Four sharp-peaked mountains ford a square, each peak bound with chains of different colors, beneath which dangled teardrop-shaped bundles of flesh and blood.

Dark clouds filled the sky above.

The chains from the four mountains converged at the center, binding themselves around the surface of a cubic glass house.

Daoist Master Huang Yuan and a masked man stood below, gazing at the transparent room hanging in midair.

Inside, a middle-aged man in black looked outward from within the room.

"Let the wind co!" True Monarch Huang Yuan raised his hand.

Whoosh...!

Suddenly, huge red runes appeared on the surface of the four mountains, and fierce winds gathered, all pouring towards Lin Xin at the center.

The transparent glass house slowly began to open its top lid amidst the wild winds.

Then the walls slowly dispersed.

Around Lin Xin at the center, walls of translucent white light runes lit up, encasing him squarely in the middle.

The chains atop the mountains began to tremble violently, making a sweeping noise.

"That will do."

The masked man nodded to True Monarch Huang Yuan.

"Rise!"

With a fierce shout,

True Monarch Huang Yuan flung his hand upwards, casting an invisible beam of light straight onto Lin Xin, suspended in midair.

Hiss!

Suddenly, with a crisp snap, Lin Xin vanished from midair. The runes on the surrounding mountains slowly dimd. Everything quickly returned to calm.

True Monarch Huang Yuan glanced at the masked man.

"I’ll go check on him. You clean up here."

"Yes," the masked man replied, bowing his head.

*****************

Within a spacious brass hall.

Its surroundings were smooth throughout, the walls, floor, and ceiling bore no patterns whatsoever.

The hall contained nothing else; it looked just like a plain, oversized room.

Lin Xin appeared abruptly in the center of the hall.

"Where is this...?"

He had only just recovered, and his body was still in a semi-weak state. Looking around, he discovered not a single door or window for exit.

"This is the Bronze Sparrow Platform."

The voice of Daoist Master Huang Yuan resounded within the hall.

"The final test is to survive here for three days."

"Survive for three days?" Lin Xin narrowed his eyes slightly. "What do you an?"

"You will soon find out," said Daoist Master Huang Yuan, his voice gradually lowering.

Standing alone in the center of the hall, Lin Xin slowly moved toward the surrounding walls.

He reached out to touch the wall.

Incredibly smooth and sowhat cold, it seed not to be made of brass but of so even more durable tal.

Hum!

Suddenly, a bright vibrating sound ca from above.

Lin Xin looked up quickly to see a totem-like peacock pattern erging in the center of the ceiling.

The pattern was fiery red, wings spread as if in flight, lifelike, imparting a solemn religious sensation.

Rumbling...

Gradually, the entire ceiling began to press down fiercely.

Lin Xin’s eyes widened as he activated his movent technique, speeding around the hall in search of possible exits.

But it was futile; not even a single seam of connection could be seen in the hall—it seed to be a solid whole.

The ceiling sank lower and lower, approaching Lin Xin within the hall.

Before long, it had reached less than two ters from the ground.

"Is this the third test?" beads of sweat ford on Lin Xin’s forehead as he darted quickly throughout the hall, even leaving behind afterimages, yet he still found no escape.

Rumble...

The ceiling continued to descend until it was nearly touching Lin Xin’s head.

"This test is one of strength!" True Monarch Huang Yuan’s voice once again filled the space.

"Strength?"

A flash of realization struck Lin Xin’s mind.

"Strength, is it? Very well."

The ceiling continued to sink downwards.

Bang!!

All of a sudden, the entire ceiling vibrated sharply, and Lin Xin braced his palms fiercely against the empty space in the center of the peacock pattern.

The ancient bronze ceiling’s weight was unknown, but as soon as Lin Xin took it on, he knew it was far from a simple ceiling; it seed like a massive tal block like a seal lay behind it. He felt like he was the stubborn piece caught inside a seal box, staunchly resisting the pressing seal from descending.

Crack!

His knees suddenly burst open, spattering blood.

Hum!!

Red light radiated brightly from the peacock pattern on the ceiling as wisps of misty fog spread out, slowly converging on Lin Xin’s knees.

The bleeding stopped quickly, and the wounds healed continuously. The rate was even faster than when Lin Xin was at his peak.

"Above your head is the Fire Spirit Seal I ticulously refined, capable of changing its weight and size. At its maximum, it can reach 108,600 catties,"

"This test is to gradually increase the pressure of the Fire Spirit Seal on you, lding all the Star Force in your body with your flesh, to thoroughly temper them together and achieve the Primitive Demon Body."

True Monarch Huang Yuan slowly explained.

"So, you need to hold out here for three days. In these three days, you will have no food or drink, and the weight will continue to increase. It will constantly be at your limit of endurance."

"108,600 catties... One catty here is over 400 grams, almost similar... which equates to 54,300 kilograms, or in a more familiar unit, 54 tons!!"

Lin Xin roughly calculated in his head and imdiately felt his hair stand on end.

