Self-obsession....

A’Fen frowned. It wasn’t A’Ying’s fault. It was his self-obsession that led him to agree to let her stay here.

"Senior, I’m back."

While he was blaming himself, a voice startled him. He relaxed his vigilance, and he was so entangled with his thoughts that he didn’t notice her breath approaching. No...Did she learn how to hide her breath?

"Senior, here are the carrot tops, raspberries, and flowers." Shenlian Yingyue arrived at the cave.

A’Fen looked at her.

The long white robe (Hanfu) that reached her legs showed off her graceful figure. Her long, black hair swayed when the breeze blew. She didn’t tie her hair but let it drop casually behind her back, which added a sense of beauty.

Holding the flower basket in her hand with cautiousness, she walked lightly and didn’t dare to make any noise in case she offended him.

She stepped on the soft grass with her bare feet. The nails on her toe are pink and lovely.

Her master told her to take off her boots when she stepped into the cave. A’Fen disliked the impurities.

"co closer." Seeing that she stood so far away from him, A’Fen raised his hand, waving to let her co closer.

Shenlian YingYue walked and put the basket on the rock with hesitation.

Her cautious attitude was extrely funny and lovely in his eyes.

A’Fen lifted the corner of his lips slightly when she didn’t notice.

"Co and sit with ." He said it in a plain but pleasing tone.

Shenlian YingYue looked at him for a while before she moved very slowly and sat on the rock, next to the rock where he was sitting.

A’Fen, "..."

"I said co to sit on the rock where I was sitting." He uttered it again.

Shenlian YingYue sat down next to him and suddenly turned to stare at him.

"Is there sothing on my face?" A’Fen raised his eyebrows.

Shenlian Yingyue didn’t speak and continued to stare at him tightly.

A’Fen twitched his lips. What happened to her?

One minute, two minutes, three minutes, and five minutes later, the two kept staring at each other with speechlessness.

When she didn’t speak, A’Fen was silent too.

"Excuse , senior, are you hurt?" She fixed her gaze on his expression and the emotion in his cerise-pink eyes.

Blood. She slls a fishy sll of blood in this cave. There weren’t any spirits, beasts, or animals here. There wasn’t anyone here either. There is only one possibility: the sll ca from A’Fen’s body.

The mont she was closer to the cave where A’Fen stayed, she already noticed the fishy sll of blood. She wanted to pretend not to know because she didn’t want to arouse his dissatisfaction for ddling in his business.

Nevertheless, the sll was extrely strong. She didn’t know what happened to her. Since she advanced to the Nascent Soul period, she was extrely sensitive to everything, whether it was humans’ emotions, humans’ feelings, the surrounding events, or even the sll of sothing.

Does this have to do with her origin in the Shenlian clan? What kind of clan was that? She sohow suspected that she wasn’t a human.

"You..." A’Fen’s expression changed. He looked at her with a shocking expression.

How did she know? He was sure that he had cleaned up all the traces, leaving nothing behind.

"Senior, may I help?" She was eager to help.

She didn’t know why; she felt extrely familiar with him, but she was sure that she didn’t know him. This is the first ti that she has seen him.

Knowing that he was hurt, she thought of FenFen again. The first ti she saw FenFen, was at the bamboo forest in Peach Blossom Peak. (Chapter 78-79)

Perhaps his eyes were similar to FenFen; she was distressed to see him getting hurt.

"You can’t help ." A’Fen sighed.

"Get out of here; I don’t need you anymore. Your breath and existence stained my place. You’re dirty!" A’Fen’s face turned gloomy. He said it with disgust.

Shenlian YingYue twitched her lips. How could his attitude suddenly change to 360 degrees?

"Get out of my face right now!" A’Fen’s voice carried a hint of danger. The surroundings turned stiff and cold.

Shenlian YingYue stood up as she walked out of the cave without looking back. Her back was resolute, like she would never co here again.

After a long ti, fifteen minutes, A’Fen didn’t sense her breath in the forbidden mountain anymore. She didn’t return. She really left. His gloomy expression slowly turned into despair.

Thus, all he saw was red. He touched his eyes to find that the blood was dripping out.

It was good that he chased her out before she saw his pathetic and hopeless condition. That girl doesn’t like blood.

He held the basket of flowers that she had held before. Her rosy, soft breath was still lingering around here.

I’m sorry for chasing you away. I’m sorry for hurting you with my words.

He knew that she was a good person. She was very kind and considerate of others. She was worried for him, and he pushed her away in that disgusting tone. She must be very sad right now.

He lied to her when he said that she was dirty. She wasn’t dirty; he was. She didn’t stain his place. On the contrary, he was afraid that his blood would stain her white and flawless dress.

A’Fen closed his eyes, his back weakly leaning on the cold wall. How pathetic he was right now. If only he t her sooner. It’s too late. It was his greatest luck in this Mortal Realm when he got to know her and felt her gentleness.

He should embrace her kindness forever, even if one day he is no longer here. But before he left, he would make sure to turn those scum into dust.

The nightmare from the past flashed in his eyes. Every ti he closed his eyes, he saw those mories that had been tornting him for years.

"Senior, I made a flower crown for you." A soft voice pulled him back from his nightmare.

A’Fen opened his eyes in disbelief. He looked at the girl, who ran to put the flower crown in front of him.

He thought that she had left this mountain. He didn’t sense her breath. What’s wrong? Has his power weakened to the point that he can’t control this mountain and forest anymore?

"Why did you return?" He asked weakly.

"I didn’t return." She tilted her head in perplexity.

"I thought that you left." A’Fen tried to speak. He really couldn’t understand her logic at all.

"I had never left." Shenlian YingYue shook her head.

A’Fen was bewildered.

"Oh, I did leave." She changed her answer. He did make sense.

"But I went to pick up the flowers." She lifted the flower crown in her hand to show him her result.
