After finishing his al, Lin Xin went out for a stroll alone, but the surroundings were shrouded in fog everywhere.
Aside from shops and car dealerships, there was nothing else in this small town, making it seem entirely like a transit station.
Outside the city was completely enveloped in a grey mist, obscuring everything from view.
Lin Xin spent two days wandering around the shops. However, the highest grade items sold there were only at the Golden Core Level, and nothing higher.
For his current stage, Talismanic Magic Artifacts and magic treasures below the Human Immortal Level were utterly useless.
Over these days, more than ten people had arrived at the small building, few of whom under thirty possessed strong secret techniques to hide their aura, allowing Lin Xin to easily see through their cultivation levels.
Not one was at the Human Immortal Level, the highest being a man with Golden Core Cultivation, seemingly of a special bloodline, his eyes always hinting at a golden color.
Most were just at Foundation Establishnt, and so even had re internal family cultivation; clearly, these were the ones with decent aptitude who had unlocked their spiritual nature through insight.
Among them were also a few newcors who had stumbled in by mistake, clueless and bewildered as they were led inside.
Chen Jingsi took the opportunity to spread general knowledge among these newcors, and given her beauty, she quickly gathered three young n around her, forming a small group.
After gleaning the information he wanted, Lin Xin began to wander around aimlessly.
Soon, at noon on the third day.
The Immortal Master who had been there before ca to fetch people again.
He stood on the first floor of the hall, his gaze sharp as a hawk, sweeping over everyone who had arrived.
"Is everyone here? I won’t wait for latecors."
"Immortal Master, exactly twenty people, all present," Chen Jingsi stepped forward and announced loudly.
"Hmm."
The Immortal Master nodded, his gaze sweeping over everyone again.
"Which one of you is of pureblood divine heritage, please step forward."
His tone suddenly beca extrely courteous.
"Pureblood!?"
Instantly, among the twenty people, most were in an uproar.
This was a barren place, and everyone was here aiming to beco an official disciple.
Pureblood! That ant direct entry as a preliminary core disciple and, upon passing the assessnt test, achieving core status!
There was actually a pureblood here?!
Chen Jingsi and Master Kuan An were both shocked.
Especially Chen Jingsi, feeling uneasy and regretful at the sa ti.
Her regret was that, given the short ti, there were a few people she hadn’t managed to build relationships with proactively.
Her worry was that the exact people she hadn’t paid attention to might be the pureblood ntioned.
People looked around at each other, all a bit wary in their hearts. A pureblood, a being of legend, appearing in such a desolate small place. This could snatch away a valuable spot.
Master Kuan An also squinted left and right, checking. Despite these days, he hadn’t noticed that a pureblood was hiding among them.
He was sowhat expectant, having never seen a pureblood of legend before.
But he also felt slightly heavy-hearted, knowing a pureblood would certainly occupy one of the spots here, reducing the chances for everyone else present.
After all, every additional pureblood would definitely take up one spot, and there were only so many fixed spots....
As he and Chen Jingsi were contemplating this, they suddenly sensed soone moving to the front from beside them.
Lin Xin stepped forward with long strides, positioning himself right in front of everyone, in front of the Immortal Master.
Chen Jingsi’s eyes widened in shock as she stared at his back.
"It’s actually him!?"
Her mind was filled with complex emotions. These past few days, because she and Master Kuan An had hit it off well, she had sparingly used all her charm, ensnaring the monk completely, just to eventually earn a relationship that could secure an official disciple spot.
This led her to gradually neglect the initially potential target she had favored.
Little did she think... this person was the true powerful being!
"If only... If only I had spent all those efforts on him, a re youth like him, with my charm and beauty, I could have totally bewitched him into doing whatever I said.
In that case, even if I couldn’t guarantee an official disciple spot! I might at least beco a follower entering Green Lake Mountain!"
The more she thought about it, the more regretful she felt, yet she couldn’t show it, her heart burning intensely.
Alas....
But she knew deeply that n always desire what they can’t obtain.
She hadn’t truly gotten together with the old monk yet, maybe there was still a chance....
Her mind raced with thoughts.
anwhile, Master Kuan An had already noticed her changing expressions and indecisive thoughts, sneering in his heart.
"To think that the pureblood would take a liking to her, hilarious! She really thinks that young man is easy to fool!"
This woman was too shortsighted; having fun with her was fine, but keeping her by his side was out of the question.
After Lin Xin stepped forward, the Immortal Master nodded gently at him.
"Alright, you sit in the front, the rest co with ."
He stepped forward grandly, soaring into the air and exiting the small building.
Outside by the pond, a huge white eagle was perched.
With wings spread out, they spanned over thirty ters, and the body was also over twenty ters long, standing by the water, bending down to drink.
The crowd followed the Immortal Master and climbed onto the back of the eagle.
With Lin Xin included, the group of twenty people all boarded the giant white-feathered eagle, and there were still so free spaces left.
Whew....
The giant eagle flapped its wings once and suddenly shot forward.