This was equivalent to a standard comrcial airliner on Earth!

He was confident in his strength, with a physical attribute score of 22 points for lethality, which increased both strength and speed. But holding up sothing over fifty tons...

The Fire Spirit Seal above him grew increasingly heavy.

All his bones began to crackle and pop. All his strength madly coalesced, converging on his hands as he pushed upward fiercely.

"Heh heh heh, it’s now just under 6,000 catties. Not bad at all, to reach this stage without using Spiritual Energy!" True Monarch Huang Yuan cackled from the outside, "Good disciple, hold on, you must hold on. Even I cannot enter where the Fire Spirit Seal is, as it is made from the hardest material I can access.

If you can’t hold on, I won’t be able to co in and save you."

Lin Xin opened his mouth to speak, but a breath burst out fiercely.

Pfft!

Blood welled up from his chest and sprayed out from his throat.

His eyes also started to beco bloodshot, and his entire field of vision was gradually tinged with pale red.

He could not see it himself, but at that mont, his eyes were full of dense blood vessels, bulging high on the surface of his eyeballs, as if they might burst at any mont.

After letting out a breath, his body sank heavier, and the ceiling imdiately descended a notch further. He had no choice but to use his shoulders to continue bracing it.

He still rembered when he ca to this world; in his previous life, there had been a strongman competition where the world’s number one strongman could only pull a 73-ton airliner.

And yet, now he was struggling to support a weight of 54 tons. The gap between the two was not sothing that could be discussed on the sa level.

Because pulling and supporting are two completely different concepts.

Although the Fire Spirit Seal had not yet completely released its entire weight.

"Hold on, hold on! Your physical condition is strong now, but it’s far from the level of a Demon Body, let alone a Primitive Demon Body. You can’t even compare to the Demon Body cultivated from ordinary Demonic Arts. You’ve never encountered a true cultivator of the Demon Path before. Otherwise, you would know that those who cultivate the Ancient Demon Technique are the true representatives of the Demon Path.

Anyone who has cultivated a Demon Body possesses extrely terrifying physical attributes,"

True Monarch Huang Yuan kept talking.

"Demon Body....." His mind was in turmoil, as Lin Xin frantically spurred all the strength and stamina within his body; the imnse weight on his shoulders made his heart feel as if it couldn’t breathe and was about to explode at any mont.

Sweat poured out of his body like broken lines, forming tiny streams that slid down his legs, dampening a small patch of the ground.

The Dragon King’s Dao Foundation was frantically repairing his body, restoring his stamina, but the speed was getting slower and slower because there was nothing to eat or drink. Without energy to ignite and replenish, the restoration could only get slower.

anwhile, the peacock patterns above the Fire Spirit Seal were constantly shining with red light, releasing streams of red mist that enveloped Lin Xin. This mist seed to stimulate the imnse Star Force inside his body, allowing it to rapidly participate in the body’s repair process.

As ti regressed,

Lin Xin gradually adapted to the weight and was about to speak.

"Heavy."

Suddenly, True Monarch Huang Yuan’s voice ca through.

Boom!

A muffled sound rumbled, and the entire Fire Spirit Seal fiercely sank downwards again. The weight seed to have increased by a notch.

Just when Lin Xin thought he could catch a breath, he was once again unable to speak, only able to clench his teeth and continue to hold on. His teeth were already clenched so tightly that he could feel no sensation, just the tallic taste of blood in his mouth.

"Good disciple, you seem to be in good condition, eh? This will be the greatest tempering of your flesh body. If you get through this, you can initially achieve the Primitive Demon Body and rise to great heights in one step. If you don’t get through, you’ll just be squashed into a pulp. Such is fate; don’t bla others. It is destiny," True Monarch Huang Yuan chuckled from outside.

"As for the hidden dangers and internal injuries that co after such explosive thods, your master naturally has prepared the best top-tier injury dicine and Lifespan Extension Pills. There definitely won’t be a problem!" he said slowly, stroking his white beard.

"It’s not a matter of whether there will be a problem or not, but..."

Lin Xin really wanted to roar out loud, but the massive weight made it so he needed to use all his strength just to breathe.

Fortunately, the Star Force within his body was continuously transforming into strength, gathering in his arms and shoulders.

If it were only up to his own strength, let alone holding on for so long, he estimated he would have been crushed into a at paste in less than the ti it takes an incense stick to burn down.

"Good disciple, you have also reached the Intent Level in your cultivation practice, but you’ve practiced too much, too broadly, spreading your attention thin, and you even cultivated one unique Decree, which is especially draining on your energy and spirit. At this rate, even if you reach the Golden Core Realm before the age of sixty, there will be no chance for further breakthroughs afterward, whether it be the power of the netherworld or any other system. It’s all useless."

"Thus, I used Star Force to assimilate all your cultivation, rging it all into a part of the Primitive Demon Body. This way, the loss is minimal, and it won’t be in vain for all your previous hard cultivation."
