Book 6: Chapter 081: The Peacock Race’s Calamity
The Six Paths Veritable Lord had issued a bounty.
When he issued the bounty, it caused a worldwide commotion. All the major sects started searching. Practically the entire world chased after these demons that appeared out of nowhere.
Gu Hai put on a simple disguise and continued flying towards the peacock race’s territory when things cald down.
Peacock Deity Hall:
A group of peacock race elders went to et the Peacock Pri, bringing various portraits.
When they entered the hall, the twenty elders looked at the nearby azure-robed man clad in azure light. This was Kong Xuan.
“This! That’s right! It’s him!” one of the elders exclaid as he looked at a painting in his hands.
“Pri, the Six Paths Veritable Lord placed a bounty on a group of demons. He is among them! Pri!” the elders exclaid.
“Cough! Cough! Cough! Cough!” the Peacock Pri coughed.
The elders imdiately felt anxious, no longer thinking about the reward. Instead, they looked at the pri worriedly.
“Pri, you…why did you suddenly age so much? You weren’t like this yesterday!” an elder said, horrified.
Many more wrinkles had appeared on the Peacock Pri. Age spots dotted his skin, and the characteristic sll of the elderly was more pungent. It looked like he could go at any mont.
Plop! The twenty elders dropped to their knees.
“Pri, why are you like this?” The elders burst into tears.
“Don’t cry. This old man is happy. I finally can reincarnate in peace!” The old man smiled gently.

Suddenly, the azure light coming from Kong Xuan’s body withdrew and gave off a miserable cry.

The lant spread in all directions. All the peacocks in the world heard this miserable cry. This was the cry of the peacock deity.
The voice of the peacock deity could reach all peacocks.
The expressions of countless peacocks changed.

Kong Xuan sat cross-legged. After chatting through the night, the old pri had wanted to hand the old peacock deity to him.

One large deity and one small deity.
The two deities looked at each other.
The large deity said, “Given this, will I be destroyed soon? A wisp of my divine nature remained in the peacocks and reford a new deity eight hundred thousand years later?”
The small deity nodded. “You are the true body, and I am the clone. Unfortunately, I am connected to Kong Xuan. If I get destroyed, he will be injured.”
The large deity remained silent for a while.
The two deities faced each other in silence. After a while, the large deity sensed the old pri dying and evinced fluster on its face.

A loud, sorrowful cry rang out. All the peacocks in the world heard it.
“Never mind. If I’m destined to fall, I might as well rge into you. After all, you are ford by my divine nature. Eat . Hurry!” the large deity said coldly.

The small deity opened its mouth and swallowed the large deity.
However, the large deity’s divine nature was overly vast. It would be difficult to digest it imdiately after swallowing it.
Coo! The small deity howled in pain.
“I’ll help you!” Kong Xuan’s voice suddenly rang out.

A surging demonic aura poured into the small deity. Kong Xuan did his best to help the small deity to refine the large deity.
A surging demonic aura also poured out of Kong Xuan’s body once again. As the peacock race elders wept in sorrow, they looked at Kong Xuan with unsightly expressions.
All of these elders wanted to be the next pri. However, the person before them snatched the position away first.

“The Six Paths Veritable Lord set a bounty on him, wanting his death. Won’t he bring a calamity to my peacock race?”
“No! The peacock deity is in his hands. We need to take it back!”

The twenty elders argued for a long ti but could not co to a conclusion.

The first elder looked at Kong Xuan with a complicated expression.
Then, the elders turned away to give the other peacocks instructions.

A loud noise ca from outside.
“Who is it?”
“How dare you?!”
“Who are you?!”
Countless peacocks roared ferociously.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Loud reports ca from outside. The elders rushed out of the Peacock Deity Hall and were shocked to discover towering pillars surrounding Peacock Deity Island. The pillars seed to form a large ritual array, trapping Peacock Deity Island in the middle.
“Break the barrier!” the peacocks roared ferociously.
The pri just died, and soone imdiately dared to cause trouble at Peacock Deity Island?
A peacock flew to the barrier, wanting to tear it apart.
“Roar!”
A giant toad spirit appeared and swallowed that peacock.
“It swallowed the Mao City Peacock King! Kill it!”
“How dare you create trouble at Peacock Deity Island?! You are seeking death!”
Many peacocks charged forward.
The expressions of the twenty elders standing at the Peacock Deity Hall’s entrance changed.
“Toad Demon? Didn’t the Solar Divine Palace destroy it?” an elder said, shocked.
As many peacocks charged forward, more ferocious beasts rushed into the ritual array.
“Roar! Roar! Roar!”
All the peacocks who charged forward got swallowed or torn apart.
“How audacious!”
A peacock elder’s expression changed as he swung out a beam of five-colored divine light.
Boom!
The five-colored divine light bloodied Toad Demon and flung it away. However, it did not die. Many other animal spirit kings rushed into the ritual array.
“The peacock race? Hahahahaha! You are only so-so!” the animal spirit kings guffawed ferociously.
The surrounding peacocks continued charging forward. The first elder’s face sank. “Stop!”
The first elder stopped the peacocks. He scanned the vicinity sullenly. More animal spirit kings appeared, surrounding and trapping them on Peacock Deity Island.
“Humph! You are just a bunch of rabble. Do you know that Peacock Deity Island is the center of my peacock race? There are many strong peacocks on this island. Do you think you can do as you please here? Everyone, are you planning to remain here forever?” the first elder said with a cold expression.
Caw!
Suddenly, a loud crow’s cry rang out in the sky, and what looked like a sun charged down. It moved very quickly, arriving before the first elder in an instant.
“What?” The elders’ expressions changed.
The expert that charged over, radiating a ferocious aura, arrived above the first elder’s head in nearly an instant. Three golden claws reached down, poised to crush the first elder’s head.
“Five-colored divine light!” the first elder cried out, extending his right arm as his expression changed dramatically.
Whoosh!
Boom!
The three golden claws tore apart the first elder’s five-color divine light. Then, they landed on his outstretched arm.
Rip!
The claws pulled hard, ripping off the first elder’s right arm. Blood spurted everywhere.
“Five-colored divine light!”
Whoosh!
The other nineteen elders had to attack together before they managed to push back the expert.
“Master!” the invading beasts greeted respectfully.
After having one arm torn off, the first elder showed pain on his face. However, he did not scream. Instead, he clutched the stump and gazed at the master of the ferocious beasts in horror.
It was a gigantic three-legged golden crow.
“The Eastern Monarch, the Supre Singularity?!” the first elder exclaid in shock as sweat poured down his forehead.
Buzz!
The three-legged golden crow took on the Supre Singularity’s appearance. Then, he said with a cold smile, “That old thing has already died. Where is the peacock deity?”
“Supre Singularity, are you trying to snatch the peacock deity? Back then, Pri spared your life. To think you want to requite rcy with revenge?” the first elder said with hatred.
“Requite rcy with revenge? Humph! That old thing injured back then. Now is the ti for revenge. Super peacock deity? It is indeed a great threat. A six-colored divine light able to cut anything? Humph! There is no need for the peacock race to continue existing in this world!” the Supre Singularity said coldly.
“What did you say?” The first elder’s expression suddenly changed. “You arrived so quickly. You…you were waiting for Pri to die?”
“It looks like you are not that stupid. Hand over the peacock deity, and I can spare the peacock bloodline. Otherwise, I will exterminate the peacock race, not sparing a single one, and drive it to extinction!” the Supre Singularity said ferociously.
