He couldn't help but marvel at the sight, feeling a rush of excitent coursing through him.

There, he saw various holes, each wide enough to hold a couple of scrolls. There were hundreds of such holes with scrolls in them, while so had small shiny jade stones.
In the barren land, no one used scrolls anymore; books were the norm. With this, his curiosity increased by a notch.
He reached out and picked one of the scrolls. Slowly, he unfolded the scroll and saw various sketches of a person practicing a skill. Below each sketch was a short description.
Realizing what this scroll was, a bright smile crept up his face.
When he read to the last sketch, the martial skill's na was boldly written — Black Serpent Strike, a Peak Mortal Rank Martial Technique.
At the current era, the martial skill could be ranked as an Earth Rank technique, but it was one of the ordinary skills in the lowest corner of the hole.

He was furious for a couple of monts before he managed to regain his calm. He slowly placed the mory jade on his forehead.
At once, a series of information flushed into his brain, and a man was performing a powerful skill. It was a Mortal Martial Taboo skill.
Taking the jade from his forehead, he was astounded, not knowing what to say.
He had once seen a taboo skill in the system store but didn't bother to look at it. Now, he realized how deadly and terrifying it was.
Taking a deep breath, he returned the mory jade back to its spot and surveyed the hundreds of holes with various conflicting emotions.
He was awed by the ingenuity of the ancient people and also pitied them. However, he got his emotions under control and surveyed the massive room carefully.

He passed through the crack and journeyed downward. As he walked deeper, he realized the spirit essence was getting thicker with each step.
Knowing what was ahead, a bright smile crept up his face. At the end of the crack was a gigantic spiritual vein, pulsating with strong essence.
Around the spiritual energy vein were thousands of spirit stones, and among the thousands of spirit stones were a few that were brighter than the others.
"dium grade," he murmured, picking one up. He used it and noticed how different it was from a low-grade spirit stone.
To compare it, a hundred spirit stones would have the effect of a dium-grade spirit stone. But the purity couldn't be compared.
Therefore, there was no way low spirit stones could be compared to a dium-grade spirit stone.
After checking everything, he swept all the spirit stones into his storage ring before returning to the previous massive room and sweeping it clean as well.
He left the hidden cave and muttered the ancient words, and the formation guarding the inheritance appeared once again.
