“Oh… you’re a robot?” Luna asked, surprised.

She had read books about robots and always assud they were just tools or humanoid toys made by humans. She never imagined that these so-called robots could be… so human…?

“Hmph, looking down on robots? Robots have rights too!” The little robot huffed with indignation. “And I have a na. It’s Chris. You better morize that! Chris!” it added.

“Heh, a robot acting so bossy.” Luna grabbed Chris by the hand and poked its face, which looked like a display screen. “You’re the one who pushed earlier, huh? How arrogant. Do you seriously think you can get away without being punished?”

“Preposterous! I’m old enough to be your granduncle! How dare you disrespect your ancestor! According to clan rules, you’re supposed to be spanked in public! Put down at once!”

“Heh, what clan rules? I don’t know anything about that. And what’s with all this talk about granduncle and ancestors? Are you saying my ancestor was actually a robot?”

Chris tried to break free from Luna’s grasp, but being so small, it couldn’t even reach her body.

“Disobedient child, prepare for my wrath!”

Clack, clack, clack.

A small cannon barrel appeared on Chris’ shoulder, and before Luna could react, a ball of water shot out, drenching her completely.

“Hmph, now you understand the power of your granduncle, huh!” Chris crossed its arms in front of its chest, beaming smugly.

“YOU!” Luna, embarrassed and furious, was ready to dismantle the little robot in her hands and turn it into scrap tal. But just then, the cylindrical life-support device in front of her made a strange noise.

It seed like a switch had been activated, and the green liquid inside was quickly being drained away, revealing the figure of a perfectly shaped body.

Soft, long hair cascaded down to the knees like a black waterfall, framing a beautiful face so exquisite it seed almost like a work of art. Luna found herself holding her breath, afraid of disturbing this seemingly fairy-tale-like beauty.

A swan-like, graceful neck led down to a pair of lons. The sight of the form was so imposing it gave Luna a strange feeling of pressure, despite having a good figure herself.

From below the imposing chest was a slender waist that could fit snugly into soone’s grasp.

But Luna recoiled instinctively as she gazed at the near-perfect beauty in front of her, almost as if she had seen a monster.

“A-… ancestor?”

An incredulous exclamation escaped her lips, which had been hanging open in shock.

Luna could hardly believe what she was seeing. The beauty before her looked exactly like the portrait of the founding emperor of the Holy Dragon Empire, a portrait she had stumbled upon in her father’s private library.

At that ti, Luna had assud it was just the work of her father or a court artist. After all, both the official history and folk rumors of the Holy Dragon Empire described her ancestor—the founding emperor—as a man.

But now, the figure from that painting was standing before her. Could it be that…?

The sleeping beauty’s long, thick eyelashes fluttered slightly, as if responding to Luna’s words. Her eyes slowly opened, still hazy with confusion. In just the space of a few breaths, she regained her focus and turned her gaze toward Luna with a critical stare.

Luna froze.

The mont their eyes t, she felt as if she were sinking to the bottom of a dark sea. An overwhelming sense of oppression enveloped her.

“Lady Ciel Hesse! Lady Ciel Hesse!” Seizing the opportunity while Luna was paralyzed, Chris slipped free from her grasp and bounced toward the feet of the woman nad Ciel. “Lady Ciel Hesse, you’re finally awake!”

“Oh, it’s you, Chris.” Ciel turned her head and flashed an absolutely radiant smile at the robot. “How long have I been asleep?” she asked.

“One thousand and three years!” Chris responded enthusiastically, almost like an eager puppy, wagging its tracks with excitent.

“One thousand… and three huh?” Ciel seed to focus on the latter part of that number, murmuring with a sigh, “It’s getting longer again.”

Then, with a graceful step, Ciel exited the transparent cylinder case around her like it was made of air. As soon as her feet touched the ground, a pure white palace dress materialized on her body, emphasizing her beauty and lending her an air of even greater nobility.

She crouched down, gently patting Chris’ smooth head in an affectionate gesture. “You’ve done well while I was asleep for such a long ti.”

“Hehe, thank you, Lady Ciel Hesse…” Chris bead, its eyes turning into large arcs, clearly enjoying the head pats.

“So…” Ciel turned her gaze to the overwheld Luna. “Your na is Luna… Luna Hesse right?” she asked.

“Who…” Luna, who was finally regaining so control over her movents, managed to speak, albeit with a trembling voice. “Who are you?” she asked.

“?” Ciel placed her finger on her vermillion lips, gazing at Luna with an innocent expression. “Shouldn’t you know that already?” she asked.

“Nonsense, I’ve never t you…”

Though Luna had seen a portrait of soone who looked like the woman standing before her, the idea that the founding emperor was still alive until now was too… absurd.

“Oh my, hearing you say that saddens … Master.”

Ciel’s voice and expression suddenly shifted, taking on the playful tone of a young male teenager. She then giggled, her deanor light and mischievous, like a carefree young girl again.

“Master…?”

Luna froze completely. The expression on Ciel’s face reminded her of a certain teenager, but she couldn’t reconcile this woman with the playful, goofy teen she knew.

“You’re Tadashi…?”

“Yes… but also no.”

“What do you an?”

“In that dream, I was indeed Tadashi. But the real Tadashi… isn’t .”

“The real Tadashi… isn’t you? Who is he then?” Luna felt like her brain was on the verge of a ltdown.

“Don’t you already know?”

“Know? How could I possibly know? I’m utterly confused…”

“In that case, let reveal the answer to you.”

Ciel snapped her fingers and countless screen displays suddenly appeared around Luna, each displaying the image of the sa person on it.

Blonde hair, blue eyes, pale skin, standing just under 1.2 ters. She looked like a life-sized porcelain doll in a black lolita dress, with a pitifully flat chest.

It was Lilith. Or more precisely, they were all Lilith with different expressions—laughing, crying, angry, sad, happy, playful, confused, arrogant…

Ciel glanced at the image of Lilith on the screens, her face revealing a mix of emotions that Luna almost recognized—an expression full of inner conflict.

“Tadashi is Lilith, and Lilith is also Tadashi. To be more precise, Tadashi is Lilith’s previous life, and Lilith… is Tadashi of this lifeti.”
