In the obscure corner of the room, the illusory old woman was astounded by Su Yen's shalessness.
'What an interesting kid?' She thought with a sowhat bright smile.
She knew how cunning and ruthless the Sand demon was, but today, he t his nesis. Suddenly, she creased her brow.
'But is this kid that stupid or what, that he didn't take the heavenly oath seriously? It would be a pity if such a genius was killed due to his overconfidence and stupidity.' She thought and shook her head.
Since she couldn't ddle with what was happening, she could only see how things unfold.
As for the sealed demon lord, he looked at Su Yen with a stupefied gaze. 'What is happening? Is this kid nuts or what?'
'Did he think the heavenly oath was a joke?'
'I, the demon lord, won't dare joke with the heavenly oath. How dare a mortal kid joke with it.'
'Humph! This is good. As long as he attacks. The heavenly oath will destroy him.' With this thought, he cald down and looked at Su Yen, waiting for him to attack.
Su Yen looked at the giant man chained and couldn't help but click his tongue. 'How strong is he that he needs to be chained with such an ancient formation?' He exclaid.
The markings coming from the formation showed how old they were; so markings on the chains were already fading, showing they were already losing effect.
'This must be the reason he could send his minions to attack,' he thought for a mont before raising his sword slowly.
'Yes! Yes! Attack .' The sealed demon shouted excitedly in his heart.
Sighed. 'What a sha,' the hidden old woman thought.
Su Yen didn't know what was going on in the minds of everyone, but he looked at the sealed demon and smirked.
He could guess what was going on in the mind of the sealed demon and couldn't help but chuckle inwardly.
"Starlight Blossom Slash — Fifth Form."
This ti around, he didn't hold back and went all out.
Instantly, the five dazzling starlights appeared in the dimly lit temple. The intimidating strike combined with sword soul and aura made the scalp tingle.
He felt a faint sense of death from this attack. He realized he had underestimated Su Yen's strength. Even if the heavens obliterated him, he would have long been killed.
Therefore, he quickly wanted to stop Su Yen from attacking, but it was too late.
The dazzling starlight attack filled the temple and traveled at a jaw-dropping speed toward the sealed demon.
Watching the terrifying sword in front of him, he skipped a beat and felt the world turn upside down. Thousands of sword lights crept into his sand body, cutting every fiber in his body to pieces.
Everything happened in a blink and then.
Boom!
The temple shook vehently to its core.
Instantly, all the Desert Sand n battling inside and outside disintegrated into sand, blown away by the wind.
The Celestial Heavenly Sect soldiers had already lost hope of escaping from this nightmare. However, they saw the desert sand n turning into nothingness without attacking.
They widened their eyes and looked at each other with confusion written on their faces.
'What the hell is going on?' They asked with their eyes.
Inside the mysterious ancient city, Su Ming and the elite soldiers froze for a couple of seconds before Su Ming said in a low voice.
"That must be the work of our little brother…"
Back to the temple, the sealed demon had a deep cut appear on his chest, with a web of cracks spreading throughout his body.
His vitality was draining at a visible speed; his body was slowly turning into dust. Noticing this, the sand demon lord was stunned and scared at the sa ti.
Also, the hidden old woman was also stunned, with her jaw dropped to the ground.
'How could this be? Where is the heavenly punishnt?' They both cried in their hearts.
Both the two old fogeys couldn't wrap their heads around what just happened. A kid bound by a heavenly oath went against the oath and nothing happened.
Is the heavens playing favoritism now?!
"What do you do…?" the sealed demon asked with a trembling voice.
Su Yen looked at the disintegrating sealed demon and clicked his tongue. "Can't you understand… If you don't understand, then co back from the afterlife and ask once again."
With that, he attacked once again.
Bang!
The sealed demon's giant body shattered into pieces, leaving only his head intact. The glowing chain around him dimd slowly before disappearing.
Su Yen breathed a sigh of relief when he realized everything had gone according to plan. If the sand demon had fought head on, the fight wouldn't have been smooth sailing.
Just as he thought everything was over, he heard the grievous voice of the sand demon coming from his head.
"Kid, you may have killed , but this isn't over yet. My people will co and avenge . You'll regret killing ."
With that, the intact head shattered into pieces.
Su Yen froze for a mont before chuckling. "At least you won't be alive to witness it."
He turned his head and looked at the eerie quiet temple and said in a low voice.
"Will you co out now or what?"
For a couple of seconds, there was no movent inside the temple before an aged voice ca
from the left side, and an illusory woman appeared.
"How did you know? Did you perhaps sense my existence?" The old woman fixed her gaze on Su Yen with wide eyes.
"I don't." Su Yen shook his head. "I know soone must be guarding the sealed demon. This ancient formation can't exist without soone controlling it."
"Hmm, have you seen others like ?" She asked skeptically.
"Yes." He nodded.
"I see..." A look of realization appeared on her face before looking at Su Yen as if he was looking at an old monster.
"I've to say, you're such a wise, cunning young man. You beat the old demon dog at his own ga." She said with a smile.
Su Yen did not respond. He was only trying to survive and protect the barren land; that's all.
Looking at him, the illusory woman shook her head when she realized Su Yen was not simple at all. As an ancient being, she couldn't see through him at all.
Besides, she couldn't understand how he managed to avoid being attacked by the heavenly punishnt. Even though she was curious, she didn't ask.
"You've saved the world from one of its hidden threats. Thank you." She bowed.
"You don't need to thank . I'm just doing my job." Su Yen shrugged and asked.
"Is there anything for ?"
That's what was important to him right now. He knew that what was coming was not sothing he could handle if he was weak.
Haha.
The illusory woman couldn't help but laugh. She liked Su Yen's frankness. He knew what he wanted and went for it.
"Like you've guessed. This formation needs a massive spiritual energy to keep running for thousands of years. Below this city is a massive spiritual vein." She said casually.
"My ti is almost up…" She continued. "Don't stop from getting stronger. These are the weaker demons. You must get stronger quickly before any of the demons break out of their seal."
"I will try my best." Su Yen responded.
"That's enough… I'm glad I t you."
With that, she turned into a puff of smoke, dead.
Instantly, the mysterious ancient city began to shake vehently. Powerful sandstorms rose from the dunes, rushing toward the ancient city as if trying to bury its secret.
