellfire Lord Saraken Ash."

"Ding! The reward will be delivered in a reasonable form. Please prepare in an open area."

"Ding! Detecting that the host's plundering of Buton City has destroyed the Buton Family's accumulated wealth, seized iron ore, and killed Earl Amper's loyal Earth Knight, causing severe psychological trauma to many, earning 30,000 Villain Points."

"Wow, a critical hit on the reward? And Villain Points? So many?"

Sylvie was delighted. Not only did the system reward a critical hit, but it was also his favorite unit reward, with a bunch of Villain Points as a bonus.

As for the system's ntion of an open area, wasn't his room spacious enough? It could fit two carriages without a problem.

Sylvie didn't mind, sitting comfortably in his office chair, too lazy to move.

"Ding! Reward has been delivered!"

Sylvie guessed that once again a magic array would appear on the ground, as he was already familiar with the system's routine.

But to his confusion, there was no reaction on the ground at all. Instead, a sharp whistling sound ca from the sky outside the castle.

"Whoosh—"

"Could it be a flying unit? Hellfire, it should be a fire spirit, right? No, that's not it..."

Sylvie was puzzled and followed the increasingly loud whistling sound to the balcony.

Find the original at "pawread".

"What the—!?"

Sylvie was dumbfounded, his scalp tingling.

In the sky less than five hundred ters from the castle balcony, a teor with a cyan-green tail fla was hurtling down with a whistling sound, aid directly at his room.

There was no ti to dodge.

Sylvie expressionlessly activated his battle aura and shield, facing it calmly. If he didn't know it was a unit sent by the system, he would have kicked it away.

"Boom—"

The cyan-green teor crashed straight into Sylvie's room.

The entire Winterfell Keep shook, and the knights looked in horror towards Sylvie's balcony, shouting in panic.

"Quick... go save My Lord!"

"Was My Lord crushed by a teor?"

"By the gods above..."

...

anwhile, inside Sylvie's room.

The choking dust settled, and the air was filled with a strong sulfur sll. A five to six-ter-tall stone giant gradually erged in the room, its head resembling a skull, its body engulfed in cyan-green flas.

"Flas! Death! Ashes!"

The fla giant roared, announcing its arrival to the Kain Continent.

"A brand new world, a fresh destruction!"

"The Burning Legion, incinerate everything!"

"Great Demon Lord Sylvie, Hellfire Saraken pledges its loyalty to you... uh..."

"Why are you a bug?"

The five to six-ter-tall fla giant lowered its head, which was emitting ghostly green flas, and stared wide-eyed at the Eaglehold Lord, who was child-sized in comparison.

Sylvie's eye twitched. This was the first ti soone had called him that, but he knew the fla giant ant no harm; it was genuinely surprised.

Its expression, wrapped in flas, made that clear.

Saraken: (°ο°)

"As you can see, I am your summoner, the bug you ntioned..."

"Ow! Damn it! Oh no... I an, great, Hellfire Saraken pledges its loyalty to you! Humble bug... uh... great lord."

Sylvie didn't mind Saraken's verbal slip-ups. This unit was clearly linked to demons and naturally didn't get along with humans. The fact that it didn't fight him upon summoning was already a blessing.

It seed the system had so skill, having made so sort of contract with these summoned beings to make them willingly pledge loyalty.

Since it was his summoned unit, Sylvie could see all of Saraken's information, and the impressive panel almost blinded him.

Hellfire

Look at that level, look at those magnificent skills. Although it has no equipnt, what equipnt does it need with that rocky body?

Sylvie was dumbfounded and admitted he couldn't defeat it.

Indeed, the system's critical hit rewards had never disappointed him, and this ti was no exception.

"Saraken, right... can you put out your flas? My desk is on fire..."

"Of course, esteed bug... uh... My Lord."

Saraken retracted the flas into its body, forming cyan-green magma hidden in the cracks of its stone body.

"Master... Master! Are you okay?"

At that mont, the anxious voice of the little maid Loli, tinged with sobs, ca from outside the door.

Loli had just returned from Mrs. Chris's place and saw a massive teor crash into Sylvie's room on her way back.

She couldn't care about anything else and rushed to Sylvie's room, losing one of her shoes in the process.

"Master!"

The door was flung open, and Sylvie helplessly covered his face, almost predicting what was about to happen.

"Bug! An even smaller bug!"

"Kind of like an orc? A strange bug!"

A hoarse, rough voice sounded above Loli's head, and she dumbly looked up, her pupils dilating.

"Mon... monster, Mas... Master, run! Loli... Loli will hold it off for you."

Loli bit her lip, mustering her courage, her face flushed red, and her petite body trembling as she stood in front of Sylvie.

"Mon... monster, eat instead. Master... Master is stinky and not tasty..."

Tears welled up in her eyes, spinning around, and though she was so scared she could barely speak, she still turned to Sylvie with her eyes, urging him to run.