Its speed instantaneously elevated nearly to the extre level of the Polar Region.
The surroundings abruptly turned into a colorful blur, and nothing could be distinguished.
A layer of transparent light screen like a windmill erged, protecting everyone from being burst by the intense pressure brought on by the high speed.
"Lin Xin, this ti I will first take you to our Qing Shan Realm’s agency within the Sect, where all purebloods are gathered to participate in the bloodline testing.
Afterwards, accommodations will be assigned based on the bloodline ranking,"
Master Wang kindly explained.
"If you have any doubts, you can ask beforehand."
He clearly intended to build so rapport first, appearing to recognize that purebloods held a certain privileged status in Green Lake Mountain.
Lin Xin could distinctly feel envious gazes from behind him. However, he indeed had so questions he wished to ask.
"I would like to ask my senior brother, what exactly is the status of a pureblood in Green Lake Mountain, and what about in the Qing Shan Realm? Why are there so many privileges?"
Master Wang hadn’t expected Lin Xin to ask such a basic question.
He was taken aback for a mont, then quickly responded.
"Actually, many people are aware of this. Purebloods are mostly naturally powerful beings with Divine Child or Divine Beast bloodlines.
Although they are poorly malleable in cultivation practice, they reach powerful strength upon adulthood, and without cultivation, many can achieve Yuan Jing, ascending to the status of Human Immortals. Just because of this, their potential to cultivate other Decrees and Cultivation Techniques is very weak.
You could say it has its advantages and disadvantages."
He paused, then continued.
"As for why the Sect values them so highly, that’s simple,"
he said with a smile.
"Because purebloods, even without cultivation, possess at least the Golden Core Yuan Jing Level Cultivation, which in Green Lake Mountain counts as middle-level managent, one of the pillars. Recruiting purebloods ans the Sect can secure high-level cultivators without needing to nurture them, and to the Sect, that’s always a profitable deal."
Lin Xin imdiately understood.
Combining this with the attitude of the old man who had given him the token, he also had so idea in his mind.
Soon, the giant eagle gradually slowed down.
Ahead, among the clouds, there was a huge white swirling vortex of vapors.
The giant eagle flapped its wings once, imdiately diving towards the vortex, and forcefully plunged through its center.
Hiss...
The inner wall of the vortex was filled with circling gray-black clouds.
It resembled heaps of cotton piled together, with streaks of blue lightning flashing intermittently.
After flying in the vortex for a short while, the space ahead suddenly cleared up abruptly.
A cascade of golden sunlight poured down, revealing an imnse cloud vapour cave.
The cave’s inner walls were entirely made of consolidated gray-white cloud vapors.
In the very center of the cave, a giant city with a pristine white spire hung suspended, surrounded by circular purple Treasure Beads, each encapsulating a dragon-like black creature.
Around the city, white clouds cascaded down like river water, flowing to the cloud vapor ground at the bottom, rging with the surrounding cave.
Master Wang stood on the eagle’s back, his face subtly filled with pride.
"Welco to Collecting Cloud City, the Qing Shan Realm’s agency in the Mortal Realm!"
He proclaid aloud to the people behind him.
No one responded; most were simply stunned by the sight.
Even those not dazed were deeply shaken.
Constructing a city from collected cloud essence, transforming clouds into iron, involves power at a rule-level domain, and the construction of such a large city... the expense is simply unimaginable.
Lin Xin squinted, gazing into the distance. From Collecting Cloud City, he could faintly see others like them arriving on flying beasts to participate in the recruitnt.
Seen from this distance, in comparison to the city, these twenty to thirty ters long flying beasts were not even the size of sesa seeds. Given a casual glance, one could hardly make them out.
"To hear that Collecting Cloud City was personally constructed by a forr Qing Shan Realm Master using thousands of miles of collected clouds, transforming them into iron, refining a hundred thousand Wind Giants, and finally building it... such capabilities are indeed beyond our imagination,"
soone sincerely exclaid.
"Green Lake Mountain is truly Green Lake Mountain, even one of its realm’s agencies is created with such grandeur..."
"If not for this, why else would we travel thousands of miles eagerly to join?"
On the back of the eagle, everyone couldn’t help but murmur among themselves.
In the anti, Master Wang waved his hand.
Instantly, the whole giant eagle lunged forward, the scenery before them blurring montarily. They found themselves directly in front of the enormous city walls of Collecting Cloud City.
The city walls lit up with a pale blue Spiritual Light, the halo spreading and the wall slowly parting to form a giant gate.
The giant eagle rushed in, instantly entering the profound passageway within.
The dim passageway reached an end within a few monts, and ahead was a large gate emitting Bright Light.
On either side of the exit, there stood two white-robed giants wearing bronze helts, their faces obscured.
Their white robes completely covered them from head to toe, each the height of half the city wall, at least a hundred ters tall.
The two white-robed giants reached out, pulling open the giant white gates made of cloud vapors, and inside was all pristine white.
The giant eagle roared through the gap between the gates.
