Caden looked at Chrona, his concern evident.

"Chrona, how many more tis do you think you can co back?"

Chrona lowered her head, her exhaustion plain in the dark circles under her eyes.

"I don't know," she whispered. "My calculation ability has limits. I can't even reverse ti like I normally do. I didn't do it before because the Reaper had already…killed everyone, and I was too scared to think clearly."

Ping, who had been silently observing, pulled a small device from his pocket and studied it.

"I'd say she has about two more chances left."

"Two more lifelines before we all die," Sumr murmured, her voice shaky.

Lucky sighed, his usual catchphrase slipping out. "I do not feel lucky right now."

Caden's expression hardened with determination. "We are not gonna die. We'll figure sothing out. You've done enough, Chrona. Now, it's ti we do sothing else."

"So, do we run?" Christina asked hesitantly. "I an, it's true that we can't leave the city thanks to that shady agreent, but…"

Chris stood, pacing. "We can still run within the city. Seventy million people, countless hiding places…"

Christina shook her head. "But can we hide from that monster?"

Ping cut in, his tone resolute. "There's no hiding. It's only been two hours since we brought Anne here, and he already found us. We can't run or hide."

Anne, who had been silent until now, hesitated before speaking. "Can I help? If you don't mind, can you show what you saw?"

Petra's voice was soft, almost a whisper. "I'm not sure you want to see sothing that grueso."

"Please… show ," Anne insisted.

Petra looked to Caden for approval. When he nodded, she placed her hand on Anne's, allowing her to see the terrifying vision. Monts later, Petra withdrew her hand, leaving Anne pale and shaking.

"He's terrifying…" Anne whispered, her voice barely audible. She took a deep breath.

"What if you guys run and leave behind? He wouldn't co after you then, right?"

Chrona shook her head weakly. "I don't have much left in . If he cos after us, we're all still dead."

"There's another way," Maya said, glancing at Sumr. "We can use a different ability—see the future rather than living it."

John's face darkened. "That would force Sumr to relive the pain of what happened at the lab. And seeing the future… it cos with its own risks."

Sumr's determination cut through the tension. "I want to help. If we don't, we all still die."

The others exchanged worried glances, knowing the dangers but recognizing they had little choice.

"What are you talking about?" Anne asked, confused.

Petra explained. "Sumr's a clairvoyant. She can do more than just see through walls and distances. If we push her powers to the limit, she can glimpse fragnts of the future."

Christina's tone was serious. "But it's dangerous. We could lose her."

"That's why we never use it," Lucky muttered.

"The idea," Oliver added reluctantly, "is to use the old man's ability to absorb energy and redirect it to Sumr. It's sothing the white coats at the lab ca up with."

"It's too dangerous," May said, worry lacing her voice.

Sumr clenched her fists, her eyes blazing with resolve.

"What choice do we have? It's like Caden said—soone else has to take point. Chrona's been through too much. We need to do this."

She looked around at the group, her determination unwavering. "Chrona has suffered enough."

Tears welled up in her eyes, but her voice remained steady. Caden sighed, the weight of the decision resting heavily on his shoulders. "Alright… we'll do it."

"But we're all going in with you," he added. "Petra will link us so we can share the load. We'll support you as best we can."

"Or we all get our brains fried," Ping quipped, trying to lighten the mood despite the tension.

"Sounds like fun. Sign up," Lucky replied, his voice tinged with forced humor.

Christina nodded, her face set in grim determination. "We stick together, no matter what."

John gave a short nod. "We've co too far to give up now."

Lucky grinned weakly. "Let's roll the dice one more ti. Maybe we'll hit the jackpot."

May sighed, though her expression softened. "I'm not sitting this one out."

Anne watched their little family with a warm smile, her heart swelling with admiration. Despite everything, they hadn't tried to attack her, even when the Reaper had co because of her. They were good people, and she was determined to help them, no matter what.

They all joined hands, forming a circle with Sumr at the center. Anne glanced around at the group, her heart pounding with a mix of fear and determination.

"I'm coming too... please, let help," she said, her voice filled with resolve.

The others turned to her, their expressions ranging from surprise to concern.

Caden sighed, his resignation evident. "Fine... your funeral."

Chris offered Anne a smile. "Just stay close, and don't do anything reckless."

John gave a small nod, his usual playfulness peeking through. "This ain't gonna be easy, but if you're sure, then welco to the club."

Christina's voice held a note of worry. "I'm not thrilled about this, but we need all the help we can get."

Lucky tried to lighten the mood, though his smile didn't reach his eyes. "Guess the more, the rrier. Just don't freak out on us."

Petra smiled, "Keep your thoughts clear and let guide you."

Anne smiled back, grateful for their acceptance. She reached out and took Maya's hand, who squeezed back in reassurance.

John stepped forward, activating his ability, [Siphon]. A faint glow surrounded him as he absorbed energy from everyone, channeling a controlled amount toward Sumr. The air grew heavy, crackling with unseen forces.

Sumr, bracing for what was to co, activated her ability, [Remote Eye]. The world around her blurred and distorted, reality slipping away as she was pulled into the future.

Colors and shapes twisted before her eyes, her consciousness dragged into the taverse—a vast and chaotic realm of shifting landscapes and alien structures. The ground beneath her pulsed like a living entity, while dark clouds twisted above.

She could feel the others' presence, faint echoes in the back of her mind as they shared her vision of this eerie world. Despite the terror around her, she stood still, waiting for her ability to guide her forward.

The taverse shattered, replaced by a new vision. She recognized their hideout but felt an unsettling silence. Anne sat alone, her expression anxious, glancing nervously around.

Suddenly, the wall exploded, and the Reaper appeared, his chilling presence sending shivers through Sumr. Anne's face twisted with fear and unease as the Reaper's voice cut through the air, cold and rciless.

"Anne, are you okay? Did they hurt you...? They will pay."

Anne shook her head, her voice trembling. "No, they didn't! Please, don't hurt them!"

The Reaper's expression remained cold. "They must pay," he hissed, eyes gleaming with malice.

A dark bicorn erged from his shadow, its nacing form towering over Anne. With a swift motion, the Reaper placed Anne on its back before she could react.

"Please! Don't do this! They didn't do anything wrong!" she cried, her voice breaking.

The Reaper's gaze softened for a brief mont, but his resolve stayed firm. "You are kind, Anne. That is why they must die—for trying to hurt you."

With that, the bicorn and Anne vanished, leaving the Reaper alone in the hideout.

He stepped further into the room, scanning it with calculated precision. "Now then, where did those rats go?" he muttered.

Tapping the gauntlet on his wrist, he activated a hidden device. "They escaped. Can you track them down for ?" His voice was calm, but dark intent laced every word.

A voice responded from the device, cold and efficient. "Very well. I shall track them down."
